I reached out to them to see if they could help me with a spare tire replacement that another location did not put back in my car and they offered no help and put the blame on the other location. Discount tire is some of the worst customer experience I've experienced. I would not recommend doing business with this company. This is my second experience where they did not make things right. P.S. Now said tire company has reached out to me to look into it. Is it just me that thinks it's ridiculous that you have digitally post bad interactions to get the company to pay attention? Update! So they did get my tires the next day and I took the trailer in to have them put on. So props to Joseph for getting it right this time. When I came out to pick up my trailer I found that the attachment for my trailers electronics was destroyed. Accidents happen. I've done this before in the past as well. The manager came right out and said he would order a new attachment and wire it in for me and I could pick up the trailer tomorrow. What I appreciated about this, was they made a mistake, apologized and are fixing it. Great customer service. I had gotten a flat tire and wiper replacement, and the wrong size wiper was put on, causing both blades to break. However, when I brought it in, they did not argue or make up excuses, but they replaced both with the highest quality ones, and offered to help with one of my hubcap issues. I will always go to discount tire for my car's tire issues. They are honest and transparent if additional things come up while they are working on the car. I took my Trax in for a tire leak and they were quick to check it out and informed me of worn out lugnuts, explaining what will happen if they don't get replaced. When I come to get the air filled in my tires, they ask permission to open the drivers door, which I find very respectful and appreciate it greatly. I don't like car things... I don't. So I make it my business to find reliable people to do the car things for me. Discount Tire is my go-to for wheels and tires. The warranty that they offer on tires is fantastic. Today I hit a curb and tore open the sidewall of my tire (I swerved to a avoid an animal, I was only going about 30mph!). Because I opted for the warranty when I purchased the tire, my replacement cost me nothing. The only thing I purchasedu is the warranty for a new tire. They do take walk-ins and appointments here. The seats are pretty comfy in the lobby, so if you have to wait a bit at least your rear is cozy. Take a book along though as they have no tv or other entertainment. I've been really pleased with my products and service at this Discount Tire. The service continues to other stores as well, I have had flat tires in both Kalamazoo and Holland and those store have honored the commitment from this store and got me back on the road asap. The location on Alpine in Grand Rapids is much better as they immediately check air pressure when you drive up. At this location they made me park the car, go inside, go back to my car and wait over 20 minutes while they attended to other customers who arrived after me! I sat in the comfy chairs where they have coffeee and water. Twenty mintues later they pulled my car up and said "You're all set." I had a nail in a tire, which they repaired. Very professional service for my flat tire. I was very happy with their safety precautions and Jacob was friendly and very efficient.

I needed new tires and decided on Discount Tire due to having a long standing relationship with them in Houston TX. I ordered the tires online and had them mounted at the 28th Street location. All went well until I returned home and found that all 4 tires had numerous chips on the surfaces. These were both at the lug nut holes as well as random places on the wheels. I returned to the store and showed Jayson the damage. He took pictures and said he would talk to the manager about replacing the wheels through the store or having me make a claim with corporate. I asked if he had a record of the tech who worked on my car and he said they didn't keep those records. He said the store manager, Mr. Russo, would call me and tell me what they were going to do. I never got a call from him. I went to the store and once again talked with Jayson. He said the manager had approved replacing the wheels. The wheels were on order. Subsequently, I got a call from Jayson saying that the wheels had arrived and I should bring my vehicle in to have 'both' of them mounted. Apparently they were only prepared to replace two of the four damaged wheels which was never communicated to me. Jayson said 'well I have it on my paper here" to which I replied "a paper you never shared with me!" I said that I would have the two wheels replaced and then write a social media review. Jayson said "are you serious?" and then put me on hold to talk to the manager. He came back and gave me the number for corporate claims. I know my wheels were not damaged when I took them in to Discount because I had a wheel repair policy with my car dealership in Texas, from where I recently moved, and had recently wanted one chip on one wheel spoke to be repaired but the policy had lapsed. The amount of damage to my wheels is unbelievable and not something I would have expected from Discount based on my prior experiences. Unfortunately, I paid for the tire certificates and, if something happens to the tires, I'll have to go back to Discount. That being said, I'll never go back to the 28th Street location. The staff was very pleasant but it appears the techs have no regard for the property they are working on or are very poorly trained. I'll follow up after making a claim with their corporate office. Hopefully corporate will do the right thing. read more

Just got a new set of tires on my summer car, and couldn't be more pleased with the service I received at Discount. First took the wheel and tire that had gone flat on the way home to the Alpine store where they found a used tire to enable me to get the car home. Very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly guy, wish I could remember his name! Then I dropped the car off at this location, Brian was outstanding. Very friendly, ensured that everything went smoothly. And the new tires are great (Pirelli P Zeros, if you are interested). I've been a customer for 20 years or so, always got good service but this experience was exceptional! read more

After reading all of the rave reviews, I chose this Discount to take my car when I had two rear flat tires. I made an appointment a few days later because they didn't have an opening until then and I didn't have 3 hours to wait. I came back for my appointment and my car was taken back about forty minutes after the appointment time. After about an hour they let me know they patched my rear tires and I was all set free of charge. I was very pleased as I didn't want to pay for new tires. Not quite two weeks later, one of my rear tires was completely flat again. I called and made an appointment at 1:00 a few days later, as they were booked again. My car wasn't pulled back until after 2:00. At 2:35 they told me again I was free to go as they patched the tire. He said it was never patched the first time....?? Overall, timing could definitely be improved for appointments as people without appointments were being helped before people with appointments and it's not ideal to spend an hour and a half on something that was supposedly fixed the first time. Staff was friendly. Don't go there if you are in a rush. Advice: Drop your car off and wait for them to call you. read more

We called here because our normal tire place has a not been very helpful at working with us on a problematic Tire. One of our friends recommended us to check this place out, so we decided to call and give it a try. We are so glad we did! First, I called and spoke with Dave on the phone. He was so helpful and so eager to help us, it was a beautiful change from the place we normally go to! He even tried to fit ass in that very day. When we got there to drop off our van, Brian helped us. He was very good at explaining to me what was going on with our tire, and giving us different scenarios on how to fix our problem. He offered us even more services than our old place did for less money or for free. What service! We ended up leaving it for two days, because our paperwork got misplaced and wasn't worked on the next day, but we were okay with it because we have an extra vehicle to use. If we didn't have that, I probably would have been a little more hot around the collar. We ended up going with two new tires and we were given information about our rims and the other tires. But, we felt like we were making a very informed decision on what to do with our tires, rims, and our car. All in all, we were given great service, and we will be back. read more

I had a different place look at them and the 2 possible fixes cost more than Discount Tire charged me witch was the more expensive of the 2 ideas to fix my tires and still Discount Tire's price and speed was much better. Nothing against the other guys they are a small independent garage that is a neighborhood Auto Garage that dose great work and I will use them for other car repairs. One star for showing up and providing a necessary service like selling snow tires to me who knows nothing about snow tires. And putting them on the car. They get no further stars because every time I go in there they try to upsell me - why can't I just have "cheapskate" next to my name in their system and leave it at that. My real grudge is that last time I was there they flat out lied about my tire tread depth in an effort to sell me a whole new set of tires I don't need. I had one bald tire, great, thanks for telling me. When I asked them to write down the depths of the treads on the other tires so that I could go home and look at it myself, they wrote down a complete fabrication. No respect for a business that lies.
