He asked if I could wait while he had his Tech take a quick look. 10 minutes later, he came back in and got me to come take a look. I walked in thinking I'd just "browse" (aka pretend I knew what I was doing) and somehow left with the perfect car and my sanity still intact. That alone deserves five stars. Jerry didn't pressure me, talk over me, or try to sell me something ridiculous like a convertible in the middle of winter. Instead, he actually listened to what I wanted (a rare skill these days), answered all my weirdly specific questions, and even laughed at my terrible jokes. True professional. He walked me through the process like a friendly GPS--recalculating when I got distracted by shiny things, steering me away from bad decisions, and making sure I didn't crash into a bad financing plan. By the end, I almost invited him to Thanksgiving. (I didn't. But I thought about it.) The folks at the location on Blue Star are honest, informative and beyond professional. When you are in an accident it's tense and frustrating. Lisa at the front desk was amazing. She was personable and helpful in giving me all the details about the timing for the repairs, helping coordinate with the rental car company and keeping me informed. She eliminated any stress from the process and was beyond helpful. Preston, the adjuster was also sincere, helpful and informative. A part was lost on my bumper from a previous repair and I thought it was a warranty issue. He pointed out that someone had hit my car and showed me where the impact was. Not a great feeling, but I trusted his evaluation. Because they were going to have my car for a while. I asked them to take a look at the repairs that were done on my car at the Gerber location in IL; i noticed some potential issues. They found problems and made the necessary repairs all under the Gerber Warranty. While I hope not to have to return to Gerber anytime in the near (or distant future), I do know that when/if I have any other collision repairs this is the only place I'll go.
