I was referred to AutoBody Xperts to repair a door ding on my 2021 Honda Accord, and while the quality of the repair was excellent, the communication (or lack thereof) throughout the process was extremely frustrating. I'm a teacher with a very inflexible schedule, which I clearly communicated when scheduling my repair. I was told after-hours drop-off was fine, but on the morning of the appointment I was informed additional paperwork/signatures were required -- something that should have been handled ahead of time. My repair estimate appeared to state 5 hours for repair so I called at the end of the first day inquiring about the status of my vehicle, only to be told that it was 5 hours for BOTH body work and paint hours. Again, something not clearly communicated up front. The next day I spoke with management, who acknowledged the communication issues and promised updates on day 2 that never happened. When I inquired about a possible discount on day 3 for the repeated lack of communication, I was denied and told the car was still ready by the "promised date," though no promised date was ever communicated or documented. After finally receiving my vehicle back, I emailed the owner (Kelly) about my experience. He gave me a call, and while he admitted it was a "perfect storm" of issues, all he offered were more apologies and explanations. After about 30 minutes the conversation turned extremely argumentative and I decided it was time to hang up the phone when he sarcastically asked if I wanted him to personally pay my entire bill out of his own pocket. Kelly, when you read this, it was never about a specific dollar amount, but the gesture itself. A gesture that as a business says, we're sorry you had a bad experience, here's a little something to try and make up for it. You talked about learning lessons from this experience and I really hope that's one of them. Again, the repair itself looks phenomenal -- truly excellent work by the technicians. I've used them in the past and was very satisfied. However, I feel their customer service has declined significantly. The communication regarding timing of my job was inadequate. When I picked up my car the battery was dead. The billing has been a confusing mess...I have yet to get a Final Bill that is correct. I was very pleased with the work. I was given specific instructions from my insurance company since there is signs of total loss to get an itemized 3rd party invoice for repairs on my car. I was told by jody that's not how that works and I should just Let my car loan go into collections because it's too late. working with insurance myself every day; this interaction made me deter myself from ever considering this shop. worst customer service and body work in town. I dropped my van off for a warranty hood replacement and got the van back in way worse shape than i dropped it off after way longer time that they told me it would take. clumps in the paint and scratches in the "re-painted" hood. dropped it back off to be re worked and got it back once again worse than before. I now have a dent in the driver side fender and the inperfectoons that I complained about that was going to be corrected are still there. they claim it was re-sprayed but that is a total lie.FIND A DIFFERENT BODY SHOP read more

I found that some of poor reviews that this business has received are different than what I experienced. I dropped off my Ford F-150 for an insurance claim and was greeted by a very pleasant gentleman adjustor whom I remained in contact during the entire time my vehicle was being repaired. In addition to the good communication that I received from him, the staff at the front desk and everyone else I communicated with were all very respectful and helpful. So, I am a little surprised at such negative reviews. The quality of the workmanship seemed fine with me as I did not see anything that was done poorly. My only complaint would be the length of time that was needed to complete that task. I was given a rough time of 2 to 3 weeks that became 6 to 7 weeks. I was told that aluminum (which my F150 has quite a bit) is difficult to weld and takes a lot of time. Since I am not in the body shop business, I can't refute the reason. However, I would have thought that they would have known that in advance when giving me the initial length of time it was going to take. I would highly not recommend Autobody Xperts to anyone. Very poor customer service. I was told my truck would be ready for pick up; I arrive after hours to pick up my truck and I was unsatisfied with the quality of the work. I called the next morning and they did confirm with me over the phone that they had to do adjustments; as the bumper was not on correctly. I emailed them and asked if there were any accommodations they could do as I wasted my time and gas (2 hours round trip). The quick reply I received was "Unfortunately no, Have a great day!" This place is the worst! While waiting to be fixed my car was broken into. My car sat for 4 weeks before it was touched. When I was finally called to pick it up i found it with a cracked windshield. They avowed all responsibility for that. Had to file a separate claim to get that fixed. Do not use this place! read more

The Customer Service with AutoBody Experts has gone down hill. Absolutely no communication and they take way longer than they tell you! Dropped my car off after waiting for the parts, after they received the insurance check there was no contact. I had to call each time after day one to find out how long, then on day 7 after the max length of time promised. They still weren't done, on the 8th day at 4:30 they said it wasn't done. Each call I asked them to update me because I needed to work out rentals. No calls or emails. I even had initially sent a chat on their website - no response so even that doesn't work. Finally on the 8th day at 5:21 they said it could be picked up by 5:30 or the next day! I asked to talk to the Manager, Kelly and explained I have had to keep changing my rental and I didn't get any communications. He said "well guess you vented" but nothing happened or any offer for discounts or help. When I picked up the car there was a note on the seat about how much they care about customer service - don't believe it! That was the worst part of the process. I have had my car there for 7 days and I never received one phone call in regards to status if I would not have called on Friday after them having it for 5 days I would never have received anything from them. The lady who answered said it was getting painted and that she had no idea how long after that it would be ready so maybe Monday or Tuesday evening I called again today and she tells me it won't be ready until Tuesday afternoon before close seriously now I don't have transportation to go on spring break don't tell someone 5 days then keep it for 8. Mind you I had to wait 2 months for them to even get it in to be fixed in the first place. I would not recommend this place to anyone. You will just waste your time and money. I'm so angry I just hope the hood is fixed and painted correctly. read more

I thought this process was going to be really hard, but it was the easiest thing. Starting with the girls at the front desk, the knowledgeable estimators to the techs working on my vehicle. Trying to re-post my review since apparently it got taken down: Do not get any work done requiring paint here. They re-painted my bumper, which now has dirt and clumps trapped in the paint in several areas. I can't even polish the areas out myself because they put barely any paint on the car and any polishing will remove all the paint they put on. Whoever got in and out of my car scratched the threshold down to the metal with their boot in two different spots. They also damaged the paint on the bumper when putting it back on the car; it was scratched by the chrome trim during re-assembly. read more

HIGH PRICE, LOW QUALITY! These guys will say they are experts and they sure charge for it but the work they performed on my truck could have been accomplished by any no-talent want-to-be painter. And probably was. They returned my vehicle with areas still unrepaired, painted areas poorly blended (clear difference between original paint and new paint) and chips still unrepaired. They said they didn't notice those areas and then they said they were not allowed enough time to repair the vehicle. None of this is true. They had full knowledge of the damages and TOLD US how long it would take to repair. read more
