The first time we hired him we asked to cut the trees from the top. John took the time to advise us that what we asked for wouldn't yield the results we wanted and that we'd have have to hire someone to come out and trim the trees again earlier than necessary. We took his advice and John and his team achieved what we wanted and also beautifully shaped our trees. We were impressed that he priorities what we want and with what's best for the trees instead of what will fatten his wallet. This time was the same high level of service and we're very happy with our healthy trees and how beautiful they make our home. JD Service is our go to for all our tree needs.

I recommend A1 Tree Service Conservation highly. Not only was A1 one of the best prices, they were the nicest, most professional, and caring company of the bunch. Drew is the owner and main climber and he brings a great attitude and fantastic skills to his work. Karri manages the scheduling and details on the phone and she is a pleasure to work with. My biggest worry with many tree companies is they may often push for tree removal when it is not needed. I live in a forested area because I love trees. Drew is aligned with this and even changed their name, adding "Conservation" as they prefer saving trees over removal. A1 Tree Service Conservation gets this and is now my preferred company to maintain and keep my trees healthy and managed. If you are looking for any tree work, don't hesitate to reach out to A1.

I had eight trees removed from my property and my experience with Northwest Arboriculture was an excellent one. The entire crew of six were highly capable safety-minded individuals who showed up on time and were extremely organized and efficient in their methodology in removing the trees. They moved the cut trees safely to the wood chipper and cleaned up the property so no signs of debris was left. The team was very friendly, respectful and efficient at every stage of the process. From the initial call to the owner to schedule the bid, to the estimate visit from Matthew was a positive one that made me feel confident with my selection of this company. I think the pricing was extremely reasonable for the amount of time and effort to remove the large cottonwoods and maple trees from my yard. The six person team arrived in with their two large vehicles ready to work and get down to business. Their jobs are incredible dangerous and they made it look so graceful. They deserve my respect for what they do to safely remove the dangerous trees. I would recommend this family owned business for your tree removal needs. I will definitely have them work on my property again in the future.

Five stars, no question. I've lived in this house in Redmond for 25 years and have hired more tree…read morecompanies than I can count to manage the 30+ large trees on my property. Eastside Tree Works is, by a wide margin, the best of all of them. The experience started before they even did any work. The salesman who came out for the estimate showed up with an iPad, walked the entire property with me, took photos and video of each tree, tagged the ones we discussed, and had a detailed estimate ready before he left. He clearly knew what he was talking about and took real time to talk through what would work best for the trees and the house, not just push a generic package. When he found out I was a military veteran, he knocked a nice discount off the price without me even asking. The crew that came to do the work was just as impressive. A full team showed up with a large bucket lift and worked through limbing up several big Douglas firs, doing conifer cleaning, and taking down two medium-sized trees. They moved like a team that's worked together for years, communicated constantly, and checked in with me more than once while they were up in the trees to make sure they were limbing to the height I wanted rather than just guessing. When I mentioned my chainsaw had been giving me trouble, they took the time to fix it on the spot. What really sealed it was the cleanup. After 25 years of tree work at this house, I've never had a crew leave the property looking better than when they found it, but that's exactly what happened here. If you need tree work done in the Redmond/Eastside area, stop looking and call Eastside Tree Works. Professional, knowledgeable, fairly priced, and genuinely good people to have on your property. I would highly recommend them!

We opted to split the work between two companies who replied. Eastside Tree Works is one of the two companies; they were hired to crown-reduce/windsail/shape a flowering plum and a katsura tree. I waited to write the review to see how the trees recover and regrow. The quoting and initial process was very smooth and professional. Their response is fast for both the initial meet-up and providing the quote. Everything was done on their iPad, and quotes sent soon after. The task was also completed quickly. The task isn't significant, and they readily came and finished. The clean-up details are excellent. When done, I observed the flowering plum looked shapely but the katsura looked like a bad haircut. They agreed to come out and trim a stray branch that stuck out compared to the rest of the katsura crown. The katsura never regained a normal tree crown shape. It still looks like a bad haircut will a divot, v-shape at the top. See photo. The flowering plum is growing perfectly well this new spring season. Their cost is competitive.
