These people are so lazy that they show up to your place visibly angry that they have to work. They do the absolute bare minimum, nothing like the kind of proper pest control treatment of an apartment you would expect from supposed "professionals". I have had instances where they came to my place and left seconds after arriving when I left them unattended for a moment to go to the bathroom, just to avoid having to do any work. If they do actually spray or apply any pest control treatments, which you have to fight them to get them to do, because otherwise they will just walk into your place and say "looks good to me" and then leave, they will just blindly spray everywhere, including spraying toxic chemicals on clothes and furniture, unless you explicitly tell them not to do that. They are incredibly rude, I had to throw one of their people out of my apartment after he entered and began verbally harassing me and insulting the clothes that I had on. This is an absolute bottom shelf company, run and staffed by the most incompetent and lazy people I have ever encountered. If you are thinking of calling them, I would strongly advise you to call anyone else (ANYONE) or to considering doing it yourself, as they are not going to do anything anyways unless you fight them to do it. Their only goal is to come to your door so they can say that they came and collect their money, and then leave as fast as possible. I seriously doubt the authenticity of some of these other reviews, which are suspiciously enthusiastic and are all 5 stars, as the service that this cut rate company provides is no where close to 5 stars, or any stars. I would give negative stars if I could.

Their finding: no sign of bed bug presence. Their fee: $125. There may be something to a canine inspection, if they are well-trained, but if you get a report of bed bug presence, take a deep breath and get a second opinion. There seems to be an inherent conflict between a company doing only a canine inspection and then proceeding to exterminate. They likely should give a caveat that such inspections are not fool-proof and suggest you get an independependent analysis. Orkin is most professional and clearly their inspectors are well-trained. I don't get the same feeling about this establishment. Our home was in panic mode after the first inspection. That all ended when Orkin came out.

That was annoying, but what really got to me was that the same person has multiple websites with multiple business names, and multiple phone numbers, all of which lead to him - so I wasted my time researching websites and calling not just once, but three times to different numbers only to go through to the same unpleasant man who could not help me. Seems sketchy to me. So, to save others time, this is the same business as NYC K9 Services Packtite Rentals (www.nyck9services.com) and Cerebrus Environmental Services Packtite Rentals (www.newyorkbedbugremoval.com). On the third call, he tells me he's "the only person in town who rents Packtites" so I was out of luck. I can tell you he is NOT the only person who rents Packtites, and the person I ended up going with was pleasant, helpful, and was able to deliver to the Rockaways.

Don't Fear : Rich will be there!…read more My wife had developed a recurring painful and itchy series of welts with no known cause. It was her dermatologist who asked if we could have bed bugs?!? We were caught off guard: No way- Learning that you have Bed Bugs is gross and we were scared. We didn't know anyone who had been through this ordeal. We went online and found the this company. The web site design also made an impression: clean , neat and credible . Within minutes of my panicked phone call Rich call back and responded with: "It's going to be ok." If you're ( unfortunately) reading these reviews , you will appreciate how important these words are. I learned that being a New York Survivor of Bed Bugs is neither an exclusive nor a shameful club. The prep list given to us by our building's pest control company was very long and beyond daunting. There was no way in hell we could have done the prep on our own. Rich and his crew arrived the next morning and got to work. He walked us you through each step of the extermination prep and after- prep process. He was also available to our family throughout the weekend should we have questions or just felt freaked out and needed extra reassurance. His Team is a well oiled machine. They handled our home , including fragile pieces of art work, china, clothing , everything: carefully and with respect. They work fast. The price is fair given the services that they provide.

TLDR: Like many other reviews here, we did not end up using Rich's services because he told us we did not actually need them. We were being swindled by other bed bug services telling us we had an infestation, and Rich helped us realize we were bed bug free even though it meant losing our business. After noticing a few bites, we had a canine inspection from a provider of our building's choice. The inspection was positive, ruling that we had bed bugs. However, the inspection lasted less than 10 minutes and the canine handler didn't attempt any visual inspection of the areas that the dog alerted. We then reached out to Rich to help us prep for treatment. He insisted on an in-person assessment before accepting the job. When he visited our apartment, he visually inspected all areas where the canine had alerted. Since he did not see any visual evidence of bed bugs, he informed us that he was skeptical of any infestation and recommended that we get a second canine inspection before proceeding with treatment. He connected us with his trusted colleague John Downey at Pest Pro Inc. who arranged for Eric Miller to come do a second canine inspection. Eric and his canine came and performed an inspection lasting 40 minutes. Eric's dog never alerted after being taken around the entire apartment multiple times. Eric also performed a thorough visual inspection, completely taking apart our couch and bed to do so. Eric concluded that we absolutely did not have bed bugs and that my bites were likely from dust mites - a common and unconcerning thing in NYC that does not require extermination of any kind. Thank you Rich!!!!
