She said that the agent would let me know from the house, after he had done the inspection. What actually happened was that he called me 20 minutes before the inspection, demanding a payment of $125 for the inspection (paid by ZELLE, no way back). This had NOT been explained on the phone. It felt tantamount to extortion. I paid the fee, he came and did the 15 minute inspection and then gave a quote that was nearly double what they had charged 5 years before. I find the approach, unprofessional, misleading and dishonest. I did not engage their services.

I had an amazing experience today with One Hour Pest Control! Early this morning, I saw FOUR…read moreroaches in my apartment and complete chaos ensued-- I turned my entire room upside down as I chased one of the roaches with a flip-flop, I doused myself in citrus oil in order to fend them off, and I formed a protective circle around my bed out of Pine Sol-- I am absolutely terrified of roaches, so I was getting QUITE desperate. I called One Hour Pest Control at 8AM, and Mike promptly answered-- he was extremely helpful and accommodating, and said he would have a technician sent my way from 1PM-2PM the exact same day (managing to fit me in on a Sunday, no less). The exterminator, Frank, was awesome-- he was super professional and timely, showing up exactly at 1PM. He did a really thorough job, putting down several traps, applying gel inside all cabinets, and spraying literally every single crevice in the apartment (and he moved all of my things around too just to make sure he was getting the hard-to-reach spots, which I really appreciated because my apartment was a complete mess after the face-off with the roaches this morning). He also had a great attitude and brought a much-needed touch of humor to what was a fairly distressing situation for me, and he was so helpful in addressing all of my questions and concerns! I hope that the roaches will be gone, and that I hopefully won't *need* to call in an exterminator again anytime soon-- but if I do, I will DEFINITELY be contacting Mike and Frank for their services in the future! Could not recommend enough!

I spoke with a…read moregentleman named Frank, was quoted $350 for a mice situation in a small 1 bedroom apartment of a private house for initial inspection and treatment. " no guaranteed" when asked about warranty; " do you ask that question for everyone? not interested, do not call again" when asked if he was the owner of the business. I was confused how a question like that would upset someone to hang up on a prospect customer. Was it too weird and rude to ask? I would love to support our neighborhood small businesses. I called afterwards a different small company and was treated respectfully, had questions addressed patiently. We made an appointment for today and I have confidence in the service with their positive attitude. So make certain to ask smart questions if you decide to call One Hour Pest and hope it was just an isolated incident I had with Frank.

I originally hired another company (with good ratings) that ended up costing more, being less available, and provided less effective solutions. Before deciding on this company, I called two other local companies, both of which were expensive and were insisting upon a canine inspection. After reading other 5-star reviews for Northeastern Exterminating, I decided to give them a call, and I'm glad I did. I explained my issue to Joe, who worked to calm my nerves about this situation and thoroughly explained everything that would occur with his company's home inspection, to be performed by his son, James. I wanted an appointment ASAP, and although Joe could only offer me an appointment for several days later, he assured me that he would keep my number at the ready just in case they had a cancellation. The night before my inspection, I received a text message from James confirming the time he would arrive, the price that was agreed upon, and simple instructions for how to prep for the inspection. The next morning, I received another text about an hour before the scheduled time to pinpoint the exact time he would be arriving - which is insanely helpful and courteous. Upon arrival, right on time, James asked me about my situation and immediately got to work performing a thorough and comprehensive inspection of the three bedrooms in my house, from floor to ceiling. The bed, box springs, bed frames, baseboards, etc. everything was carefully inspected while he explained what he was doing, what he was looking for, and even what I could do in the future to put my mind at ease. He made sure to look at everything I asked him to, and could not have been more easygoing and professional. I cannot recommend this company highly enough. Prompt, affordable, knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating. On top of that, they are a family-run business, which is always a good thing. Give them a call and you will not be disappointed.
