One explained he was in college, and the other said he raced BMX bikes professionally. It quickly became apparent that they weren't experienced movers. It took them an hour just to take apart my king-size bed. The day before, a friend and I moved all 70 boxes ourselves in about five hours total, including loading and unloading. I hired the movers only for the large furniture: a king-size bed, two nightstands, a dresser, a bench, a 65-inch TV, a TV stand, a sofa, a coffee table, and an end table. Moving those items just four miles took them 6.75 hours, which is what I was billed for. After the first hour and a half, they had only taken apart the bed and moved the mattress downstairs. I asked why it was taking so long because it honestly felt like they were dragging their feet. Had I known they weren't actually firefighters, I never would have hired them. I chose this company because my neighbor had used them a few months earlier. I watched that move, and they were in and out very quickly. She also told me nothing was damaged, which gave me confidence in hiring them. Although I was frustrated with how long the move took, I still tipped them 10% using my credit card. I was then surprised to learn there was a 4% credit card processing fee. Since Square charges businesses 2.6% plus 10 cents per transaction, I felt that passing along a 4% fee was excessive, so I deducted that amount from the tip. They used Square to process my transaction. As a small business owner in Scottsdale, I understand the cost of processing credit cards. While I would not use this service again. I was also disappointed that the company's name implied the movers were firefighters when they were not. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company. I was charged two hours of travel time coming and going to my place when they were getting ready to leave I googled travel time back to surprise and it said 43 minutes I was billed for an hour when I said something he said that they were going past Surprise to the yard that they had to return the truck too. Response to the owners reply The bed has hex screws holding it together, so the only reason it would be difficult to take apart is if you didn't have the proper tools. The fact that you wish you could provide bulky, glistening calendar movers has absolutely nothing to do with anything I wrote in my review or with the efficiency of the movers. I want to be a billionaire, but that doesn't mean I'm going to become one. Likewise, using a name that gives people the impression they are supporting local firefighters is misleading. I see that you don't take constructive criticism well. I stand by my original review and was simply sharing my honest experience.

Instead of explaining policies clearly, they implied I was trying to "cut corners," suggested waivers for damage caused by their process, and generally spoke to me like I was an inconvenience rather than a paying customer. Experience in an industry doesn't give you a free pass to be rude. There are plenty of movers who can protect furniture and communicate respectfully. I'd recommend choosing one of them. I'm updating my review after the owner's public response, which contains several inaccuracies and omits important context. Unfortunately, that response further demonstrates the exact issue I experienced: dismissive, defensive, and unprofessional communication. For clarity, this was a potential move within the same apartment complex, from one building to another. I reached out with questions about logistics and whether a truck was required for such a short relocation. At no point did I ask the company to arrive "unprepared," skip protective equipment, or endanger my belongings. I asked clarifying questions -- that's it. I was repeatedly told "yes" regarding bringing a truck, but instead of a clear, professional explanation, the responses quickly became condescending and assumptive. My intent was repeatedly mischaracterized as trying to "cut corners," lower costs improperly, or force unsafe practices, none of which I stated or implied. Those assumptions were made about me, not based on anything I requested. The tone of the messages escalated unnecessarily. I was spoken to as though I was being unreasonable for asking questions, and the conversation included sarcasm and "lol" responses. Regardless of how common a business practice may be, professionalism still matters -- especially in customer-facing communication at the very beginning of an interaction. Because of that tone, I decided not to move forward with this company. The job never progressed beyond messaging because I no longer felt comfortable proceeding. That decision was mine, based on how I was treated -- not because the company declined the job. After I left my one-star review reflecting that experience, the situation escalated further. The owner repeatedly contacted me through messages and then called me directly, despite no service ever being rendered and despite the matter already being over. I was then accused of trying to harm the company, questioned for having few prior reviews, and personally insulted by having my "ignorance" referenced. That continued contact and personal commentary was inappropriate and crossed a clear boundary. To be very clear: * This review is not retaliation for being refused service. * Reviews are not limited to completed jobs -- they also reflect customer interactions and professionalism. * I am not responsible for a business's "livelihood"; I am responsible for sharing an honest account of my experience. A company can have years of experience and prior positive reviews and still mishandle a situation. This review reflects my experience from start to finish, including the communication before any job was booked and the behavior afterward. Unfortunately, the owner's public response and continued contact only reinforced my original concerns. I stand by this review. I have also left documentation below.

I had a move planned I originally hired them for but then I had problems with my lease where I then had to move back to my old address. Tim and his staff were very gracious in being able to help me twice in essentially the same week for both moves I had, going to and from the same locations. I appreciate him and his company for their help and I plan on reaching out if I ever end up having another domestic move here in the future! As a side note, he charges/quotes based on the furniture you have over hours of service. I found this to be cheaper than other companies out there (especially if you just have one room of furniture like I did) so he's really nice for smaller moves like mine and I recommend him as well because of this. He even helped my mom take an old TV stand to consignment for us which was very much an appreciated favor of his company with the original job and furniture that I had with him.

There was little to no organization to some of it at the end. We accomplished the unloading in just over 3 hours with 3 people who are used to the heat and 2 who were very definitely not. I appreciate all the work that they accomplished, non-stop in that short period of time and will be using them again in the near future, it turns out.
