This is a nice little shop with pretty gifts and flowers, but there is big problem with the customer service, as you can see in other reviews. I stopped into Jutta's a couple weeks ago, and the "Assistant" followed me around, hovering in an unfriendly and suspicious way that made it very uncomfortable to shop.
Then yesterday I stopped in briefly to look for a gift. I was in the little hallway, and I picked up a plastic, unbreakable LED tea light that cost $4.95. The little thing was slippery, and I inadvertently dropped it onto the carpet, no harm done. When I picked it up, the Assistant jumped from the back room and barked something at me, then continued to stand very close to me as I looked at how the light worked. He kept standing there until I asked if I was in his way. He said, "No," but stayed until I put the light down. He then reprimanded me for the way I picked up the light. (This was plastic, not fine China!) He was very aggressive and rude.
I stepped into the little side room to regain my composure, and the woman who I now know is the owner, Jutta, asked if I had any questions. At that point though, I was on my way out the door, my good holiday cheer blown by this interaction.
My question to Jutta is why she employs a guy who is so ill-suited to dealing with the public? I hope it's a good reason, because she's going to lose a lot of customers because of him.
I suggest hiring someone sweet and kind, to match the flowers and gifts in the shop, then I'll happily come shop again. Otherwise, no way. read more
