Here's why, I'm a massage therapist that works on athletics clients who are big and I can overwork myself which cryo helps me with my flare ups. When I dont have flare ups I go in for maintenance. Never fails that I get in a good mood after cryo I should add. Recently I've been doing the PULSE, omg I love how relax my mind & body feels plus it's helping heal a fall I had several wks ago. Sanctuary room is like a movie theater with all Nature going inside.. feels like I get lost in space or on an island. Giving three stars because the treatment was great. The customer service was nothing like I had expected. I was greeted with an exasperated "how can I help you?" I had made an appointment through Yelp and told her. She said nothing but handed me a clipboard with a release form. I handed it back and she then handed me a page with the scents. I chose one and then she told me to sit in a chair. I had put the tube on while I was seated per her instructions and then she told me to scoot the chair out...I know it sounds like I'm just bitching but it was really awkward and I didn't feel welcomed at all. My friend arrived and she got the same treatment but I told her to move the chair out FIRST. It was just not that pleasant and I won't be back to this location. read more

Walked in and it was extremely hot inside. There was an awful smelling candle burning that had something to do with black berrys or something of the like. Many smokers were in the building, so the mix of the cig smoke, the heat and awful candle was uncomfortable. A definite lack of circulation in the air. The floor was very dirty. And trash magazines all over. Nothing to read about oils or how the Cryo will help your body in the long run. Felt like there was absolutely no information given. I am in law-enforcement so I have to wear a 20 to 25 pound belt around my waist daily when I'm at work. I also train and compete in jujitsu regularly. The wear and tear from my job and my training causes me to have stiff neck back and body issues. Going to cryotherapy at Cryo-X definitely helps me recover faster and heal a lot easier. The staff there are wonderful. They're very friendly and they stay engaged in the conversations with you while you're in the cryo- chamber. The compression sleeves and sanctuary theater is awesome. This place is lovely. And the girls who work here are super friendly. This is one of the cheapest Cryo places in the DFW. And they have $10 Wednesdays. $99 unlimited whole body Cryo (including compression...I think) for the first month(check their Facebook page for this). The oxygen bar is $5 Monday-Friday 10am-1pm which I thought was fun. I don't know if it has any benefits, I have not read anything about it, what I did experience is extreme hunger after 20 mins of flavored oxygen sniffing. Oxygen is known to help in metabolism of food so I think that's a good sign. Idk how much of the O2 were spent in digesting my breakfast, I'd rather it went up my brain and made me 5 points smarter, oh well. Side note, try avoiding their room number 2 if possible (my reason for 4 stars) because it focuses on the lower part of the body, freezing your legs to death while you may not feel much on your torso. I have been twice now and have had a great experience both times. On my most recent visit not only did I freeze, but I did the compression and Oxygen therapies, as well. I must admit, I felt like I was walking on a cloud as I left. I lift weights 4-5 days a week and don't recover as quickly as I used to. Like Mick Jagger said, "what a drag it is getting old." I can already tell that I'll soon become a regular so I can get the most out of my workouts! The Ladies that run the store are friendly, courteous, and professional. They were even able to fit me into the schedule when I had erroneously made my appointment for the following day, instead of the day I came in. The store itself is clean and comfortable. As mentioned in previous reviews, the fact that they chat with you while you're freezing is HUGE! The three minutes go by quickly and you never think about just how cold it is. This place is awesome and strange. People swear by it. After going once to check it out, I can't say that it was life changing but it is definitely unique. Basically you get into a chamber with your head out of the chamber, and they kind of freeze your body for 2.5 to 3 minutes. It is a really odd feeling that I can't really describe but it basically makes your body freak out and it is supposedly really good for you. It is my understanding that a bunch of professional athletes use it and it seems like they use it as kind of a quick and complete body ice bath. They also say that your body even at rest will burn a ridiculous amount of calories over the 4 to 8 hours after you do it which was a nice added bonus. Overall, I thought it was cool and will go back. I am not sure I am a regular but it is unique and seems like it might be worthwhile especially if recovering from an injury of some sort. read more

I came in with lower back pain that had me hurting so bad I left work. The ladies at the front desk were so nice and welcoming. My session was 3 minutes long and one of the associates was in there with me the whole time and the conversation was a very nice distraction. She explained the whole process to me and even gave me a tour and overview of the other amenities they have after my Cryo session. I have been going to Cryo-X regularly for about a year and a half and would not willingly give it up. Between my workouts and running, I'm pretty hard on my body and this really improves my recovery time. I definitely feel it when I miss a day. It's not unusual to see professional athletes in there during their off seasons, the benefits are similar to an ice bath but much easier to handle. The staff is very customer service oriented, informative and friendly. I always come out feeling better then when I went in and there is usually a lot of laughter involved. So, I went to this place planning to try them out for a Cryo treatment since it is convenient for me when I work over in Grapevine seeing clients. I have been to several excellent Cryo facilities and love this procedure but this place is not for me. First of all, it is kind of junky looking inside, not very personable and kind of underwhelming. There were clothes baskets around the receptionist area filled with old and tattered looking gloves to keep your hands warm during the treatment and also a basket full of socks that I would NEVER put on. It was not at all like the other facilities in Colleyville and Southlake, very disappointing. There were huge tanks in the hall area, it was just not what you would expect. Be forewarned and consider another Cryo facility that presents a lot nicer and is cleaner to say the least. Finally, I learned their pricing for Cryo packages are higher than other much nicer centers in our area. read more

I love CryoX. I had suffered my entire life with a crazy skin condition that I have NEVER been able to get rid of. Doctors couldn't figure out what it was or how to treat it. I love Cryo-X!!! It is the coolest place to freeze. The prices are extremely reasonable and the employees make freezing fun. I also like how the have two different types of cryo saunas, room 2 is my favorite, but room one is a little colder. When you walk in there are 2 chairs to the left for compression. The whole place is a beautiful aqua blue. There is a comfy waiting couch (plenty of seating) and water. They have 3 rooms for deep-freezing tanks, room 1 gets the coldest and is the best in my opinion. So any use of ice or very cold materials to treat something technically qualifies as cryotherapy. The application of ice or cold packs to injuries to cause blood vessels to constrict, which reduces blood flow and alleviates pain, swelling and inflammation. Cryotherapy is used to treat a variety of benign and malignant tissue damage, medically called lesions. If you suffer from arthritis cry can help. Its really cold but so fast! After a month of treatments - I have probably frozen 15 times - here is my update. I got the results of the MRI back and it is, in fact, a torn rotator cuff.
