Dr. Walker is good but the process to get in is more than painful and has caused me to look elsewhere. Communication is lacking and the wait times are less than ideal. My last three visits resulted in me canceling my appointment. I stopped by today, waited 45 minutes in the lobby (beyond my scheduled time) and still hadn't been seen. The time prior was a scheduled surgical procedure, I waited 1 hr. in the lobby, another 45 minutes in the patient room before leaving frustrated, to only be asked to "find a more convenient time when they are not as busy". The trip prior was another 45 minute wait in the lobby. I waited in the patient room for another 20, the discussion lasted less than 10 minutes and I was asked to schedule the surgical appointment. I don't mind the occasional wait, but this is ridiculous. No follow up calls to apologize, no concerns on keeping customers. It's just bad customer service in what could be a great practice. read more

Their back office told me a procedure would be covered and several months later, after I had the procedure done, they contacted me and told me I owed $1,500! It gets worse...the "bill" got turned over to collection! I haven had a collection since I was probably 20 years old if then. Very disappointing -Been seeing this Dermatologist for many years and I set up an appointment three months in advance. Then I was called by dermatology Associates to reschedule because the practitioner was not available the day scheduled. For the next appointment, I took time off from work & drove halfway across town in heavy traffic. I was only 15 minutes late for the appointment (should have called) and the practitioner had already gone home. I can't tell you how many times I waited 10, 15, 20 minutes in the waiting room, then sit in her office and wait even more. where was my courtesy call before she left?? read more

I love to leave a good review, but unfortunately, I have to agree with the other negative reviews about this place. The first time I went, I remember leaving feeling like the PA did not care about me or my concerns. Her responses felt pretty flippant. I walked away telling myself that it must just be me misreading it and I left it at that. I went back a year later and realized that my feelings were completely valid as I experienced the exact same thing again. I decided to start going to a different doctor in Southlake and boy, could I tell a difference in the level of care. It was very validating. Both my wife and I have seen several doctors in this office. All experiences have been good. Dr. Harla and now Dr. Walker. But.... The BILLING and account paperwork is why I will NEVER go to a U.S. Dermatology Partner physician again. This is a huge company that grew way to fast by purchasing regional dermatology clinics all over. They take at least 2 months to clear an account and you have to make many calls to their billing department to get what you need to back up insurance claims. It is way to much of a hassle. I can't imagine the trouble if you had multiple or regular visits. read more

Ughh! I really wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt despite the reviews on Yelp. I found this clinic on Google and they had some many great reviews. I have had a skin condition since I was a little kid and for the most part, I have had it under control. I don't know if it's due to the stress that I've been experiencing the past few months, but my skin broke out and I was desperate for something to help me feel better. First, the doctor asked me why my skin looked the way it did. Umm, you're the doctor, you tell me. Then, he basically tells me that I've been doing everything right so he's just going to prescribe me a $3 steroid. My visit was less than 10 minutes and nothing was really done and it cost me $120! I like this doctor office. They are good about reminding you at least 1-2 days before your appointment. They have Krueger coffee if you want it while you wait. All nurses and doctors I've met have great bedside manners which you can't say about all offices. The doctor I've seen are great about explaining everything and what to expect and follow up after they get results back. read more

Melanoma survivor here! Been coming here for about a year now and I liked my doctor but the staff and billing are horrendous! I had an appointment that they have been reminding me of for the past two days via text and email. I like the reminders but....... I show up and signs in..... the lady says super loud that I have bad debt. I said ok no big deal I'll pay! How much? She says several hundred. Wow I don't recall getting a bill for that. Didn't insurance take care of it..... she says she doesn't know but she said it was for a visit in October of last year. Last year! I said wait.... I have been in since then, 5 months ago, and nobody said a word about it and I haven't gotten a bill. The woman calls billing and yells a few more times "hey! I have a really bad debt here.. yea she has a bad debt!" At think point I'm thinking the front desk just has no manners... Billing is worse! Billing says I can't see doc until I pay my bill. I asked why nobody called me yesterday to let me know instead of letting me drive over to tell me I can't see the doctor. Billing says I have no idea and it's not my job. Ok. I heard enough. Received a bill from a collection agency today for a visit in April 2017. I called the office asking why I have never received a bill or notice before this went to collections. I was told they have been sending me notices of this bill since February. Really?? How is that possible when the appointment was in April? It's bad enough to deal with greedy insurance companies who lie but when the people you're supposed to trust with your medical care do it, it leaves no room for trust. The billing department is incompetent and when I spoke to Ladorris from that department she was very rude and even told me I should contact my insurance company to find out about the bills this office should have sent out. Terrible experience. First, I went to this Dr because they accepted my insurance, yet 2 weeks later I get a bill for over $300. They spent a total of 10 minutes with me. Second, they prescribed a medication that cost over $500. After doing more research, the drug is being pulled by the FDA due to safety issues. There are multiple safer and cheaper alternatives. Dr. Harla is basically a criminal. He prescribed a $600 cream for a cold sore on my lip instead of a simple oral anti viral medication. When I called to complain about the cost the office sent the prescription to a compounding pharmacy in BFE Grapevine instead of issuing a more reasonable and widely used prescription. The waiting room was packed and people were churned in and out. His appointment scheduling slots were available in 10 minute increments suggesting he wants to bill as many patients as possible in a day. Dr. Harris was extremely personal and accommodating! I was very satisfied with my brief visit. He listened to all my complaints and gave me suggestions and offered me solutions. My only gripe about this office is that they don't yet(or at least at the time of my initial visit they didn't) offer any Botox or laser treatments and honestly I moved from California where every dermatologist office has every contraption known to man to offer patients. I know he told me and he was going to get them eventually so that's good enough for me. I also should mention the front desk staff and his nurse were all so nice and helpful. I went here for a working interview for $14 a hour for a whole day everyone was nice, told me I would get the job since she has been by herself since October 2019. They told me I was over qualified for the position. I had to call multiple times and email to the recruiter Tanner. he refused to get back to me. When I told him I've been trying to get ahold of him for two weeks he laughed and said oh. To where I had to call someone else and tell them he won't get back to me. Was super excited about this job then I call today to see status and he said oh we picked someone already it's been almost three weeks. And still haven't even got paid for working that whole day. I had high hopes for my first visit and I understand there are other doctors at this location but Dr. Walker should really re-think his career choice. He seldom made eye contact with me during our brief conversation and seemed to nervously shuffle around the room as I explained my symptoms. He dismissed my concerns without the slightest empathy, was pointedly unfriendly (at times unprofessional), and sincerely apathetic. This is the best office ever. I am so terrified of needles. I had to have a massive cancer cut out of my chest. Everyone told me how bad it hurts. I came into my appointment and they got me right back. I immediatley started crying because I was so scared. Belinda the Nurse came in a calmed me down. I am 55 but still a big baby. She deaded it and it was just a few pricks. Then Dr. Walker came in amazing bedside manner explained everything and started cutting it out. I felt nothing. It was so amazing. I see a branch of Dr Harla's office in Keller TX on Heritage Trace in the subdivision Heritage. There, the Dr is Dr Michael Honadel and he is great. The appointments are right on schedule. You never have to wait. If anything, be there early because they may take you back early. But don't be late because you may not get in. Dr Honadel is great...super nice guy, very compassionate. I am pretty young to be diagnosed with skin cancer, but he found it, biopsied it and removed it for me. I'm very grateful to this office and their staff that have been nothing but warm, wonderful and great to work with during my many recent office visits. I never went to the Grapevine office, but I highly recommend the Keller office. Please....go get a spot check...it could save your life. read more

This was my first visit to Dr Harla's office in Grapevine and I didn't actually see Dr Harla (a 3 week wait for him). I did get an appoint for the same week I called, with Dr Harlas' PA. I had an early morning appointment and arrived early. I saw the other reviews about it being crowded, but I didn't see that. I was in the examining room on time and seeing the PA about 5 or 10 minutes later. She was nice, thorough and professional, treating the original complaints and digging deeper to make sure we both knew the extent of the sun damage and arriving at a treatment plan for that. I highly recommend them and will continue to see them for my dermatologic needs. read more

Very sloppy practice (Heritage Trace location). Front desk staff too casual and very unprofessional. Although I have seen several good P.A..'s for a skin cancer screening over the years, the lack of follow-up for a prescription refill has been INEXCUSIBLE!!!!! It has been WEEKS since my appointment in May, and 2 phone calls later I have yet to be contacted by their staff. Today, "the computers are down". Pros: Seems to be a quality doctor that knows what he's doing, and does it well. Cons: An enormous waiting room that's full. (If you've ever seen an allergist's office, with patients that are waiting to be examined after getting their weekly allergy injections, you've got the idea.) The visit was very quick. I didn't have to wait long to be seen and nurse was very nice. The only down side was that I wanted a whole body skin check and the PA just quickly glanced over me and said I was good. It didn't feel very thorough at all. Also, when I was telling her some concerns I had she didn't seem to be listening to me. It's been 3 days since my visit and I have followed the regime she gave me. I am a former patient of Dr. Harla's office and I'm glad to say that I've moved on. To be fair the Dr. Harla does a great job hiring his Physician Assistants. Over the years I had seen three of them and they are all great. On the down side their office management is horrible. 9/10 times you can't talk to a person to get paperwork for tests, scheduling, etc. In addition to this, it normally takes two calls to get them to help you. It got to the point where I had to go to the office to get anything done. They recently changed their office policy's on some testing and needless to say I didn't agree with the amount of tests they required for my condition. Health care is getting expensive and I didn't like the fact that I had to take three different tests to prove I didn't have a medical condition generally not found in the US. They are entitled to having their office policy's, but they should be for flexible with their patients when changing them. At the end of the day I'm happy I've moved on. read more
