I've been going to this dermatology clinic for several years now. My whole family (as well as my…read moreboyfriend and his family) go here as well. I know quite a few people who trust these dermatologists, their methods, their diagnoses, and their treatments. And we all have different skin types, too. It can take a little while to get an appointment here if you're a brand new patient, but nothing crazy long. I've called doctors (in other fields for other reasons) as a new patient, and have been told things like "we can see you in 6 months." For real!? I could be dead by then! I understand 4 weeks or so, but half a year? Anyway, Mid Cities Dermatology can most likely get you in for an appointment in a decent amount of time. They're extremely friendly and patient as well. As a current patient of this clinic, I visit Dr. Miller about 1-2 times a year. I'm lucky enough to have mostly clear skin, but I'm super fair-skinned and have to get checked regularly to make sure all moles are skin cancer and pre-skin cancer free. I've had more than one procedure to keep my skin as healthy as possible, and this staff (receptionists, nurses, Dr. Miller) has always made me feel extremely comfortable, confident, and reassured. Make sure to always take care of your self... this includes your skin! And wear sunscreen! I definitely recommend Mid Cities Dermatology Clinic for all of your skin-health-care needs.

Do not recommend, it's not worth the wait and like I said the staff upfront is not friendly or helpful at all!!! Horrible customer service, it's like they are doing it for free!!!

Dr. Miller has been my dermatologist for like... at least 12 years! Damn. (I just had a birthday so…read moreI'm momentarily obsessed with my fear of aging). Anyway, Dr. Miller is great! I used to see him regularly but got kind of lazy over the last 3-4 years (which isn't wise when your skin is fair as snow and you've got a history of abnormal skin cells, woo!!). Anyway, if you're a new patient or you haven't visited in 2 years or less, it takes about 6 weeks to get in for an appointment. Soooo I waited 6 weeks and finally went in for a basic check-up. They quickly updated my insurance information when I arrived, I filled out a bunch of new forms (but they're super quick), and I was soon called back by the nurse. I didn't have to sit and wait long at all, which is so nice and rare for a doctor's office. The nurse asked me routine questions and then Dr. Miller checked out my skin and told me all was well. He's funny and personable and direct. The whole visit only took about 20 minutes. Easy easy, and I'll go back in 6 months to make sure I'm still all good to go. Wear sunscreen, people! I like the convenient location of this office at heb medical center, that you can update your info online through their patient portal, that the office is simple and clean, and that you get in and out quickly.

I ended up with Caitlin Colosky, she is the PA there. I will definitely say, I have been to 3-4 different dermatologist, because I move often for work, and I will say she is one of the best. She is personable, genuine, and you can tell she definitely cares about her patients. The reason why I am doing this review is, I had a last minute change of plans and I had to go for a follow up, and they fit me in last minute today, when they close at noon on Fridays. She and her nurse remembered me very well and were both personable, caring, and made me feel more at ease with everything going on in my life and my skin. They definitely make you feel comfortable and safe in their office. I did get the chance to meet John David Miller, and he seemed so nice and made me laugh in the short 5 minute talk we had. I definitely refer the clinic to anyone looking for an amazing experience even if you are on edge of talking about what's happening with your skin.
