Ok this place is really more about carryout than ambience. It is just about a literal hole in the wall where foods that sound like pork or beef are really turkey. There was a flat screen tv on with an all black movie or tv show. I am not certain if this is a black-owned business, but it is part of a franchise in Bronzeville. It is good to see a place that makes 'soul food' more healthy. I like the sign that reads 'No Pork touches the grill'. I first tried it via delivery at Turnerhaus/Sip and Savor on 47th, but this time I did carryout. We were told delivery was unavailable. The person at the counter was civil and fine, it was a Friday early evening. I got the daily special of 2 turkey polish sausages with fries. There are chairs, a couple of tables, and vending machine for sodas/pops. At home I heated the food in the oven, and it was quite good, very similar to the 'real thing'. This place used to be good and now it's just trash like seriously. 9/10 times the place don't even smell like food. I came here because I was really craving an Italian turkey. I get there and they tell me that they don't sell the sausage with it like they used to...anyway I got it without the sausage and just the turkey meat on the French bread. When I opened it up it looked disgusting the meat was not even shredded how it should've been, it looked grey and not flavorful but still I tasted it, and it tasted how it looked..horrible. There was absolutely no seasoning. Seriously you better off going to Pete's and buying the meat yourself and just making it. Extremely Disappointing Experience This was my first and unfortunately my last time visiting Just Turkey. The location is marked as permanently closed on Maps, and the hours listed online are inaccurate, which already caused confusion before I even arrived. When I walked in to place my order, I was told the wait time would be about 10 minutes. Instead, I waited over 20 minutes, only to be informed that there were still four orders ahead of mine--even though I had placed my order before several of the customers who came in after me. My order wasn't large or complicated; it was a simple, single-meal order with no special instructions. While the food smelled great--and I certainly left smelling like it--I never actually had the chance to taste anything. After waiting 25 minutes with no progress, I ultimately asked for a refund. This experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this establishment based on my visit. read more

I had a holiday party to attend and I brought a large pan of Turkey tips from Just Turkey. The turkey tips were tender, juicy and you could taste the smoke in the meat. The sauce was robust with just the right amount of spice. Throughout the night people were stopping and inquiring about where did I buy the tips because they were crave able. Just Turkey is all things Turkey. They make turkey burgers, chops, tacos, lasagna, salads, wraps, jerk turkey and more. One of my favorites is the turkey spaghetti. You can order for one or two people or cater for a party and the prices are reasonable. I ordered a large pan of turkey tips for $130.00 they said it feeds 20 - 25 people but it easily fed about 40 people. read more

Wow, Unbelievable. I order turkey tips and a salad. Let me start off by saying follow your first MIND...when I saw the cooks I should had turn around. Smh, I spend $27.55 and the food was NASTY and old, tips was tough, salad had pickles in it (not American), same old tough turkey tips, and the salad had old lettuce. How do you mess up a salad? I was itching for a turkey burger, since I'm trying to watch my figure and said let's try Just Turkey. Babe got turkey ribs and hotlink dinner and I decided to take it easy and enjoy the chipotle turkey burger. Oh was I in for a treat. It was JUICY and delicious. The sauce was perfect. A Coworker and I both had a taste for barbecue. With me not eating pork a lot of times that is not an easy thing for me to do. But Just turkey has all turkey products and I was in heaven. This was one of those days that our eyes were bigger than our stomachs and we ordered everything. We ordered through Uber Eats and everything arrived on time and nothing was missing. We ordered the Seasoned Turkey Polish with Fries, Turkey Tips with Fries, Turkey Spaghetti, and the Turkey Nachos. The Turkey Tips were tender and seasoned right. The Seasoned Turkey Polish was something that I had never heard of but it was everything I needed and I need another one. The Turkey Spaghetti was okay not my favorite. The Turkey Nachos were something that we should have done without because of how it had to travel the chips were soggy when they arrived. No fault of Just Turkey but its something that needs to be eaten right away and not delivered. This has slowly become on of my favorite spots and I will be ordering again. read more

I just ordered lunch with my coworkers from this Just Turkey location and had the food delivered through UberEats. Worst lunch experience ever! The jerk turkey burger was dry and not good, they forgot the turkey lasagna and the turkey tips were dry too (had absolutely no sauce and sauce was requested). My coworker called to let them know about the mistakes and they constantly put us on hold and argued about the missing lasagna. They have terrible customer service and bad food. I will not be ordering anything for this location again. Update: I went in the establishment and the manager or owner (a shorter bald man) thought it was ok to tell me he didn't need my business. I went on a Thursday where they hold specials during the week and if you buy a large turkey tip you get small half off. After two previous orders over the past few months that were never delivered at all, I thought I'd try to support this black-owned business one last time. I used to patronize Just Turkey for lunch or dinner almost every week when I had an office in the neighborhood a few years ago, so today I had a sudden craving, and acted on it. Thinking that things would be different if I ordered in advance before they even opened, I placed an order via GrubHub's pre-order option. And again, I know what size their portions are since I used to physically drive down to the Southside to eat here weekly. The order was initially promised to be delivered by 5:45 p.m. Within a few moments of them opening, I receive a text message that says it'll be more like 5:55, then another message saying 6:10, then 6:15 and then finally 6:25. At 6:30--or 45 minutes late, the order arrives and is dropped off by the driver per social distancing rules. The banana pudding dessert was missing, and I found out via e-mail later that it had been just removed and credited back to me. Seems like they would have just called me to let me know, and see if I wanted to substitute with something else. But no. In addition, my order of large jerk tips was missing, my order of a large turkey tips was missing and my two soft drinks were missing as well. All I received was one small piece of corn -- which was about an inch-and-a-half in length -- and one small order of turkey tips. Note that I did not order anything small. Even the small turkey tips was deceiving because the preparer filled the container with a layer of french fries on the bottom, and then put a few pieces of meat on top of the fries so it would appear to the customer that he/she was getting more turkey than was actually there. I've never once seen them do that in the years that I've eaten here. It makes no sense that a restaurant would not have enough food to fulfill an order that was placed and paid in full before they opened, but I digress. I phoned the restaurant to find out what had happened to the rest of my order. They claimed that the GH delivery driver had probably "made off with" most of my food, and that they were sorry but the occurrence is not unusual. Sadly, this is true, which I know firsthand. No offer whatsoever to make good on the money received. I next texted the driver and he was adamant that he does not steal, and implored me to believe him and not report it. Yeah, okay. read more

Food is great. Every time I order something from here though something goes wrong. Three times now yelp has had to cancel my order because they didn't make the food, gave it to the wrong driver, etc. When it does come I'm always missing something. Jerk sauce that comes with the jerk tacos? Foget it. Au Jus on the side? Nope. This happens even when I do a carryout order.
