    Best beef ribs in Chicago

Visited location yesterday. Everyone is so professional and nice. I ordered my food. Got to the car and my whole car smelled so good. I open the container and the presentation was BEAUTIFUL (slab Beef ribs, fries, greens, heavy mixed sauce on). I went to taste the rib and the meat melted away from the bone. The best beef ribs on the city. They give you a whole plate full. The meat was perfectly cooked. The ribs are so meaty and tender and full of flavor. I don't know how they make them this tender without being fatty. They are tender and meaty Without all the fat. Everything was hot and fresh and delicious. I wish I could Give them 10 stars instead of 5. OUTSTANDING FROM BEGINNING TO END. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. EXCEEDED ALL MY EXPECTATIONS. The restaurant is clean, bright, smells so good and the staff is friendly and nice. Can't wait to go back.

I ordered for the first time on Saturday January 24, 2026. I had the small turkey tips, baked beans, collard greens. My friend had the smoked brisket burnt tips. All was pretty tasty! I pray that it's consistent when I order again!

Dry party wings, hot link, dry mac n cheese (i didn't order it) greens tasted tangy like they were old. Nothing had seasoning

Food was tasteless. I spent $40 for crap. It was barely warm. Food was leftover, not fresh. They gave me mac n cheese that I didn't order, I ordered coleslaw. I don't eat cheese and it was dry. I had to used my own sauce because I think they gave me 1 teaspoon of sauce. Hot link was good. I picked my order up at EXACT pickup time so it should've been warm. Brisket was fair but no smoked flavor. I will not go back

2 Meat Combo - Delivery Ribs, brisket, Collard Greens, and candied yams

I was home Saturday evening with no meat thawed out and no desire to cook. I found myself looking for something to order and add to some leftover Mac and cheese. Ordering from restaurants through DoorDash or Uber eats can be a bit annoying, so I went to their website to scope it out first and as soon as I saw "what sets up apart, no pork!" I was sold! I don't eat pork and I LOVE beef ribs, but I don't find them in restaurants often, so I was excited! Meat was tender, seasoned, and the sauce is great! Loved the sides, did a lil happy dance getting that perfect mix of everything on my fork. I literally took this picture to send to my grandma down south (my meal request when I visit home is always oxtail or beef ribs lol)! Anyways clearly I enjoyed my food leaving a review while eating, I just wish I ordered more sauce for my leftovers today lol. Definitely will be ordering again, but I gotta get in the car and pick it up so I can look the cook directly in the eyes when I say I love you! Add it to your list friend, it's worth it.

I was in the area and had been wanting to try this place out for a while. I was looking forward to smoked beef cheeks because you rarely see those on menus and from all accounts they are a true delicacy. Unfortunately they weren't serving them the day I came in. This is strictly a takeout spot at least in the colder months. You order from a window and wait for your food. According to videos I've seen, I know they have a backyard space that's open in the warmer months. In terms of food I ordered the three meat combo with brisket, beef ribs, and smoked wings. It came with a cornbread muffin and two sides. I ordered collards and Mac and cheese. The brisket had a pronounced peppery flavor. The beef ribs were a little tough. The wings were fantastic. Overall this place is serviceable if you're looking for bbq. I'd come back to try their beef cheeks and attend their fish fry events in the summer.

This is the 2nd 5 star review I've ever given. I started by only eating the burgers here. That was because they had me in a chokehold. They are great!!!! Today I ventured out and tried the beef rib and the brisket. I don't even like brisket. But not I know apparently I've never had it prepared correctly. I have zero complaints about this place. Service is good and

This place was so good that I came back the very next evening for dinner again…read more On my first visit, I ordered the pulled pork with mac and cheese, cornbread, and sweet tea. Every single part of the meal was outstanding. The pulled pork was delicious on its own, but I also loved the sweet barbecue sauce. The cornbread was, without exaggeration, the best I've ever had!! It was moist, flavorful, and served with absolutely incredible butter. The mac and cheese was rich, creamy, and one of the best I've ever had as well. Even the sweet tea was perfect: actually sweet without being overpowering or having that bitter, earthy aftertaste that some sweet teas have. I couldn't stop thinking about it, so I came back the next night and tried the brisket. It was sooooo good too. It was tender, smoky, juicy, and packed with flavor. At that point I knew the first meal wasn't a fluke. It's not inexpensive, but the portions are generous, and I felt the quality more than justified the price. I was there by myself because I'm traveling for work and actually enjoyed the communal tables. They made the atmosphere feel welcoming and a little less lonely than sitting by myself. The staff was excellent, too. The gentleman with the glasses at the meat counter was friendly, funny, and made the experience even more enjoyable. He even threw in a complimentary rib, which was such a nice surprise and a great example of the hospitality here. One thing to know before you go: the line can get long, but don't let that scare you away, it moves efficiently, and the food is absolutely worth the wait. Green Street Smoked Meats lived up to every bit of the hype. Between two visits, I tried the pulled pork, brisket, mac and cheese, cornbread, sweet tea, and a rib, and every single thing was excellent. This will be one of my first stops the next time I'm in Chicago.

Got 1/2 lb brisket, 1/2 lb pork ribs, 1/2 lb pulled pork, broccoli salad, elote style corn, and baked beans for $87 + tip. The Prime Sliced Brisket (7/10) was super tender and practically fell apart, but I wished the bark had a harder crust and a bit more flavor. The Pork Ribs (6.5/10) were somewhere between tender and chewy, so I'd probably skip them. The Pulled Pork (6.5/10) was slightly sweet but tasted pretty standard. All of the meats could've used a little more seasoning, and I wish they came out hotter. The spicy BBQ sauce and golden sauce were both delicious though. The Elote Style Corn (8/10) was my favorite side. Super creamy with plenty of parmesan. The Broccoli Salad (7/10) had great crunch from the pumpkin seeds and sweetness from the raisins, though I wish the seeds were toasted. The Baked Beans (6.5/10) had pork belly and onions mixed in, but otherwise tasted like a solid, classic baked bean. The vibes felt like a true Texas BBQ joint. You line up, order at the counter, watch them slice the meat in front of you, then grab a table cafeteria-style. The industrial space and dim lighting fit the atmosphere well. 7/10. Service was great. The guy slicing the meat asked how my day was, and staff were constantly walking around clearing tables. 8/10.

It's the perfect spot for a large group, a fantasy football draft, game day, or any sports-watching event. The television screens are massive--there's virtually no chance of missing a play. Our server was fantastic. Friendly, relaxed, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable. I also loved that she had a little robot assistant helping deliver food. It struck the perfect balance between technology and hospitality without losing the human touch. She guided us through both the menu and bar selections, and from there everything just kept getting better. The first thing we tried was the Soul Roll, and wow. Imagine all your favorite comfort foods wrapped inside an egg roll and fried to perfection. Brisket, mac and cheese, greens, and yams--all bundled together and served with a sweet yam syrup dipping sauce. It sounds outrageous because it is... in the best possible way. The ribs were tender and practically fell off the bone. The links brought just the right amount of spice. The fried chicken was crispy, juicy, and delicious. The greens and yams were flavorful, and the baked beans? Absolutely magical. As for the bar, it was a mixed experience. I ordered a lemon drop and was told they don't sugar the rim because it creates a mess on the floor. Personally, a lemon drop without a sugar rim feels a little incomplete. However, the bartender did earn some points back by serving it in a highball glass instead of one of their smaller martini glasses, explaining that we'd actually get more of the cocktail that way. Fair enough--I can appreciate that kind of honesty. If you're visiting Chicago and looking for great BBQ, put Wilma's on your list. Come hungry.

My party of four visited for Sunday brunch, and the restaurant was basically empty when we arrived. The escalator also wasn't working, which wasn't the best first impression. We ordered fried wings, rib tips, and drinks, but our food didn't come out together. For a table of four, it's disappointing when everyone isn't served at the same time. The biggest disappointment was the lemon drop martinis. After one sip, they were far too tart and overly citrusy for our taste. The glasses were still nearly full, so we politely asked if they could be remade or exchanged for a different cocktail. We were told that all alcohol sales are final. While I understand restaurants have policies, I was surprised there wasn't any willingness to accommodate us, especially since we had barely touched the drinks and simply wanted a different cocktail. As for the food, the fried wings lacked seasoning, and the rib tips were rubbery and didn't have much flavor. Being from Texas, I enjoy BBQ where the meat stands on its own, so I asked for the BBQ sauce on the side. Unfortunately, even with the sauce, the rib tips didn't have the quality or flavor I was expecting. The staff was polite, but the food quality, drink experience, and overall execution didn't live up to the reputation I was hoping for. I hope management takes this feedback as an opportunity to improve because the restaurant has potential.
