Turnip greens, catfish fillet and dressing, peach cobbler.

Amazing food and service peach cobbler was the best I have ever had for a restaurant all most like home made. Cat fish was great nice and flaky and crunchy and very lo salt. The greens mustard and turps were very good. They add ham hocks in there greens. Corn muffins were very good.. Now the ladies that took my order were very nice. I challenged one lady, to prove to me that her peach cobbler was good... she won the bet I gave both ladies tips. A true test is to me is too reheat there food in the microwave the next day... the taste of the food held up too my Expectations. Oh the chicken wing are the best I have ever had because (get ready) they have the nerve too drip there chicken wing's fresh I swear un-f-ing believable.. Anyway I think this one better Soul food establishment... Thanks for reading Stephen

Turkey Wing, cabbage, beans and rice, banana pudding
    Curly S.

The Banana Pudding was awesome. Wish I had purchased a large. It's literally perfect. 2 1 Entrée 2 Sides I chose included Turkey Wing, cabbage, with rice and beans. I wasn't impressed with the rice and beans. It was bland. Turkey wing was ok. And the cabbage was good. The Banana Pudding was inside the bag and tied up. I appreciate that everything was secured and tamper free but I would suggest they tie cold items in a separate bag so it won't spoil or be warm for the customer.

1 entree, 3 sides: catfish filet, dressing, Mac & cheese, corn muffins, chicken wings, mashed potatoes, greens, and green beans.

Great food and service. Good deserts. My favorite is the pound cake. You get a nice healthy slice for four dollars.

Nobody's performing, everybody's happy to be there, and the staff treated us like they were glad we showed up. Start with the sweet tea. It's the real thing. The Nashville hot chicken and waffles is the move. The heat has actual flavor behind it instead of just burn, and it builds in a way that keeps you going back for another bite. Then I tried the shrimp and grits and had a small crisis about which one I liked better. Still haven't settled it. The grits were creamy, the shrimp had real seasoning, and I cleaned the plate. Fair warning: none of this food is for anyone on a diet. That's the point. Come hungry, wear the forgiving pants, and let somebody else count things for the day.

He had curly hair, was light skinned, and appeared to be either a waiter or busser. While we were seated, he bumped into my chair at least three times and even hit me in the back of the head while trying to move around the area. He apologized each time, but after it kept happening, it became frustrating and uncomfortable. He was also spraying 409 heavily at the table right next to us while we were eating. It was so much spray that I genuinely felt like it may have gotten on my food. On top of that, he repeatedly dropped things around our table and seemed to have a difficult time maneuvering through the dining area. It honestly made me wonder if the table placement itself was part of the problem The food service was also disappointing. My meal came out first, and I had to wait quite a while for my sister's chicken biscuit. When it finally arrived, the chicken was not cooked all the way through. My pancake and bacon were both good. I just wish the overall experience had matched the quality of those items. Between being repeatedly bumped into, being hit in the head, cleaning chemicals being sprayed next to our food, and undercooked chicken, it made the experience difficult to enjoy.

I'm glad that I did. We were greeted upon arrival, and seated shortly thereafter. Our server, David came over and spoke to us about the menu selections. We were extremely satisfied with his service. I was truly impressed with Lou, who I assume was operating in a managerial capacity. He went from table to table checking in with the guests to find out if anything was needed. He removed plates of finished food from tables, and even explained the desert options to us. Well done. The food was delicious! I usually have to add salt to my food. I did not have to add anything here. The food was perfectly seasoned. We all enjoyed our choices. I would highly recommend this restaurant without hesitation.

For the mains, the chicken and waffles were good, carrying that solid comfort food flavor you expect. The waffles were a bit soft for my taste. To drink, the sidecar was mixed perfectly, well-balanced, crisp, and hit the exact right note. Giving it 4 stars only because while the mains were good, the starters and the outstanding service from Miguel were what truly stole the show. Two minutes later, I assume a manager(since he did not introduce himself), brings dark greasy chicken on a plate with mashed potatoes and salad. He condescendingly said, let's see this is hot enough. Our server comes backed shocked that the chicken is there already. The chicken appeared to have been old chicken sitting under a warmer that they dropped in grease. It tasted burnt. Another manager came to inquire as he saw we weren't eating the chicken. We asked him to remove the chicken and we'll eat the sides only. He offered to try again. We said no thanks. Why should it take 3 times to get fresh, hot, almost $40 fried chicken? The bill came with the chicken till on it even thought we sent it back. We politely asked him to remove that charge. The manager had the audacity to say "come back next time so we can get it right". Really? We're is the customer service? Our dinner was ruined, No gift card to come back? I was seated one foot away from another table when other seating possibilities were available that were more private--clearly my note was not looked at before I was seated even though I asked if she'd seen my reservation. After being seated I asked if I could slide my table over as there was a wide open table to my right but a table a foot away to the left. The hostess accommodated the request, but 15 minutes later someone slid a table from the row in front of us to the space directly next to our table.
