Read all of these reviews. Don't waste your time going there! There isn't enough space for me to type what a crummy business this is.

I had my Vizio tv to get repaired with JUST SERVICE one time last year 06/27/2017 it took them almost three weeks to fix it when he said it would be almost 2 weeks picked it up 7/12/2017 68 days later it did the same thing didn't turn on like the last time when I first brought it in to have it repaired!! He told me bring it back in dropped it off 10/11/2017 took him almost 3 months to let me know that he can't fix it and parts aren't found anymore!!!When he said I'll call u at the end of the week and let u know what needs to be done on it!!!First time he said it was the power supply and he repaired it then the second time I took it back he said the powered supply board melted which is the same broad he repaired totally got screwed out of $240 & now he doesn't want to help I highly don't "Recommend" this place this guy is a scam artist taking money for free & not fixing anything correctly!!! He's very rude & none professional Hope no one else it's screwed by JUST SERVICE read more

Friendly service. Free estimates. Fair prices. Quick turn-around times (2 days in my case). I'd use them again and recommend them to friends. I had pro equipment repaired. read more

His time too valuable... don't even bother. Had a Plasma TV that was turing off... So I called about the problem and about the free estimate... and he said it was free estimate. Called again to see when I could bring it in, and if he needed the power cord.... and he said that he didn't need the power cord. Went there 08/30/10... LOST ALL TRUST IN THIS MUTHERFUKER. He tells me there is a charge to check out my TV, that there is only free estimate on analog electronics. (After we talked on the phone) .... then he still tries to fix my TV for a very good price... 2fukingLATE.... I would rather play a man that says his price.... NOT this used car salesman. Then he tells me, "What? Do you think I get paid here to stand here and talk with you?" ... something like that anyway. so... His time too valuable... don't even bother. read more

Do not bother with this place. I thought the previous posts where questionable but they were NOT. Rude, condescending, defensive describe my encounter today. Sounds like this person was having a bad life! Total disappointment. read more

I have a first generation Bose Wave Music System made in 1997. The CD player stopped working, but the player and sound quality is so much better than the newer versions, so I wanted to get it fixed. I went to Best Buy first, but was told it was too old to repair. I eventually found Just Service. He fixed and cleaned it and it is working perfectly now. I will qualify this by saying I dropped it off at the end of October and picked it up the 2nd week of December and, like other reviewers say, follow up is slow, so it can create a little anxiety, but I feel it was worth the wait. I did not find them rude. I think there are few with the skills to do what he offers and there is a backlog, so he is extremely busy. I'm satisfied and I would go back since I had a positive experience and I know what to expect. read more

A complete scam. They held my turntable for six weeks, didn't fix a single thing and charged $40 for the privilege. Ended with the store owner screaming "you're a piece of shit!" to me. Never, ever patronize this business. The man is a thief and a scam artist. read more

Negative stars for Just Service. Complete sham rip-off. AVOID at all costs. 1. They are a CASH-ONLY business. You will have ZERO recourse if they don't get the job done right the first or second or third time around. 2. To complete the slipshod work, they will charge you an extra $40 bench time while they complete the job they originally half-assed the first time around. DONT BRING YOUR GEAR TO Just Service. "Just Service" should be called "Just Kidding." My roommate and I took our Panasonic receiver in for service. We are very tech savvy, and tried to fix it at home, including calling Panasonic service reps, but to no avail. As such, we thought "Just Service" looked like a good alternative. Little did we know, this was starting a two month (to the day!) ordeal that would return our receiver unfixed. The business told us they would look into fixing the product, and quoted us $150 with a $40 deposit. They also told us we could "monitor their progress online." After a month, we realized they had not updated the status of the receiver. Finally, it changed to "Part has been ordered" Yes, we thought, we are getting our receiver back soon, right? Wrong. Two weeks later, we contacted Just Service and they told us it would now be $320. What? We picked up the receiver and were told we wouldn't be getting our deposit back, as that paid for 'all the time he spent on the phone with Panasonic tech support!' Thats what we paid this company to do? Overall such a bad experience. I do NOT recommend this company, unless you like having your electronics out of service for extended periods of time, lack of communication, and bait-and-switch tactics. I would love to see who they are polling to calculate their "99.7% customer satisfaction" rate! read more

I would give this place ZERO stars if I could. I'm in utter disbelief of what I have experienced at this piece of crap of a business. My 60 inch plasma TV started getting these white lines, as if about to have static, but never actually got staticky. 1. When you call, the automated system says there is a free estimate, LIE. You go in and have to pay $40 CASH which is non-refundable (cash only, of course) for them to even look at your TV. 2. After dropping my TV off, guy said he would call me later to tell me the estimate. Well later came and I received no phone call. So the next day (Friday), I called and asked them about my estimate. They said they haven't got to it yet and would call me the next day (Saturday, when the place isn't even open on Saturdays. HA). 3. Finally got a call 7 days later about my estimate. Ok, whatever, I didn't think anything of it. I really love my TV so I went in and paid my $200 for a total of $240 in repair fees. 4. Got my TV back (whoo exciting). Turned it on, plugged in my Roku (which I've been using with that TV for two years), and everything seemed normal, until about an hour later. My TV now had all this static (which it didn't even have before), my HDMI port all of sudden stopped working, and this message saying "unauthorized access" kept popping up. WTFFF 5. So now I'm pissed the F off, and go back in there to demand a refund, or something, and thats when this MF of a manager tries to feed me a bunch of bull. He told me that the message about unauthorized access was because of my roku (oh thats funny, never saw that message in the two years I've used it). I'm pretty sure messages like that pop up when someone tampers with hardware, which they did. Then about the static, oh yea I guess that's caused by the roku too because of the internet (so he says). Then asks me if I've tried using an antenna because it doesn't use internet. Are you kidding me? It's 2015!! Who the F uses antennas on 60 inch plasma TVs? 6. THE ICING ON THE CAKE. I obviously had to give them my yellow slip for them to look up my order. Then when I was leaving, I asked for it back and this MF said I already took it and put in my bag (he didn't give it back to me!!!). Then I asked if he could print out a new receipt, and he said he couldn't. But how can they view my invoice but not print it out? Complete bullsh*t! I feel really stupid because all of the signs were there that this place is a COMPLETE SCAM. It's unreal how they are even still in business. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST. I will edit my review once I file this lawsuit and talk to the better business bureau. No one deserves to get away with sh*t like this. read more

I live in New England and when my DVD recorder developed problems I went to the internet for repairs. I sent the recorder to Just Service per their instructions. I had such a bad experience with Just Service. Not only were they incompetent but they were also rude and extremely dismissive and unfriendly. They charged me $150 to "fix" a home theater sytem and then it stopped working three weeks after I got it back. They of course took no responsibility and still kept my $150. The only reason I ended up there is because they are an authorized repair for Panasonic. I would never go back there. read more

So i have no idea about plasma tv's. I was given one by some friends and the picture and sound went out. Like most people, i went online to understand why it was malfunctioning... knowing that i was not diagnosing FOR SURE what the problem is. I wanted to know before hauling a tv over to their shop - if it was something that could cost a LOT (in which case i would buy a new tv) or if it was something moderately priced. This place was the closest place to me for TV repair, so I called and spoke to a man (pretty sure the owner) who acted somewhat put out that i was even calling. I explain the situation and told him i went online and saw that this is a common problem with plasma tvs. I told him that i was just wanting a ball park price so i can see if i even want to mess with it. He basically said i would have to bring it in - it could be anything (well duh). He then said all tvs lose picture and sound so there's no way to diagnose over the phone (which was not what i needed anyway). I told him i saw online that this is typical of a y-sustain and y-buffer. With an attitude, he says, "Fine bring it in and i will replace the y-sustain. It will cost you 40.00 plus labor, but if that isnt the problem you will still have to pay for that." I said that i wasnt trying to imply i know what the problem is and he started talking over me saying "well, you threw out 'y-sustain' so i guess you know thats the problem." I just said "okay, I'll just call someone else, how about that?" and hung up. SO rude... for no reason. I mean seriously dude? You've been open for 15 minutes... is it that bad already that you need to act like you're doing me a favor by talking to me? I dont quite understand why he felt the need to turn the conversation that direction but he did.... so i will be calling his competitors - they can have my money if i decide to get it repaired. read more

Brought my Sony LED TV in for repair due to unexpected shutoff. About a week later, he claims to have fixed it. I picked it up and brought it home. After connecting it, same problem. I called and he asked to bring the TV back. I did and this time I didn't hear back for 2 weeks! Finally sent a message, and he claims it was ready and fixed. He said he "ran it all day" and it worked perfectly fine. I brought it back home, same problem. I don't think my TV was even touched over the 2 weeks (it even had a layer of dust on it). Avoid at ALL costs. This guy is a crook. Especially with his shady "cash only" and "no refunds". read more

I don't have words to describe how frustrated I am. They had my $500 reciever for 2 weeks with no notification as to when I was getting it back. I then got it back and it had no proof of what they repaired. I opened the box and it is not fixed at all!!! I called them back up and they tried to tell me that I was doing something wrong. That my cables were bad...all 5 top of the line HDMI cables all of a sudden went bad. I'm going through someone else. These guys are just absolutely terrible. read more

Do not use this service!!!! They charge a $40 non refundable fee to just look at it. I went on in November 2015 to drop off my tv for service and the guy/owner was very rude, even when I was trying to explain the problem. It's been 3+ months, and I have not received an update from them. They have a "do not call about service update" rule and they do not answer the phone, except for sales. (Call and see what I am talking about). Even the sales guy over the phone was very rude. read more

Wish had a negative star which I could give this guy ! After Comed came & changed meters, Panasonic TV went dead. Called Panasonic & they gave this service centre no. Drove all the way in rain to show TV. Owner did not want to step outside 4 ft ( parked right outside shop) to come look at or give a hand to bring TV in. Stood smiling at door like a fool ! Then tells me has no time for all this & go somewhere else. RUDE, OBNOXIOUS, HORRIBLE Service, DOWN TO EARTH CROOK ! Panasonic should revoke his license.. Never GO there. Negative 10 to him. Does false advt, city should revoke his license too. Went to Bell TV on Irving Park. 70 year old owner came out, walked 1 block & helped bring TV in. KUDOS TO BELL TV. They give free estimates on repairs and they really tell it how it is, they don't try to bullshit you here.. my tv was shot and he flat out told me it would be more worth my money to buy a new tv than to have them take it apart and try to fix it because the odds are it wasn't repairable.. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS STORE! Brought my CD player in for service in April 2013. I never heard from them for six months. I checked the website for status and it continually said it was being worked on. I phone twice and was rudely told to only check the website. I contacted the Consumer Protection Dept. and they got Just Service to relinquish my property (Nov. 2013). STILL NOT REPAIRED. Reported them to the Better Business Bureau (Rated "D" with so many complaints). And alerted both the Trib and SunTimes Consumer Desk about how this business takes advantage of its customers (see other reviews at Yelp). Consumer Protection Dept. of Chicago was great, by the way. They really do what they intend. I would still be waiting for my property had they not stepped in! There are so many reputable repair shops in city. DO NOT GIVE THIS BUSINESS YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY. read more

They repaired my CD player on one day. I've used them several times and the service has always been great.

Just wanted to provide an update. It looks like Onkyo removed "Just Service" from their authorized service providers list. Kudos to Onkyo for doing the right thing by their customer, and not subjecting future customers to having to deal with this company. The fact that a large corporation like Onkyo no longer authorizes them to work on their equipment should tell you something. read more

Okay, I will accept responsibility for not doing a better job of researching this business before I brought my Vizio TV in for repair. I brought my tv in and described the problem. I told him I didn't want to spend more than $200.00( I know, I learned my lesson). He called a couple days later and told me my tv was fixed. Of course the bill just happened to be $200.00. Two months go by and tv starts doing the same thing. Turning red in shadows or dark areas. So, I tried calling, and calling, and calling.. Nothing but voice mail. Left a couple messages.. nothing. I would NOT go here! All of these negative reviews are accurate. read more

Do not trust these people. The customer service is rude and they treat you as if you dont know anything. They say that they give a free quote, but they do so without even looking at the product. Ok, they couldn't save my hard drive - which isn't their fault. And when I came in to pick it up, the guy was friendly enough and explained what was wrong with it. So why the low rating? They charge $35 just to look at it (pro computers on clark doesn't charge for estimates). When I asked it they took credit, the guy pointed at a shady old ATM in the lobby. The machine was out of cash, yet still charged by account, which I had to resolve with my bank. They also didn't get back to me when promised and their online status system was never updated. read more

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH, "Just Service" on Clark Street. I'll say it again DO NOT do business with this place. I was called a, "FAGGOT" as I left buy the owner yesterday evening. What a real mature adult. They had my radio and promised to call me the next day with an estimate on a repair. 3 weeks later, I called to inquire about my radio and was rudely and very curtly, given about 6 excuses why I wasn't contacted with the estimate. The same "adult" that called me a, "FAGGOT" was the same infant I dealt with on the phone that was rude and full of excuses. Again DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS STORE. Not only do they name call, but they are rude and painfully slow. I'm contacting the BBB on them as well. read more

Can I leave a negative star???? This place is a complete scam. My Parasound amp, had two channels go out on it, so I took it to Just Service to get repaired. I was in a hurry to get this fixed so I didn't do my normal research on who to go to, to get this fixed. I looked at their website, saw they were an authorized Parasound repair center, and I thought- Okay this place should be able to fix my amp.... WRONG! So I took my amp into the store, and talked to the owner. I explained that I had diagnosed it with my scope, but I didn't really have the time to fix it. Once he heard that I dug into it, he told me that I would need to pay $40 cash for them to inspect it. I was pressed for time so I said fine, so I had to walk to the local ATM and get $40 cash. This place does not take credit cards. You will find out why! When I handed him the cash he said, "this is most likely going to cost $350-400 to repair", I laughed as said, "it's not only worth that, either way, I know what is wrong with it and its not going to cost over $100 to fix." The owner was semi rude and acted like I had no clue what I was talking about and proceeded to say, "this won't be looked at for at least 2-3 weeks, its xmas season and we are backed up". Once I got home I looked at some reviews and then found all of the negative reviews on Yelp about this place.... I was sick to say the least. Then I sent them an e-mail and said- "do not touch my amp, I will come pick it up in the morning." Their website says not to call, but to e-mail. Also you can look up to see if the unit has been worked on, as there is a status section. At that time, no activity. So the next morning I go into get my amp, and somehow the amp has been inspected, and a quote of $375 to fix..... Not only did this guy not even look at my amp, now he refused to refund my $40.00.. I took the amp, told his he was scam artist, and left. I then took the amp to my trusted repair shop in Michigan. Yesterday I received a call and was told, "your amp is repaired and the price will be $106.00." Interesting, that's pretty much exactly what I told this joke of a shop it was going to cost to fix. Do yourself a favor- stay away from this place. They will rip you off! I hope this dirtbag calls me, to complain about this review, he seems to have a history of this. If he does- I will continue this review. Parasound is also getting a copy of this review as well as a link to all of the negative reviews... This place should be shutdown! read more

Took my Onkyo receiver in because it stopped upconverting signals to the HDMI output. I already diagnosed the problem with Crutchfield (where I bought it), and rather than ship it to them, I took it to Just Service. I should have walked out when the owner kept insisting that the receiver can't upconvert signals, so it was probably wasn't even broken. Even after I told him I had been using it to do just that for the past 6 months, he stuck to his guns. 3 MONTHS LATER, after repeatedly requesting updates from their website and getting no response, I finally just went in and got it back. When I asked him what he had been doing with it for 3 months, he confidently said he had researched it extensively and it can't upconvert signals, just like he told me in the first place. Apparently his "research" didn't include page 32 of the owner's manual - "By configuring the AV receiver, input signals from the composite video, S-Video, and component video jacks can be output through the HDMI OUT." I took it to another Onkyo service center and had it back, fixed, in 2 weeks. The guy is functionally retarded, which in itself is no crime, but he thinks he knows it all. Stay away, far away. read more

Crappy workmanship, crappy customer service, crappy technicians!!! I sent my amplifier for repairs to them. I was told that they specialize in repairing my make of amplifier. They were supposed to call once it was received, but I had to call them (red flag 1). When they called with the estimate ($280.00) was advised they only take check or money order payments (2nd red flag). When repair was "supposedly" done, they sent my amp back. As I took the amp to set it up one of the holding screws fell out and cover was missing. When I called the tech to tell him what happened he basically called me a liar and said he checked it out himself before shipment. I plugged in the amp and it's worse than when I sent it for repairs. Sent pictures and video showing issues, but the tech/customer service said they couldn't see because of the file was corrupted (red flag 3). Guy I dealt with was rude and full of excuses!!! I would advise against using Just Service Inc unless you want to get taken!!! read more

I signed up for Yelp just to warn you all not to go here. I got a repair done back earlier this year and I'm still trying to sort out the mess they made. I had one key on my Korg Krome that was acting up. It was too sensitive to the touch. Anytime it was played, no matter how loud or soft, it emitted the same intensity sound. I took the keyboard in because it was right around the corner from where I lived at the time. It was convenient. I read the reviews and braced myself for the awful customer service. And the awful customer service came. The place is a mess, with equipment piled all over the place. The guy behind the counter was brusque and full of snide remarks. I let it all roll off my back because I had mentally prepared for this and I figured, it's just one broken key, surely they can fix that. At one point, I asked him how difficult it would be replace some yellowed keys (simply for cosmetic reasons) and he just flatly refused, saying it was a chore to get the parts from Korg (later when I asked at another shop, they said it could be done relatively easily; I think Just Service is just afraid of doing good work). He also said SquareTrade (with whom I had my warranty) was a hassle to work with. Not true. I got my reimbursement and Just Service got paid without any fuss. My guess is the dude at Just Service was just being his typical unpleasant self with someone at SquareTrade and they pushed back. At any rate, I pushed past the rude customer service and left my keyboard behind. To their credit, they got the work done pretty quickly. Within a few days. However, when I went to pick up the keyboard, they wouldn't let me test it at the shop to see if everything was in order. I asked a few times, insisting that it would only take a two minutes tops and that nobody else was in the store. I talked to two associates. The second being the same rude dude from my first visit. He insisted it wasn't company policy to test out electronics in store (probably because they do a terrible job and don't want people to find out till they've gone home, lest they cause a scene in store). I lug the keyboard home, plug it in, and the key is fixed. Relief. Followed by disbelief when two new keys display the exact same problem I had before. So they essentially nullified whatever repair they did by doubling the problem. I called them up and had a tense phone conversation with them. He wanted me to bring the keyboard back in to fix it, and I said no way. They were still going to charge for additional parts but not labor, or something like that. Either way, even if it was free, I was not going to leave the keyboard in their "care" for another second. The thing that bothers me the most is their complete refusal to even entertain the idea of trying out the keyboard in store after the repair. My only guess is they knew it was broken even worse and didn't want me to find out then and there. The only caveat I will give is these guys seem to know how to repair certain computer electronics (judging from the reviews); unless those are all just friends and family. Do not trust them with your musical equipment. The place is a complete and utter sham. Steer clear. read more

They kept my laptop alive almost a year longer than it would've lasted. Repairs were reasonably priced, and sometimes done within 24 hours.

Genuinely Dishonest. Terrible customer service. Avoid. Run. Hide. Long story short: they botched the receiver repair on my Denon, and tricked/coerced me into paying twice for the same repair. After an initial "repair" the unit did not work when I got home. I brought the unit back to them, they kept it another two weeks. They called and said it was fixed. I showed up, and they demanded payment for a 2nd repair. They claimed that I "rebroke" it and created an elaborate story as to how I had short circuited it. I paid and took it home. It did work, for awhile... How do I know they faked this? The receiver failed again in the same way. This time I took it to a repair shop run by someone who specializes in receivers. He immediately found the previous repairs were shoddy repairs and showed me the clear evidence of their botched work. He repaired it properly. Despite having paid $400 in total for what should have been a $100 repair, all is good now. DENON: Revoke their authorized status! read more

This had to be one of the worst business transactions I have ever had. Wished I had read the reviews first. Brought them a Denon receiver that stopped working. They "fixed" it however when I took it home, yes it did power up (original problem) but there was no audio. Took it back and they told me the new problems were caused by me because I must have plugged it in wrong! Would not cover it under their warranty. The degree of arrogance, rudeness, and just plain argumentativeness was outstanding. When I asked what they had done, the owner took the receipt out of my hands and circled the parts replaced and said read it. I cannot imagine how this place stays in business.
