Just had a wonderful experience with the owner of Condor TV Repair. I am a senior citizen and he literally fixed my large TV over the phone. It would have been difficult to bring it in. I would highly recommend this business!!! read more

Worth the drive! Not many places left with people who can fix or are knowledgeable about CRT TVS. And this place has them. They are quick with their turnaround and are extremely fair with their pricing. They back their work with a guarantee. How can you beat that?! Amazing place. Great ppl. Even better work. Thank you. read more

Brought my tv in, was given a fast quote and had it repaired when I got back into town. Much cheaper than replacing tv altogether no matter how much prices have fallen. read more

This was a Great find! I went here based on Yelp reviews and I'm so glad I did. Abraham and his son are just plain good people. They charge you $20 up front for analyzing the problem. The $20 goes towards repair. The price is very fair and work is quality. I realize 5 stars is the Max but they deserve it. Dealing with a small family owned and operated business was a pleasure. The friendly and professional service is above the norm. Their work comes with 90 day warranty on labor and a year for parts. What's not to like? This was a very pleasant and enjoyable experience. read more

I took my Samsung in, they diagnosed and gave a fair price. It worked for a week and went out. It turns out there was was an obscure situation that was causing the power supply to short out. They lived up to their word of 90 day guarantee, spent $70 out of their pocket to fix it for free to me. Honest shop. You can have confidence getting your tv fixed here. read more

Do not recommend, not trustworthy. I took a high end 75 inch 8K in here based on good reviews. The TV would not turn on but was perfect condition outside of that issue. For next two weeks I get inconsistent messages about them trying back light, power board and other parts to fix it. Kept mentioning lines in tv which I didn't understand as it was perfect condition outside of not turning on. Finally go in 2 weeks later and get the attached picture of tv. They tell me the lines are in the tv and can't be fixed and they don't know what it is from. Disappointing as screen was fine when I dropped it off, but they claim they didn't look closely at the tv when I dropped it off (great business strategy). They say they didn't do it, lie about a main board not being available so even if they did the TV can't be fixed anyway. They even pretended to be confused as to what would have caused the damage. Left there with the TV and took it for second opinion to Ben's TV Repair in Glenview (wish I would of gone here first). Ben's TV took one look at it and diagnosed it with a broken panel from physical impact damage to the screen. Refused to charge me for looking at it and recycled the TV for free. Sent an email to condor to see if they want to make it right and crickets. Classy customer service. Never got an answer but pretty sure this place doesn't have insurance if they break your TV so they just try to hide it. Save yourself the hassle and take your TV to Ben's TV Repair in Glenview. read more

Took in a small tv where the coaxial cable connector had broken. They promptly fixed in two days at a reasonable cost. Had to return because the remote wasn't working. While I waited they cleaned the sensor. No charge. Wow what great service. Honest, and reasonably priced. A great combination. I like that they will tell you if it's worth putting money in to a piece of electronics. TV prices have come down so knowing when to fix something is important. Will definitely return if I have an issue with another TV. read more

Abraham and his Crew did a great job on my Sansui g8000. I highly recommend him for anything electronic. He is very reasonably priced. 5 Stars + read more

Great place. Family run. Brought in a 2-year old Samsung 48 inch TV (the picture went out). Originally thought I would have to scrap it because the cost to repair might be too much verses a new TV. They fixed my set within a few days, at a cost that was much lower than what I was anticipating. Straight forward, work done as promised. Definitely worth it, and the best is the set is back up on the wall like nothing ever happened. Will return if the need arises and great to find a good local repair shop. read more

I had two TV's repaired by Condor. The first was an expensive Plasma which would not power on properly. They fixed that one perfectly. Which made me very happy and willing to try again. My experience with the second TV was not as good. This was an inexpensive Samsung 6 series, only a couple years old. I brought the TV to them in late November and didn't hear from them for a couple weeks. Then, when I finally got it back about a month later, it had the same problem - it was as if they had not even repaired it at all. There's a 90 day warranty so, they took it back and tried again. This time when I got it back, the bezel was all scratched up and the back was not properly attached. To top it all off, it still had the same problem! At this point, I did not take it back to them. I tried to reattach the back which was difficult and in the process saw that there was only one board in the TV. Since I am an IT guy, I decided to purchase the board online and replace it myself. The part cost $70 and took me about 15 minutes to replace. Had I watched a YouTube video before taking it to them I could have saved over $100. Additionally, they are a cash only business - so keep that in mind. Overall, very nice people but, their repair skills leave something to be desired. read more

I was very impressed with the service I received on a repair to an older CD combination Radio, Tape player. Few people might even want to fix it but they did so promptly so I could surprise my husband with this added birthday gift. I recommend them for their expertise and professionalism. read more

I took a 40 year old techniques turntable in them with a complaint of low sound volume they have a policy of $20 estimate cost which is more than fair he called me 2 weeks later in said the rubber the replacement of the cartridge in needle would be over $300 I approve the repair and he called me a couple of days later to report that he cleaned it instead of replaced it which I was more than happy with because of the cost of for placement was excessive Works great I would highly recommend them for any electronic's repair. This place is horrible, I took my tv there working and I got it back all broken, the guy there say it was the led back light it took two weeks to tell me it's not fixible, and he offer to recycle for me, he probably steal the part from my tv I won't go there if I knew this will happen read more

Visited condor a couple years back for a repair on my Samsung plasma. Abraham was able to fix it the same day and at a fair cost. Went in recently to diagnose an issue I was having with another plasma. Abraham stopped what he was doing to help me and adjusted a few things without even wanting a dollar from me. If you need a tv repaired or looked at, don't hesitate to visit condor. Great local business and stellar service. A++ read more

My husband found this place based on google based on their reviews which are almost 5 stars. They offered a free estimate on carry in items so we brought our LCD tv on a Saturday afternoon and received a call by Tuesday with a resolution. He then said the tv could even be done by later that afternoon for a reasonable price and 90 day guarantee. We weren't able to get there within their listed hours but the owner, BJ, offered to stay until 515-530 for us which was very nice. He even carried the tv to the car for us. It's a family owned and ran business that I will continue to support for all my tv/electronic needs. read more

My 55" Sony LED TV was only 3 years old and fizzled out on me. I had almost thrown it out when I came across Condor TV repair. I explained the problem and they seemed confident it could be fixed. Great service, and quick fix! My Samsung had trouble turning on for the last few weeks and was worried I'd have to buy a new TV. Brought the TV in to Condor, and they were able to fix it and my TV was back on my wall the very next day. I passed on some local TV repairman because of the great service I had heard at Condor. Glad I did and I would definitely go back in the future! read more

Amazing service and timeliness! First let me say that it is nearly impossible to get me to give anything 5 stars. I am probably "overly critical", at least that is what my friends and family would say! Ha! I give 5 stars here without hesitation! Our 50 inch Samsung Plasma TV, which was wall mounted, "popped" one night while we were watching and all of the sudden we had sound but no picture. We searched around for a week or so trying to figure out what to do, and I stumbled upon Condor TV Repair. I called on Monday and told Abraham the situation. He said no problem, they could come to my house, un-mount the TV and let me know the issue. They were able to come the next day! They came at a set time, not a window of time, which was AWESOME, and they were right on time! My husband helped them take the TV down and they took back to their shop to fix. They told us 2-5 days to fix. That would've put us at a completion date of 10/9 to 10/15 (assuming no work on weekends). Today, 10/8 (a day EARLY!!) they called and told me the TV was fixed (it was a bad board), could they bring back to my house? They gave me a timeframe and again, were right on time! They helped me put the TV back up on the wall and everything is good as new with the TV. There was a service call charge of $85 for the house call and diagnosis, but it went against our repair bill! And their prices for the fix were reasonable. There is even a 90 day warranty on their fix! You don't see service like this anymore. I am so impressed by Condor TV Repair and highly recommend!! read more

Old school family business with great service and great price. The picture of my 64" Samsung plasma was shot. It was about four years old; I debated buying new, but saw good reviews for this business on Yelp and thought I had nothing to lose, so I dropped it off. Within a week they diagnosed, ordered/installed parts, all for a very reasonable price! My TV now works as good as new! Highly recommend! FIVE stars! read more

I'm writing this review really late as I used condor's services quite a few months ago. But, better late than never!!! My kids broke my sisters tv and I found condor online. Hands down the best repair shop I have dealt with! Fast, reliable and trustworthy! I dropped off my broken TV on Monday morning and picked it up on Tuesday afternoon! I called many other shops and this was the only shop that answered all of my questions knowledgeably! No shady business practices, just clear info and definite results! The TV I picked up was better than the TV when purchased originally (purchased the TV used); they fixed something at no charge to me which made the picture on the screen much clearer than when I brought it in. I highly recommend this shop to anyone that wants fast, great results!! Thanks so much to the guys at Condor! read more

Very good experience with my TV repair. I called at 12:00 and dropped of my TV to repair a backlight at 1:00. I was able to pickup my fully repaired TV by 4:45 all in the same day. I am extremely satisfied with the service I received. Thanks again! read more

Took my 58" Samsung in to be repaired and they replaced the main board. Three weeks later I had the same problem (wouldn't turn on). I had to take it back in and they stood by their warranty and fixed it free of charge. They then delivered back to my house for me which was extremely helpful because it wouldn't fit into my car with my children's car seats. Overall I am very happy with their service and would use them. Would have been 5 stars if I didn't have to bring the TV back in. read more

I dropped off my 50" plasma TV to get it repaired that's what they get the 1 star for is that it works. About a week and a half later they call to say the TV is ready, when I came to pick it up the whole front of the frame is all scratched up my TV didn't even have one scratch on it when I dropped it off it's only 2 yrs old and it hangs on the wall it looked brand new. The place looks run down and TV's laying, standing, and leaning against walls no wonder they scratched the whole front of it now it looks like and old used TV. When I showed them that the whole front of it is scratched they knocked off $30 from my $250 bill what kind of BS is that ... so that's why I decided to write this review to warn others of the shady service they do. read more
