I wasn't super familiar with how the ordering process worked, so I ended up with a Build Your Own bowl--lettuce, chickpeas, cucumbers, and tomatoes--and added chicken, even though I didn't really want to. It wasn't exactly what I was going for, but that's more on me than the place. We also got a Pick Two combo: a strawberry banana smoothie (with oat milk, banana, strawberries, flax seeds, and agave) and the Thai Chicken Crunch salad (romaine, red cabbage, roasted chicken, carrots, celery, and wontons). Everything was decent and fresh, just nothing that really stood out flavor-wise. We took everything to go since we were busy getting her room set up, and it worked for what we needed--a quick, fairly healthy option. I ordered the salad for delivery, but it came highly rated. I ordered the buffalo chicken salad and a smoothie. All of the ingredients were fresh and very crisp. I did add I. The egg as well. The dressing was amazing and you can tell it was made in house. Delivery was easy and they made everything to order. I was only missing my straw so I had to open the cup, but appreciate that I the cup was sealed for transport. I would recommend and can't wait to try again while I'm int the area. read more

I really love Just Salad and always look forward to coming here. Located right across from campus, it is a prime place to grab lunch. Their salads are so yummy with great flavor combinations. The portions aren't too big, but are just enough to satisfy you. The service is always on point here and the workers are the friendliest, most accommodating people. The eatery is kept very clean as well, which I appreciate. Just Salad has a nice variety of bowls, salads, and wraps. I love that they offer so many different topping options too. It really allows you to curate your meal to your exact liking. Their seasonal menu is always fun too. Recently I've been really enjoying their buffalo cauliflower bowl featuring grillos pickles. Okay I'm obsessed with this place now, and can't wait to go back. I wish I lived closer! I love a good salad, especially if it makes it easier to eat greens and it tastes good at the same time. This place kind of reminds me of Chipotle, but for salads and wraps if that makes sense. I LOVE all of the toppings you can choose from, and I love that they have veg. meat options for those days I want to go meatless. So far my favorite proteins are the crispy chicken, the braised chicken thigh, and the tofu. They also have a plant-based meatless option for my vegan friends. (I think it's vegan "chicken") You can make a salad into a wrap, which I've done a few times. I like both the salads and wraps though. I have not tried the smoothies or warm bowls, so I can't speak to that. Portions were generous imo, I didn't even have to ask. The guy that took my order the first time I visited was just piling the ingredients in the bowl, I was shocked lol. They do charge for extra toppings, but you can also ask to sub toppings for another one if you don't like something. The employees I've come into contact with were friendly and got my order right, so I have no complaints there. Two small things I will mention though: parking can be challenging to find, especially bc it's close to the university. Another thing, prices are on the higher side. (Again, think Chipotle) For the quality of the ingredients, the portions, and the overall health and wellness aspect they bring to the table so to speak, I think it's worth it because the salads I've had have all been fantastic and filling. I feel good eating this food! I can't say enough good things about this place, and I've already told a couple of friends about it. They need to build more of these ASAP! read more

This was okay in terms of the fresh spinach arugula and salad greens which were available. Portions were on the small side and the people serving were not exactly enthusiastic They didn't look like they wanted to be there. The food was okay but the serving size was small. We asked for tofu instead of chicken and they gave maybe five or at maximum six little squares of tofu. We ask for avocado and they will only two little slices of avocado that were not even 1 inch long. Then the salad dressing was on the side but it was those small 1 oz containers but it was only half full. Not sure what was going on with all the stinginess but it was very unpleasant. read more

I don't often post poor restaurant reviews but today it feels right. I'm my office mate and I ordered thru grubhub and scooped up our salads before a meeting. We got back to the office and all the kale in the salad is slimy/rotten/clumped from being slimy together. I called to ask about a refund and was told if I don't pick up a new salad today that I'll have to request a refund through Grubhub. What I don't understand is that Just Salad put rotten kale in a salad...how is that grubhubs problem? The chick said she couldn't comp a salad for another day and that if I wanted a comp it would have to be today - but due to on going meetings I am unavailable. My disgruntled review comes from it being a salad place - literally "Just Salad". If I ever ran a salad joint I'd be on the lookout for rotten products and avoid putting them in a bowl/combining them. There were *no* non-rotten pieces of kale which made me realize the person putting it together just didn't care or was over worked that it went unnoticed... I stopped trying to pick out the rotten kale from my $16.50 salad (too many small rotten clumps that made the salad taste poorly) and threw it out. I've been to a bunch of Just Salad's and they are very very meh in NYC (having been displaced by Sweet green among others). Just Salad in Gainesville is just awesome, with way better quality than its NYC peers. They have a zillion different ingredients to make a salad, and the quality of the produce is very high. I took off a star as this place is not open on Saturday or Sunday, and they actually ran out of bread by Friday night, but otherwise, it's a great option when you are trying to eat healthy. read more

My boyfriend and I settled on their pesto chicken salad and buffalo chicken salad respectively. The greens were fresh and delicious, the chicken was nice and tender, but most importantly the dressssssing Definitely enjoyed my experience at Just Salad, and fun fact if you buy their reusable bowls for the low-low price of $1, you get a free extra topping every time you use it. I saw this place FINALLY opened up and I had to try it out. Met up with a friend here and I was genuinely surprised by the interior; the furniture was very modern and trendy. I also love their option to purchase a reusable bowl for free additional toppings so you can literally Go Green and save a few extra bucks! I ended up ordering the Buffalo Chicken Salad, unfortunately they didn't have the "buffalo chicken available," but they were very accommodating and made sure to toss grilled chicken in buffalo sauce for me. The service was spot on and everyone was friendly and pleasant to talk to. I enjoyed the salad, but it was not MIND BLOWING. It tasted like something that I could make at home. I probably will try something else next time. I also thought the prices were a little high, but the salad came out in a HUGE bowl. I couldn't even finish and I usually eat big portions. Overall, this is a great spot to meet up with an old friend or a cute first date spot. Just Salad isn't a place I'll be grabbing a bite to eat any time soon, but I definitely will go back to try something else. P.S. I geek over places with great ice and this is one of them. Stopped by here for lunch after hearing about them from a friend! The location is in the same building as the Taco Bell and Hurricane BTW building, so it's convenient and close to campus. There was also adequate meter parking around the corner for 1hr and 2hr limits. The location is very clean and they designed the interior with modern feels in navy and wood colors. Upon entering, there were many people who welcomed us in, and they allowed us to take our time in deciding what we liked to order. I noticed that they had the "Pick 2" for $11.99, so I decided I would order that. The different options for pairing are medium salad, soup, toast, chips+water bottle. I ordered the Tokyo SuperGreens Salad paired with a Pepper Gouda Soup. My sister ordered the Thai Chicken Crunch salad paired with a avocado dreamsicle smoothie. For some reason my salad came in a large bowl, and my sisters came in the medium (standard) size, so upon comparison my sister's salad looked a bit small. But they didn't over charge or anything for the sizing mistake. The Tokyo SuperGreen is very flavorful and I like how they ask you how much dressing you prefer at the bar. My sister also enjoyed the Thai chicken crunch and said it was enough food when paired w the smoothie. The soup wasn't amazing, but just tasted like a soup I would expect at any other salad soup or even sandwich joint. Pricing is a little on the higher end for the pick 2, but I would say it's in the normal range for anywhere to eat like this lately, esp near campus. I would probably come on days I'm on campus and looking for a salad fix, but not sure if they would be a place I would visit regularly yet. Overall, I give it 5/5 for cleanliness, friendliness, adequate portions, and food choices. Price: 4/5 Price of food is very reasonable as it is fresh and made with good quality ingredients! I also like that they are trying to be sustainable by selling reusable to-go salad bowls for $1 (which they will give you two toppings for free every time you use it!) Food: 5/5 I tried a multitude of items on the menu, but my favorite items were the 30g protein vegetarian wrap, avocado toast, and the buffalo chicken salad. First, a bit about the place. There is indoor and outdoor seating, right along the sidewalk, so I think it will be a good place to grab a bite to eat on evenings when the sun has set and things cool down a bit. Inside is more of an individual seating kind of arrangement, and I would not expect to have a large party go here and be together. The seating is just not appropriate for that sort of thing. Food is counter service, kind of like your typical sandwich places. OK... the food. Just Salad is not just salads, despite the name. They also do wraps, smoothies, and a number of other things. For solid food, I tried the buffalo chicken salad and the crunchy avocado toast. The buffalo chicken salad was excellent, with a nice spicy kick to it that kept me wanting more. The crunchy avocado toast was good, but it was an item that I don't think I would have wanted more than a half portion. I think it would be good if you were with someone and you got it as an appetizer to share between people, as a full serving of that items would seem to be very single-note and tough to put down completely (and I am a big guy). For drinks, there are a number of options. The strawberry lemonade was a bit too sweet for my tastes, and the cucumber mint lemonade was just... odd. It wasn't bad, mind you, but the mint just completely threw me. I think part of the problem is that my tastes favor the sour, and neither lemonade had any real lemon flavor to it. Oh well, they also had a really nice peach iced tea that had the perfect amount of peach flavoring to it (very light... just enough to take away the acrid flavor of straight black tea). And then we have the smoothies. I tried two of them. The first was the avocado dreamsicle, which frankly tasted like an orange creamsicle but with the orange replaced with avocado. Interesting flavor, but not something I fell in love with. It sort of fell into the realm of the cucumber mint lemonade, but was a bit better. The other smoothie I tried was the strawberry banana. Let's be frank... the combination of banana and strawberry is a classic one that simply works, and I was very happy with that. I would order that again in a heartbeat. So there we go. After a salad, a bit of avocado toast, some smoothies and drinks, I had a very full belly. I think I will be back at some point, assuming I can stomach finding parking and dealing with University Ave., and when that happens I will most likely be getting the buffalo chicken salad with a strawberry banana smoothie. read more

The toppings that were included were very sparse. My husbands salad was wilted, the tortilla chips were stale and chewy, and they included hardly any toppings. Awful customer service. I ordered food online for pickup. And no one notified me that they were out of proteins and sides. The restaurant told me that I could pick up my food the next day. When I got to the restaurant the employees had no idea what was going on. Getting a hold of customer service was extremely hard since they took a long time to answer the calls or texts. Delicious salads and wraps. I have no complaints about the food. It was clean, fresh and (most importantly) really, really tasty. Their hours are supper odd to me because they close before dinner time, so it is solely a lunch spot. I got the chicken poblano salad as a wrap and I highly recommend it! My only complaint is that it seems expensive for a wrap and salad. I wish it was just a couple of dollars cheaper, but I guess we are paying for the fresh ingredients. Prices are good and the food tastes amazing. It is healthy and as their slogan says it contains no fake stuff. I like that the vegetables are locally sourced as stated by one of the employees. Another great thing is you can order the food as is or you can build your own salad, wrap or bowl. Here's a tip by a $1 reusable bow this allows you to get free toppings u to 2 I believe. I tried Just Salad for the first time today and it was a good experience. I enjoyed the wide selection of ingredients and customization. I made my own salad, adding a double portion of chicken, which was very tender. I followed a southwestern theme for the meal and The only real negative for me was the amount of dressing. I asked to have it dressed, rather than having it on the side, but would do it on the side next time so I could control the amount a little better. Otherwise, the proportions were excellent. I ordered in advance and it was right on time. I had the napkins and utensil that I needed. I would order from here again if in the area (which is not often). read more

I want to start by asking Just Salad why they named themselves this as it is much more than just salad... this place has bowls, salads, toasts, wraps, smoothies (half off from 3-6pm) and juices! The prices are similar to those of bolay or vale, and the food is of similar quality for the most part. I got the foragers warm bowl, and replaced the tofu with buffalo chicken! The bowl was awesome it came with quinoa/farro, a kale mix, mushrooms, grape tomatoes and the best tasting goat CHE. It was enough for two meals to be honest and cost around $10. What was sad is that my friend got their avocado toast - which she did enjoy, but the photos of this product were on a ciabatta bread, however her food came out on what appeared to be Publix wheat bread, toasted (no offense to our beloved publix, but I felt a bit of false advertising here). Overall though, a healthy spot near campus, I would say it isn't as good as Vale for the price, but now that Grill Fresh is gone this is the spot for healthy stuff in walking distance. read more
