I've had some really great salads/wraps so far here and I'm excited to keep coming back and try more things. I love their tofu it's incredibly flavorful. One bad experience I had though was this week when my coworker and I both ordered salads for delivery. We both ordered bread and neither of us got it. My coworker got the wrong dressing and no dressings on the side which we also paid for. Another bigger disappointment was the flavor of the dressing in my salad. I decided to try the spicy avocado this time and it tasted and smelled extremely strong of garlic. And I love garlic but it tasted like they used 20 garlic cloves in it. I didn't even want to eat my lunch on my lunch break because that is wayyyyy too much. How am I supposed to interact with people at my job after eating that? I had to get other food to eat. I just think if you're going to have a dressing like that (unless this batch was prepared incorrectly? I've heard bad things about the staff) then just call it garlic dressing! Or breakup dressing, about to get fired dressing or stinky for days dressing. So people know what their getting into. It's only fair. read more

The portion sizes are good - usually two meals for me, and pretty delicious. I'm gluten free and haven't had any issues here, unlike other lunch spots. Their posted hours are rarely correct, they shut down online ordering on the app all the time, I've picked up salads with no protein several times, I've paid extra for additional ingredients that are not in my order almost every single time, they do not package to go food with utensils or napkins even when requested, on the counters drink dispensers are empty hours before close, napkin and utensil containers are empty hours before close. I really like Just Salad and I am super glad we have a new salad place in Midtown! Salad is my go to at least once or twice a week. I was super sad when Designer Greens closed, but now that we have Just Salad, my tummy gets full of amazing salad ingredients! My favorite salad to get is the Buffalo Chicken Salad! This is a salad that comes with romaine lettuce, celery, chicken, pepper jack cheese, and tortilla chips! They mix it in Buffalo Sauce and Ranch! They ask you if you want light dressing, regular, or extra dressing! I have been here 4 times now and I get this salad each time, so I would say I like it a lot. They have a really cool reusable bowl program here! If you buy the reusable bowl for $1 you get extra free toppings each time you go. You can have either 2 extra base toppings like corn, beans, tomatoes, mushrooms, or something along those lines or 1 premium topping like avocado, egg, or tofu. Or you can get an extra helping of meat. I usually go with the 2 extra base toppings and add corn and beans to my buffalo chicken salad and it is awesome! Just salad also has wraps, avocado toast, soups and smoothies. I have tried the toast, wraps, and smoothies and each are very delicious and have tons of flavor packed inside. Only downfall I have dealt with here is they have this awesome strawberry lemonade. The machine the lemonade comes out with does not work very well. I went to fill up my cup and the handle broke and strawberry lemonade came flying out of the machine. Thankfully they got it fixed but did have to empty it out. They offered me a soda or another drink, but it was not that bad. I will warn you though the price for the salads are a little higher than normal here in Gainesville. But do not let that scare you, the amount of food is a lot! I highly recommend that you visit Just Salad soon! JS opened right across from my office and I've been hoping for a healthier place to grab lunch so this was a perfect fit. Ordered a detox smoothie and I can't even drink it because of how bad it tastes. I tried to ask for something else and the workers refused in an extremely rude way. The smoothie was overpriced on top of this. Had to go to Publix after this to get another drink to pour into the smoothie to make it somewhat palatable. As a vegetarian, I was excited to try this new place. They only have tofu as a vegetarian protein option. I noticed that there was no tofu in my salad before I paid. I was then informed that they were out of tofu. That info would have been appreciated when I initially ordered the salad. I was offered any other protein to substitute it, but there are no other vegetarian options....in a salad restaurant....So I ended up having to pay way too much for a salad that didn't really make me less hungry. I LOVE this place!! I'm so happy a good "chipotle style" salad place came into town. There are sooooo many options to put in your salad and everything is extremely fresh. The salads are much bigger than you would expect and very filling. You do have to pay extra for premium sides, such as proteins, nuts, cheese, and avocado. Even their smoothies are delicious! Terrible service- made an online order and picked up. I checked order and one salad had no dressing (was already in my car) then ran in to let someone know. The person in charge said we're out of that dress that goes with the salad. Which I think should've been told or at least put in a suggested dressing. Finally! A salad place that is as flavorful as it is healthy. They don't use any fake ingredients in their food and it tastes amazing. Their smoothies are also a treat. I love how they have an option to purchase a reusable blue bowl for $1 and then you get an extra free premium topping (excluding the protein, thats an extra dollar) whenever you go back and use it. The only real downside to this place is how expensive it is. Most of the salads are over $8. My friend got the Smokehouse Steak Salad and I must say $11 for a salad is a bit pricey, but it was sooo good! My friend got full half way through the salad, so she had two meals out of it. As for the ambience, Just Salad is trending and clean. It is new, so that's expected, but it was really cute in my opinion. Salad bar options are great, when they are in stock. This place has great food, however the workers always seem like they hate their job and want to go home. Salad ingredients often run out and you never know if they are going to have what you want. I am not sure if there is a stocking problem or the workers are just lazy but either way this is a frequent problem that should be addressed. I first found out about just salad when I visited NYC in the winter; they too had great food but seemed to have staffing and stocking problems. Not the friendliest. Charged me 15-16 dollars for the Zoodles plate with meatballs. I initially described the plate indicating a zucchini noodles plate with beyond burger meatballs and is advertised as a keto bowl. The gentleman didn't know what I was talking about. After glancing over the overhead menu I found the zoodles plate which he then offered to me. On the menu it says it comes with meatballs but they didn't tell me the meatballs were an extra 3 dollars. When I opened the bowl all the ingredients were separate as if they were scooped and put into the plate. Cheese on one side, noodles on another, sauce another. I assumed the plate would be made ready to eat immediately. The place looks like it has lots of potential and other locations that I've seen online look great. I'm a huge fan of this new place right across from campus. We really needed a salad/wrap/toast place. They have a decent sized menu--I've been about 3 times since the opening and have ordered three different salads. My favorite is definitely the Thai chicken crunch, it's really filling as well for a salad (good portion sizes for the price). *they sell reusable bowls which can get you a discount when you bring it in for your next purchase (great way to eliminate waste) and also have a smoothie happy hour! One thing I will say--the smoothies are not amazing. I wish they had more flavors. There's only 4 and two of them are green smoothies. I went with the make your own salad and skipped all of the add-ons to keep it under that price point and it was an amazing, fresh, healthful, and filling salad! I went in today for Halloween dressed as a salad to get a free salad, as that was the deal that was advertised. My costume was homemade and they denied me because it wasn't good enough. Apparently earlier in the day people tried way less than I did but they still got a free salad. They clearly went past their quota of giving away free food and couldn't afford to give anymore away. It was completely unfair. They shouldn't offer the deal if they can't afford to give everyone a free salad throughout the day. Not to mention, this place is WAY overpriced for mediocre food. I would never eat here unless there was a good deal, which is why I went today. I left completely disappointed and I will NEVER be coming back. This place is so delicious. The atmosphere is so nice and clean and they are super fast with making your food. I have gotten the California Cobb Salad twice with kale instead of romaine and no almonds and it is fantastic. You get a lot of salad for what you pay and it is so yummy. Music is also great.
