While Door Dashing found this delicious smoothie place. When I went inside, the dining area was very spacious and clean. I was greeting and picked up my order because I ordered through the app. My smoothie was made easy, I ordered a Detox Island Smoothie. There are even options to add protein powder to your smoothie! So far my favorites are Beach Bum and Blimey Limey, but I have yet to try more. I came here for a late night smoothie and the biggest perk to this place is that they are open until midnight! A smoothie seems like the perfect option for the crazy heat we have been getting here. They had plenty of options to choose from, of which I got a berry smoothie with blueberries, acai, and other berries. There is only one size from what I could see and it is huge! I wish they made smaller sizes, because I definitely could not finish mine. The smoothie was pretty sweet but "berry" good! The music was a little loud for me, but it could be a good study spot if you don't mind some music since they have sandwiches, smoothies, wifi, and plenty of seating. I've never been able to finish one. They have a variety of flavors, including the classic combinations, aka my favorite of strawberry banana and protein add ons. But it's nothing out of the ordinary and prices are good for the size you get, around $6 just a smoothie. I sometimes get the jetty junior which is half the size and half the price. Tropical Smoothie is really more like a 3.5 star but I want to round up because while it's not the most glamorous it's still a solid choice for what it offers. The smoothies I've tried, which have been many, are all delicious! Note that while they are mostly made with fruits they are not all exactly healthy. If you are concerned about nutrition facts their website does an excellent job breaking each food item down. The flatbreads are what I recommend as they are simple and satisfying. Overall the smoothies come in a large size that could realistically be a meal in it of itself but couple a flatbread and chips and you've really got a meal that takes me back to the cramming for finals days. read more

I was excited to see there was one here. Excitement turned to disappointment. Ordered Spinach salad with Beyond Meat, fake chicken. Several pieces were hard as a rock, microwaved. I highly doubt that is how they are to be cooked, or at least let them thaw first. The cafe is a good size, lots of seating, free wifi, open 24/7, and it looked like it the way it needed renovation. (see picture of the booth seat, there is actually a hole the size of a golf ball) Booths were worn so bad it is hard to sit on it with shorts on without scratching your legs. Some tables had tape over the edges to keep them from falling apart. The staff was friendly. There is no club to join for any specials. When I asked about a text club, like the other stores, she said she did not know but would get the text number for me. She never did. Not sure if I would return. Granted, it can get pretty loud with the students and running blenders but the place is very close to my apartment and always has yummy food. My favorite drink to get while studying is the mocha madness with energizer. I swear that this beverage will work better than any coffee you've ever had. The mocha madness itself does not have that much caffeine in it so make sure to also ask for energizer. The energizer is extra and I'm not 100% sure what exactly it is, but it never fails to wake me up at 3AM. Also, disregard the hours on this Yelp. This location is open 24 hours. I've had friends who have studied here overnight. The workers also don't seem to mind if you connect tables for studying sessions if the place isn't too busy. I used to visit Tropical Smoothie frequently before it renovated, so it disappoints me that their hours have changed and they are no longer open all night. Even after renovations, the shop seems pretty identical to how it was before, just some new furniture was installed. Sadly, you will not be able to study here all night anymore! Just like any other smoothie place, their drinks are good, and they have a decent selection. I always get the island green or bahama mama, depending on if I want something more refreshing or more sweet. I also appreciate that they have coupons on various apps and coupon books that are distributed within the city. A normal smoothie costs around $5, but you can easily get half off with the coupons! This is a really reliable location if you're just trying to make a quick stop and grab a snack. They'll have your drink out within a few minutes. I come here for their smoothies and absolutely love their hours - usually open 24 hours. Sometimes it may take a lil bit for your smoothie to come out, but most of the time it is worth it. They are also receptive to you customizing your smoothie i.e. add cranberries, substitute chocolate for white chocolate, being generous in amount of ice they mix in, etc, so that is a plus. They have several paninis, wraps, and flatbreads that are low-calorie, healthy, inexpensive, and not too heavy. I got a huge wrap (it could easily be split into two or three meals) and a banana for around $7! They have a variety of smoothies, I've gotten them previously and love the mango and strawberry ones. I got the Baja Chicken wrap and was shocked at how big it was when I got it.
