this is the worst company. My home warranty sent them out to my home for my A/C unit. The gu insisted that my heater did not work as well. 1st bad sign because I had no problems with my heater and wouldve reported it if I did. 2nd thing is they insisted I needed 14 pounds of freon at $75 per lb and to pay 910 up front or no other work could be done. They then took a month to give report to Warranty company so they could auth other options. Then they told them that I needed 10 pounds at 70 per pound and noted the wrong freon type of R22 which is more expensive and on my unit it says in big print that it uses the cheaper updated freon 410A. The men who came were nice as most of them are but total RIP OFFS do not trust this company. read more

I'm so impressed by this company if I can give them 10 stars I would!!! I had them come out through my home owner's warranty as my rental property had an issue with the AC and the job was done so quickly. They handled everything so professionally, from evaluating the job to scheduling the work to be done by the technicians, to keeping me in the loop of the job progress to the completion of the job. They were very friendly, polite, honest and nice. I will definitely refer them to my family and friends. Going forward I will be using them for all my properties as well. Thank you once again!!! I suggest you all use this company as you won't be disappointed. read more

The two gentlemen, Robert and Aro were very pleasant. They came and took care of our air conditioning problem. Robert gave us a nice discount, thank you! Aro even gave my dog lovin' so I thought that was extra special. They took care of everything fast and efficiently and was extremely patient with all my questions! We are very happy and currently staying cool read more

The worst company. Referred to them via my AHS home warranty company. Have been out twice and have not addressed the issue. 3 days in with 100+ degree heat and they haven't done anything helpful. Second time around the technician said I had a thermostat issue despite the A/C having run for 12 hours straight and it still read 90 degree throughout my house. It doesn't take a genius to figure out the the thermostat was not the issue. Should change their name from "Just One Call" to "Just One of Many Calls"! Stay away. read more

They did a good job fixing our old central air conditioner that needs a new circuit board. They were on time, did a good job and explained the work they did clearly. No complaints. read more

Just One Call was a referral from American Home Shield for a second opinion on an air conditioning system that was not functioning as expected. The first company that I used stated that the system needed a new evaporator, replacing the duct work and replacing the heater chimney exhaust flow. Technician Eddie from Just One Call laid his hands on the duct work and coolant lines and did a temperature check on each of the room registers and declared that the system was working fine. Eddie did not test the condenser unit, but I do appreciate that he did not try and upsell me for a system that was in working order. Eddie did recommend some fixes that I can do myself including keeping doors and windows closed when air conditioning is running. It seems like a no-brainer, but my comment is that technician Eddie did not try and sell me something I did not need. Thank you. read more

Our air conditioning unit was not cooling so I decided to give Just One Call a try. I called them and received an appointment the next day. When the technicians arrived they were really polite and even wore feet covering before entering the house. They quickly identified that the issue was due to lack of freon in the main ac unit outside. They gave us a good deal on the freon refill and our air conditioner is now working better than ever. Will definitely be using this company in the future. read more

Update: I got my refund but im not happy how it was handled. I'm very frustrated with this company. I've been waiting for a call back from the business office manager for over 2 weeks in regards to a refund they owe me. I call twice a week on Mondays and Wednesdays and I'm always told either the person is not in the office or is in a meeting and will call me back to confirm I will be getting my money back. This morning of course I was told the same thing, "the notes say you will be getting your money back and the business office manager will be calling you" I told her I've been patient and I've been told the same thing over and over. This started on July 20th when the promised me they would not cash one of the checks if AHS drafts money from my account for the service call and they receive the money. They did get it from AHS and still cashed the check... read more

Very professional company, with skilled technicians. I'd like to say thank you so much to Ash for all the help and the professionalism!

We are on our 3rd HVAC company trying to get an AC issue resolved. We are in SoCal experiencing 105 degree weather with an AC unit that is not working. Just One Call should have been the first company our home warranty company sent. They are excellent. Roland was the technician. He asked a few questions and then went to work. He went into our attic and also inspected the AC unit and discovered multiple issues that had been previously overlooked. They were stunned to learn no one had done these simple inspections. Turns out (before we moved in) there was some old pest damage in the drainage line and there was a problem with a missing part and freon. While they were here, the unit went from putting out nearly 80 degree air to 50 degrees. There may be other issues (insulation), as this is a 1924 bungalow, but if so, this is about the house and not their work. read more

I was hesitant about using this company after reading some of their mixed reviews, but after I called them they managed to give me a same day schedule. I spoke with David about my AC unit and he got me scheduled for the same day for a tech to look at my unit. The tech fixed my problem but I'm giving them a 4 star because they were about 40 minutes late to the appointment. Technician Armen came to my rescue, answered all my questions and concerns, and most importantly got my ac unit back up again. I will call them again for any ac work. read more

Just One Call Tech. said I need to change out my AC unit. The Fidelity Home Warranty approved the change and assigned Just One Call. It is a nightmare services, much headache with their services. It look 4 appointments to have the installation done. The first appointment I waited all day, called them and they never show up. The second appointment failed again; excused that they had the truck broke down and need parts, etc. Third and fourth appointments the technician unable to make the unit working. Finally they had to send a Senior Technician to get the job done. Poor communication and bad services. I was extremely tired and wish I don't have Just One Call do the job. It costs a lot of money and headaches; plus I asked for a warranty for their services, they can not give me any warranty. They suggested that I continue buying the insurance??????? They are very good with collecting the money; first I had to pay 25% down before they even start the job. Then the manager called to collect the balance before the AC working??? I hope the Home Owner Insurance like AHS or FNHW stop using this company. They gave me some discount for their lousy services and required that I wrote the yelp review. I had to be honest and wrote the fact! read more

Great service! Our air conditioner wasn't working and Just One Call was recommended. Indeed, just one call and they showed up right on time. The friendly service technician, Armen, also gave us a free thermostat and repaired the hole in the wall for free! Good thing they have a repair kit. I will call this company again in the future in case my unit breaks down and requires another repair. UPDATE: My original review was great, but after the technician left, my air conditioning died again. So forget Just One Call, I had to make two calls. The second technician who came actually knows what he's doing and fixed the problem (the real problem). read more

Don't call them for air condition issue, they are not honest, the guy charged me so many lbs of freon on an air conditioner that has actually has leakage. It was not working again after few months and I had to have another company to come and that guy told me that it was unreasonable for the previous company to put so much Freon, he should know better that I was leaking or not working probably and not blindly put in so much Freon. I tried to call just one call again and left few messages and no one ever call back . read more

Greg was our tech and he was great! He called ahead and confirmed the appointment. He cleaned the unit, balanced the coolant levels in the AC unit, replaced the filter and installed a new Nest thermostat! He was very helpful in explaining how Nest worked and even helped set up the app on my phone! Definitely recommend Just One Call!!! read more

I had my repair done by Arsen and his partner a few days ago, and they were very timely, efficient, and friendly. They were able to identify the problem right away. Great service! I would definitely recommend this company and these two technicians to anyone in need of HVAC service or repair. read more

In the heat of summer, in triple digit heat the last thing you want is your A/C to go out. Ours did and 'Just One Call' came to the rescue! Ray was professional and got the job done. He diagnosed the problem and was quick to fix it. He had parts available and worked hard to get us cooled off. We appreciated his friendliness and willingness to give us maintenance tips for our unit. We would call them again for any other A/C problems. read more

Just had a great experience with Just One Call. On the hottest night of the year, my AC quit working in the middle of the night. I set up a service request the following morning and AHS provided expedited service (which was actually the next day due to the heatwave); Just One Call was my contractor. Armen called to let me know he was 10 minutes out and had the problem diagnosed, explained and repaired w/in 20 minutes. My service valve was leaking and my freon was empty, thus causing the unit to shut down. Very courteous, knowledgeable and friendly. I'm happy with the service and will probably contact them annually for check up/service before the hot season. read more

Ironic name for this company...it's taken us over 10 calls to get them to reach someone who is supposed to help us complete this job! We have a leak from our a/c that is flooding into our basement and technician came out to take a look. Technician wouldn't explain the problem to me and said to contact company manager, Arthur. I called once a day for 3 days in a row trying to reach Arthur but he was always unavailable and didn't return calls. I finally reached him 5 days after technician came out and he stated their service notes were incomplete and he isn't sure what needs to be done. Ok, so if they don't want to do this job, just let us know! In the meantime our stuff in storage in the basement is being damaged by the leak! Not to mention, half of the people in the office were very rude and just wanted off the phone! To be fair, some of the ladies who answer the phone were polite and helpful...I just couldn't reach Arthur and he didn't follow up on my messages or the job, in general. read more

Arthur, I see your response and that is a bunch of BS.. you're techs are shady then if you are stating otherwise because what you stated is not what they were communicating to us that day. So you should investigate them and put hidden cameras in their uniforms because they NEVER once explained to me what the problem was in the first place. Secondly, if you claim that we know ahead of time why didn't the techs tell us straight out "we take these forms of payments, cash, check, credit cards" as you stated below? And most importantly that there is an extra charge to use credit cards? Your techs told my dad "they" WANTED cash so don't turn this around on US, you are unethical and unprofessional to try to twist this detail on us, because my dad NEVER preferred to pay cash like I explained below, he didn't even have cash on him. How are you going to have the audacity to say he chose to use cash when he didn't have any on him? And to threaten us to have him hurry back from the bank within 10 minutes or else you would have the techs undue the work really? That's pretty pathetic and sad of your company to handle business this way. Also your own techs told us that we were the LAST customers (last work order) of the day so don't give me that BS of an excuse to have treated us this way and tell us that they had to get to another job. Again this is pretty pathetic to use as an excuse for the company's behavior. Also the trash left in the back was also your techs equipment wrapping, you guys brought that to use on the work so how can you tell me this is our responsibility to pick up? Unbelievable and unprofessional. People can see this. read more

Our AC decided to go out during the hottest week in August. We figured that we probably were going to need a new air conditioner, due to no air blowing out of the vents what so ever. Thankfully Armen came out and he quickly solved the problem and we didn't end up having to buy a new AC. Armen was very helpful, efficient, and nice. Helped us out tremendously and I highly recommend giving him a call if you are looking for someone who is professional and gets the job done. read more

Thank you guys for fixing my AC. During this hot days it's very important to have a good working AC especially when there is a 2,5 years old baby in a house. "Just One Call" - that says everything!!! After just one call this guys scheduled an appointment for the same day and all works got done the same day. They showed even 15 min earlier, they worked very professional and were extremely polite and nice. You guys deserve 5 stars!!! I would definitely recommend this guys to everybody!!! This was my first time making a service request from AHS for my air conditioner. Just One Call responded immediately considering the heat wave we are having. They gave me a four hour window, but they were able to come earlier than expected which was great! Robert and his partner arrived and they were very professional. Robert went straight to my AC unit and was working right on it. Robert noted is findings and said that he will contact AHS. I gave Robert a five start rating because he was very professional and honest in his reviews. Just One Call is lucky to have Robert working for them. read more

After I wrote the original review, the Montclair city engineer came out and inspected the work that was done. He identified 6 items that he said were not normal and that needed to be corrected before the city will sign off on the Permit taken out for the work. Now that they have gotten their money from me and from the Home Warranty company, I have had the hardest time getting this company to follow through and correct the things listed by the City of Montclair as problems. Even though I have been as cooperative as I can, David has not returned calls and has used the receptionist to avoid speaking with me. I have had to enlist the assistance of the Home Warranty company at this point. A more apt name for this company is Just 10 or More Calls" because that's how many times I have had to contact them -- so far. I may have to take legal action before this is fully resolved .I will update when this has been resolved. read more

Our AC unit was not working and living in Southern Ca this time of year that means torture. I just had Angel and Garik came over to service my ac today. They did a great job servicing my units and told me what is needed to look into to make sure the AC run efficiently. These guys are fast and courteous. Angel also helped me find out a condensation drainage pipe clogging issue. This clogged pipe was overlooked by the plumber and caused water back flowing into one of the rooms. We could find out the source of the leakage in many attempts. I couldn't be happier after they service my AC units. read more

I feel that I should revise my yelp from 7-19-16. Since then some (unknown to me) facts about the air conditioning system have come to light. The system had restrictions in the registers that had caused it to not operate properly once it had been repaired. This was not the fault of Just one call. I feel repair cost were expensive, however this is an issue I have with American Home Shield and not Just One Call. Talk to David if you can, he is very helpful and can get things done. The old HVAC unit needed to be replaced - the warranty company sent Just One Call. Just One Call kept the warranty company focused which moved the replacement along.
