The line can stretch into the parking lot weekend mornings, but if you call ahead they're more than happy to put your name on the waiting list. Doing this we've never waited more than 10 minutes for a table once we arrived. They have a standard menu of eggs, omelets, pancakes, etc., as well as a specials menu that changes weekly. They also serve lo-carb bread and are more than happy to substitute a huge fresh fruit salad for fried potatoes or hash browns. If you're fortunate enough to go there when the eggs Benedict are the special you are a lucky soul indeed. I've told them a number of times that they should add them to the regular menu. The only downside is that it is quite small, and the tables are packed in there. When it's heaving with folks, which it always is when I'm there, it can be hard to maneuver through the tables to get to your spot. But it most definitely is worth every effort. read more

Holy Yum! Before our trip to Yosemite, we stopped here to pick up some fuel for the soul. Good thing we did, because this place is perfect! Cozy, home-town feel - when you walk in you're immediately welcomed by some real good local folk. Dining area gets full quick, so come early for breakfast and brunch. Portions are HUGE and all dishes come with toast or biscuits. Bottomless cups of coffee and affordable pricing made this one of the best breakfast spots I visited while I was in CA. Driving down streets of chain restaurants, we were glad to find this local joint. Upon entering, we already sensed the homey vibe from the diner decor and laughing staff. Stopped by here because I've been wanting to try out a new breakfast spot for the longest time. I was impressed! Our drinks were refilled promptly, the food was hot and tasty, we never had to ask for anything, she checked on us frequently but not so much that it was annoying, and she brought our tab when it was obvious that it was the time to do so. Found this place via yelp, while driving back to LA from San Panchito. WARNING! This is a very popular place so be prepared to wait to be seated. My partner had the Belgian waffle combo and I had the Strawberry Pancake combo. The waffle was okay, your typical cakey-kind of waffle, we both like our waffles with a bit of outer crunch. Sausage was good, bacon was thick sliced and well cooked. I like my bacon crispy, my guy likes it chewy, the bacon here was in between, with crispy ends but some chew in the center. Before ordering my pancakes I asked if the strawberry pancakes are topped with fresh strawberries and our server explained that the berries are "fresh frozen in a syrup," she also said they had fresh berries, but it would cost a $1 extra. I opted for the fresh berries. However, when my order arrived the berries did not look FRESH, they looked like processed berries, kind of opaque and not a vibrant red. I was considering sending my order back when I decided to taste the berries, I must admit that although they do look like they had been sitting inside of some sort of syrup or preservative, they did not taste like it. The berries were actually good, not frozen, but not fresh, were lightly sweet and had a good texture. The pancakes are served crowned with light whip cream, perfectly pre-buttered and combined with the berries it was pure perfection. I didn't even need syrup and I ALWAYS have to have my pancakes with syrup. The staff is friendly and professional. They kept our coffee consistently refreshed. Btw: the coffee is good and piping hot. The interior is a bit rustic and is decorated with some interesting, adorable and funny signs all throughout the establishment. I like the fact that you can see over the counter and into the kitchen, seeing the cooks in action. But today I tried the biscuit sandwich and a side of hash-browns, which I split with my boyfriend since we knew it would be a large portion of food. It was very good. They have a decent gravy and some tasty fluffy biscuits. Our friend ordered the Club Sandwich which he said was good but could use some work. All the components were there but the construction just didn't bring it together. And he specifically told me to say that the fries were nice and crispy with good size amount. There is so much good to say about Jus' Jo's. The waitresses are friendly and attentive, the owner is just as friendly and always comes by to make sure we are comfortable and happy with our food. The prices are more than reasonable - particularly when you consider the size portions. I eat as much as I can and still take half of it home. But none of this is why Jus' Jo's is the only place that I eat breakfast at. It is the OMG delicious food. Today I had the Spanish omelet - one of my 15 or so favorites. (Although - to be honest - every time I try something new it makes it on my favorites list) The Spanish sauce was just spicy enough without burning my mouth. The hash browns were perfect, crispy on the outside soft and flavorful on the inside. I do not get toast because I prefer to share my daughter's biscuits and gravy - which are absolutely awesome and so generously portioned that, even with both of us eating on them, we take some home. We have been searching for good breakfast places, and had BJ's Kountry Kitchen the week prior, where I had an almost identical order of BJ's Special Omelet, with Kountry Potatoes and a biscuit. Here it was Jo's Special Omelet with Jo's Tators and a biscuit. The omelets had about the same ingredients. Frankly, I found that I liked the BJ's omelet better, which was strange because Jo's omelet was fluffier and seemed to have higher quality or fresher ingredients. But Jo's still made a fair omelet; I'd take it over anything on Denny's menu any day of the week. Like every other Country Kitchen and Country Junction I've been to in the area, cheese was a major player on the omelet, to the point of having the unusual want of less cheese. The service was various. There were at least three servers that attended to us over the course of our visit, but only one of them seemed genuinely friendly. They were spotty on the basics. They brought coffee but no creamer, and no offer of it. Eventually a busboy came over and asked if we wanted creamer, but I wondered if it was because he heard me mentioning the situation to my wife. Then there were times when one of the waitresses would be by the table and apparently visually assessing whether there was anything we needed, but completely misses the fact that my coffee is almost out. You shouldn't have to ask for a refill on coffee at a breakfast place. However, Jo's biscuits completely redeemed them. Light and fluffy, perfectly formed. Exactly what biscuits are supposed to be, and definitely better than BJ's or any other biscuits I've had locally. This place is a great choice for breakfast in Fresno. Nothing too earth shattering on the menu, but I'd say it's a much better choice than Denny's. I had a linguica omelet and added mushrooms and onions with the taters (home fries) and biscuits and gravy. Everything was pretty good, but the biscuits and gravy were some of the best I've had. There could have been more sausage in the gravy, but the biscuits themselves were airy and light. Definitely unexpected. To compare this to other places: better than Denny's, not as good as Mimi's Cafe breakfast and not in the same league as Las Vegas' Hash House A Go Go, but if your in the "No" (Fresno that is) it's a good choice.
