My children love coming here. They have very different ideas of fun and both always have plenty of games they love to play. Gloryo is such a wonderful employee. He helped me zero out our cards of tokens (we get the cards as gifts so we always have a stack of cards and you unfortunately cannot combine tokens. Only tickets) Gloryo was so great with my kids engaging with them and talking to them about the different games and when it came time to cashing in their tickets they were having a hard time deciding which toys to pick so Gloryo make suggestions and they absolutely loved his ideas. Realistic rating is a 3.5. A fairly standard mall arcade, Jungle Fun Island provides a little bit of a break in the Ala Moana center when shopping. Great for kids, the arcade has a variety of ticket-winning games and standard arcade games. The staff is pretty helpful and nice but don't expect too much in machine generosity. Sometimes you win, mostly the arm loses grip. But that's to be expected. There does seem to be a large variance in game prices though, with some just a bit expensive and some having you scratch your head. Don't expect deals here but be realistic about what it costs to play games here and you'll be ok. read more

The arcade alone is clean, spacious not to crowded.. My daughter always love to play in this place whenever we go to ala moana. The most disappointing part is that the cashier lady gave me a change of a counterfeit bill of $20. She even grabbed the change from the back (maybe) from their office. It's middle name is FUN...nuff said! Okay I got more lol and it's not just for kids I certainly go here too! Though I haven't been here for awhile I'm so delighted that's it's still here. For a small place they do pack in a great selection of games for all ages and I do love the varieties of items you can redeem your points for prizes unlike some places where you need several visits to do so. I've taken visiting friends with and without kids and we just hang out since it's so conveniently centrally located in the mall. Each try at the claw machine appears to teeter on the pricier side, but my bf and I managed to snag four goodies: a larger Squishmallow plush and three smaller, plush keychains. Hubby and daughter wanted to come here to play games. It's the same concept as any other arcade place. You basically load your players card with money and then you would just swipe to play games. My daughter was lucky because her daddy won her a huge rainbow bear. They like to play crane games. The inside was pretty big. Many games to play. However, this place was packed on a Friday afternoon. It was getting a little too crowded. I don't like crowded spaces. This is located inside Ala Moana on the first floor across from the ABC store. My son and nephew love this place. Call me an old man... but in my day we went to the arcade and developed skillz so we would get hours (ok maybe 10 to 20 minutes) of entertainment on a quarter. Now you get a card and swipe away on games of chance that lasts 5 seconds. I think Vegas funds these new arcades to condition our youth for a a future of gambling. Ok. Rant over. This is your typical modern day arcade. Charge your card up. Swipe on ticket games. Redeem for crap prizes. Why 3 stars - well kids like this place but it's nothing special as far as arcades go. They (and I guess myself included) like the wizard of Oz quarter slide game. There's something addicting to watching piles of quarters teetering on the edge. Pro tip - when picking where to waste your money check the bonus gauge on the machine - it goes up with each credit spent and then gives you a random amount of extra credits after it hits a level. Do NOT play the claw machines here. I spent $50 and there was no pay out. I set the claw above the center of gravity every time. These types of machines are supposed to grip stronger every once in a while so that a toy can be won. Playing over 50 times with no pay out is not acceptable. The toys in there probably cost them $2. Giving 1 star because (I have to and) the people working there were extremely nice and friendly. read more

Meh. Went there last week with my nephew. Game selection kinda mediocre, multiple games were not in service at the time. For the $40-100 you will probably spend there I was kinda disappointed. Over all these years visiting Ala Moana, I never had a reason or desire to enter Jungle Fun, and whatever it may have been called before. This time, I was on a daddy-daughter date, and she couldn't have been more ecstatic. Nothing melts a daddy's heart faster than seeing his toddlers eyes light up with excitement. I'm old school, so when seeing how this place works, it took me by surprise. Instead of real money in machines (that's taking it waaaay back), or in-house tokens like I'm used to, they have gone high tech- and went to a credit card type deal. You purchase a card, then proceed to put money into it. When you want to play a game, you swipe your card. I noticed this at the carnival this and last year as well. Makes me feel super old! I do like that technology though, keeps my pockets from being full of dirty coins. There were still some games that took tokens, so that was sorta weird having to mix the two different payment platforms. Not a big deal though, main thing was my girl was having a blast. There was a merry-go-round carousel in the center, which was just small enough for toddlers. There are a large amount of crane/claw games, as well as many games that spit out tickets. In the back was a handful of games more geared for teenagers, as well as air hockey. We played for a good 30 minutes or so, and I only spent $20. Within those 30 min, we were able to amass a fair amount of tickets. I think this place is pretty loose on its ticket giving, so that allows you to get more/better prizes. I will 1000% be back, because I know there is no way my toddler will forget this place, and from now on anytime we go to Ala Moana, she will be asking to go play. And I will gladly do so. read more

I've been taking my kids to jungle fun since my oldest was 3 years old. The games were great and still are. Before covid the employees were really friendly and nice. Since they have reopened they have new faces and they are not as friendly and inviting. The prizes are ok. We win a lot of tickets so I don't mind if they break fast but for some who don't win a lot of tickets i don't know if I would say it's worth it. This place is so rigged. Spent $100 just for the claw machines to pick up prizes but drop them at the very next second. I worked at an arcade before and I know they set it to where the claw doesn't fully grab and loosens up right before the claw moves to the drop hole. Take my advice and don't come here with your kids. read more

We never even had a chance to play and the game debited $50 from my video game card, the manager refused to refund my card for the video game. She said the game cost $11 per credit. How it took $50 from my card I do not know. We paid $50 not to play 1 game. The manager said she was the final say, no one else to speak to, and I was the only person who could not figure out the game. She was belittling and un helpful. Felt like I was being ripped off at gun point. I've never been to a video game store who would not refund when the game was not working property, the game did not work. She said it was virtual and you move the objects with your hands. We were trying to move the objects with our hands and it did not work. Ridiculous, I do not recommend supporting this establishment. The manager called me petty for asking for a refund when the game did not work. $50 spent in 1 minute, the game did not work and I'm petty. This establishment is petty. We love Jungle Fun! With this whole COVID 2020 and kids being home from school and driving us parents off the walls it sure does help burn some energy for the little ones. The workers are all very nice especially Jeena, brent, and swin . The prices for games are less than other arcades and you get the best of kid games and young adult-adult games. So everyone can have fun! They also have the jungle fun concert which my daughter and all the little kids seem to really enjoy.This place has been here since forever and I hope to see it here for a longer time. Took my daughter here for the first time and wow! I used to always walk past this place thinking it's not up to par with Dave and Busters & Chuck E Cheese's, but my daughter kept begging for us to try it out. It did not disappoint. I recommend putting $30+ for your first card, because then you'd get a VIP card and games are a bit cheaper. The games here are so fun, not just for little kids! I tried my best trying to win a lot of tickets for my daughter. We had a great time! As for the prizes, they were way better than the selection at Chuck E's. They're toys that your keiki would actually use and play with. Save up and you can actually use your tickets for even cooler prizes like a toddler bed! Haha. I was actually very impressed with what my daughter was able to get with $30 on her token card and only about 600-800 tickets. If I can remember, she couldn't get very much at chuck e's and those toys weren't so great either. Plus, while choosing prizes there's a screen that tells you how many tickets you have left :). Also TIP: bring your own bag for prizes. Unless you want to use 15 of your tickets to get a plastic bag. Okay I have to update this review since this place was renovated. The new look was NOT an improvement, the layout is horrible, and they removed Gigi the giraffe. If you're a person of color, I do not recommend coming here with your children. My baby LOVES jungle fun so we spend a good $50-$75 each visit. Our recent visit was very uncomfortable! During the whole time we were there my bf & I notice one of the workers was ALWAYS near us. THEN when we were ready to redeem tickets the same associate decided to hang out up front where the prizes were BUT not help the other associates assist with redemption from guest and ourselves. So we realized that man was literally following us the whole time we were in there. I kindly asked the associate that was assisting me if that guy was the manager or something, He responded with irritation that he was the tech, and answered "I am the assistant manager" So I said great and expressed how it was uncomfortable and unexceptional for that tech to be watching us the whole time we were there and I asked for his name, the assistant manager (Riku) said he wasn't able to disclose any info to me, BUT the tech yelled out "WASSUP" so I said "what's your name" he yelled back "Mike" then I kindly said thank you and left. Jungle Fun Corp team please retrain, or find new employees who will be passionate about their job. They work with children and families. They were more focus on following a black guy with a family than actually look out for sick perverts that roam jungle fun. We spend our money for our children to enjoy a safe and fun environment. NO ONE STOPPED us. You could've stopped us before we came in or even paid for more games. You waited until 8 of us paid for this last game then kick us out. Called location to ask about cleanliness and upkeep of the arcade and the woman (Gina) on the phone was more than helpful( I believe she is the manager). I recently took my kids to Jungle Fun after not going there for a longtime since COVID. I've noticed that there is a new manager. She was super helpful and was also very informative when it came to the best value. Her customer service skills were on point which is very rare for this day and age. When customer service is at its all time low..it's so refreshing to experience excellent customer service. Although there weren't many customers in the place and that must be hard for them revenue wise, it made me feel more safe having my children there and more games were in readily available for them to play. read more

My kids love it here and I did too when I was a little kid. I remember I use to camp in the play put all day til they closed with my brother. Went to Oahu for a mini vacation recently and wanted to take my daughter to Jungle Fun (where I went as a kid). Called and spoke to the manager Gina (?) to see what the hours were and covid guidelines. She was so kind and explained everything so well even told us the best deals and how to maximize our money with the VIP cards! When we got there the guy at the register (Swim(?)) was super helpful (we didn't know where to purchase a vip it's not an option at the kiosk). The games were fun and the redemption prizes were pretty cool! Definitely going to make it a stop in when returning to Oahu! I did, but I beat it. I won 1 bird here. Tonight it was the first try and I got it. I won't say how many times we tried on previous visits. You have to purchase a card like Dave and Busters. Every time we visit Honolulu our kids must visit Jungle Fun.... (sigh). I didn't know until now that they run an Animal Kaiser tournament each saturday at 11AM. Animal Kaiser is a video game which gives a trading card each time it is played. That trading card is inserted into the game machine to activate certain player creatures and various abilities/powers for use in the game. Kids come in with note books full of many card like some collect base ball cards? Anyways - I remind folks to get their VIP card. It enables discounted credit purchase... and it seems every EASTER they run a special with deeply discounted credits being available!
