I play all three of these games
    Angel H.

I live in town, so I don't come to Pearlridge often. However, when I do I stop by Tilt from time to time. I love to play games. This place is kind of small, but they have great games. As with all game places, it can get kind of pricey. I love giving arcades all my coins, lol. My favorite games are the coins push ones. They have about three of them here. Some of the other games that I like to play are Super Spin and Skee Ball. They even have the Water Game like at the carnivals.

Small arcade tucked away in Uptown Pearlridge at the back of the food court. You can access the arcade from the parking lot coming in through a door on the side also. There's not much and is more geared toward younger kids but it passes the time and the prizes are not bad either. Tons of old school games, coin games, racing and giant claw games with huge prizes. My favorite games are down the clown and skeeze ball. It's was pretty empty when we went to visit and were just walking through but I shot some photos to post for Yelp. They have a token machine to exchange your dollars near the prize counter and restrooms are in the food court leaving Tilt.

My daughter and hubby are gamers lol! They love to go places like this where they have games. They truly enjoyed playing games here playing the crane machines. Cost money to play but if you have a card, you can load it with money by swiping it through the machine kiosk. The inside was fairly small which you can only fit so many people inside. There was only one guy working the counter. Kind of a negative when there's a line of people behind you. I didn't want to stay too long as it was getting crowded inside. A definite plus when you have kids. Bring them here! A place for fun with the family.

This NEW TILT in (lower) Pearl Ridge located across Jeans warehouse, next to Expressions. I think there was A Sanrio there before. The upgraded Arcade games are awesome, though a bit pricey but WORTH IT. Just seeing how my 3 year old grandson enjoy himself and dance to the music of the animated interaction games like Mario's haunted Mansion makes it worth every penny. The tickets earned from those games can be used towards prizes. They still need to improve that part, but they have these little Fidgets (60 tickets) that are perfect for little fingers and my Grandson loves it, he's always playing with it. So well Worth it...

Im old school, but after all these years, I still got it!

TILT---MRC=3% Does anyone still remember what TILT was? Them pinball machines right? When you rock the pinball machine hard enough to cheat the ball into rolling a certain way? At least thats the way I remember, ironically, theres no pinball machines here or any game where the exploiting concept is simulated, however, there are other things that ARE being tilted lol. The whole convert real money into fake money is nothing like the old arcades and the fun doesn't last as long as back in the day either. Instead its easy to blow through your digital currency when you actually think about how much each game or "attempt" to win at some of these games is. Set a limit and be done with it or burn a hole in your wallet in a few minutes, your choice! So there's 2 locations of TILT at Pearlridge Shopping center one is in Phase 1/Uptown/Mauka, first floor just between the Applebees and Food Court. The other is located 2nd floor of Phase 2/Downtown/Wai Makai. For simplicity and sanitys sake (I dont even know why they keep changing the name of the places!) I'll just refer to both as location 1 and 2 and list what I observed! Location 1: Smaller, feels like a cramped damp basement! Darker, not as lit in back area (Teens smooching in dark corners) More Arcade Type Video Games Odd Smells More Ride type games Close to Exits, Parking Right next to Restroom and Food Court Prize exchange mediocre (Nephews own words not mine! "sucky these prizes") Winning Ratio, not rigged and not too bad, see pic. Location 2: Bigger and Taller Brighter, more Lit Bigger Machines Skee Ball and Basketball More Co op and multiplayer games (there was a VR game that was drawing a crowd of kids squealing in excitement) Moderate walking from Exit and Parking Restrooms somewhat close Better Prize Redemptions Winning Ratio, Losing more than winning I miss the old Tilts and Arcades, but this is still better than nothing. I dont see this as a month thing, or everytime were in the mall kinda thing, maybe more seasonal or special occasion. Although we went to both, It kinda feels like half the fun is missing or something when you are at one, and if theres anything being tilted besides the cost to fun ratio, its my head trying to figure out why this place is split in two!

As a child I remember this place as a game room. Took a look recently and half the games are casino like slot machines. They take up half the game space. The other half were a mix of traditional games and children games. While I was there had more elderly people playing those slot like machines then teenagers playing the games. I would have never have thought that an arcade for teenagers has now been replaced with arcades for seniors in Hawaii. Bad part is all the seniors that hop on planes to play slot games in Vegas can just stay in Hawaii to play slots. Vegas will missing out on all that money.

Tilt is perfect for kids of all ages! They just opened a NEW TILT at the old Foot Action next to Journey in Pearlridge by Sears side. Love the new location!! My daughter went ape shhh in there!!

This review is for the new tilt on sears side. Fun small gaming arcade for kids to play at. Good place to pass time Maybe before or after a movie or dinner. Today we went to pass time and decided to play some games, one employee was out for about 10 mins then disappeared. I wanted to ask him why my card showed that I didn't have any tickets because we've been here before but couldn't find an employee. I waited by the counter for an employee for 5 mins but no one came out so I continued to play games for another 20 mins and when I was done no one was there. Left and went to grab food upstairs real quick before leaving and passed by and still no one there! Not sure if they're allowed to leave the counter for that long but I doubt that's acceptable.

    Won 1000 tickets!!!! 1st try :)

Ask the Community - Tilt Pearlridge

Anyone know if we can keep the balls with the tickets or do we have to redeem them?

You can keep the ball or redeem it for tickets.

Does the arcade have a game called Wangan Maximum tune 5?

Hi Sean, we don't have this game but we do have Initial D 4.

Does the tilt downtown Pearlridge still have the Wizard of OZ GAME? If so does anyone want two complete sets?

Yes, our downtown location does have the Wizard of Oz game and at this time we are not interested in purchasing any more sets.

Food was also soft/juicy. Tried everything from the 3 Meat Plate (brisket, sausage [weekends only], pulled pork, with mac & cheese/rice), loaded tots with pulled pork, the brisket chili, pulled pork sliders, shave ice. If there is anything you should try, I really liked the BRISKET, SAUSAGE (weekends only), the BRISKET CHILI, SHAVE ICE. Its worth mentioning the loaded tots were all crispy and delicious down to the last bite. The meat/food taste was just right with the amount of flavoring, spice, and texture. To level/change up the taste, you can also use the delicious sauces and if you had to pick any, pick the Honey Mustard one & Spicy (which was barely spicy). The shave ice is really good too because the ice is soft like biting into a cold cloud. The flavors are limited but you still find at least 2 good flavors (all you really need). Cashier was very nice with typical take our service. I tried other highly rated BBQ places in town which I found food to be over seasoned/salty or too spicy. This place is just right for everything. Food area is in tropics mini golf and you can get food without playing any golf. If you on the sidewalk passing it, you can smell the cooking. A hidden gem in Aiea for food and/or dessert. Located at 4510 Salt Lake Blvd, in Stadium Mall shopping center which is Diamond Head of Aloha Stadium. It has plenty of free parking. Hours vary depending on the day due to ice hockey team practices, their games and skating lessons. Sometimes rink is closed for a week to two weeks for maintenance so be sure to check website first. Saturday hours are 10:00 am - 4:00 pm then close down and reopen at 5:00ish for the evening customers. Ticket prices are reasonable at $18 for all ages and include the skates. Must bring own socks. If you are not skating and merely a chaperone for young keiki, I didn't get charged. No outside food or flasks allowed. We were there Saturday morning and staff handing out the skates were quick and efficient so it went fast. You just tell them your size shoe and they're back in a flash with the skates. Enough tables and stools to sit down to put on skates. There's also aluminum bleachers on one side for onlookers. But bleachers are cold on your okole so maybe sit on your sweater? A fun live deejay keeps the music going entire time with jokes and other information. Kids and adults enjoy a cordoned off area with "walkers" to hold onto and push yourself around a small area to get the hang of it. Venturing out to the open larger part of rink you can clutch onto rails as you walk around or practice your spins in the middle of rink. There are two staff skate patrollers to enforce rules for the safety of others and they are very good about it and kind. Things like not holding hands in large groups - only a couple are allowed - no holding phones in hands to take pictures while on ice, no carrying of children on the ice, no jumping or racing allowed. Toward end of morning session the deejay turned off majority of lights and disco ball lit up to make it fun! How the kids screamed with glee when this happened. Then they do a limbo contest and the kids line up trying their best to skate under a stick as it gets lower and lower. No prizes given just the fun of participating! Onto the concession. Very nice staff working this area. Standard food like nachos, saimin, pizza and bottled water, hot chocolate available. Not real pricey and it's good to take a break then back to the ice. I noticed many kids not wearing warm items- shorts and tshirts - but evidently all the skating around gets them hot so they don't feel the cold at all. Onlookers beware it's like 40 degrees inside so I dressed warmly. A Pro Shop is available for gloves, hats, skates and other paraphernalia. Lose one star due to employee who wasn't very nice when I bought gloves for granddaughter but didn't fit her so went back right away to exchange and she wouldn't let me. Tersely said "no returns!" It's not like we wore them all day then tried to return. Just wanted to exchange within a couple of minutes of buying for larger pair. That being said I didn't argue, just paid the $6 for another pair. Bathrooms were roomy and clean with padded floors so you could walk in with skates on. Oh and one last thing, if you leave the rink they won't let you come back in without paying. You'll have to buy another ticket. This is to prevent people from buying cheaper or other food outside then returning. They want to keep their concession open so it makes total business sense. Grandparents enjoy babysitting because kids are on ice entire time and you can just watch them with a nice cup of hot chocolate! When the deejay announces they are closing up, there's a mad dash to return skates but all you have to do is plop them down on the counter- no need sign anything or check out with staff. Easy peasy!

If you decide to come back on your own, make sure you keep the play card. It costs money to get a new card. Their pricing for parties is not unreasonable. I'd consider this as a spot for kids party!

He'll even participate and set up a booth at the conventions or expos if he can, like Kawaii Kon, Comic Con, Hawaii's Collector's Expo, and Collector Megalopolis (hosted in the Pearlridge Malls)! Talk about nostalgic! He has pretty much anything and everything you could think of if you're looking for old retro games and consoles! You name it, he's probably got it! We went there looking for a bunch of PS2 games last Saturday around lunchtime. I think we spent almost a whole hour at his tent just finding a whole bunch of games! He's kind and thorough to check to make sure the games are in good playable condition and makes sure the controllers and consoles work too! He even gets Japanese games in every now and then (he sometimes has the consoles too like the Nintendo DSi)! I found me a nice rare Japanese game that I never thought I would get here in Hawaii (since not too many people know of it)! I thought I would have to get it in Japan again. It really depends on what he gets. He'll post on his Instagram whenever he gets new stuff in and they go quickly so follow him @retromax_hawaii to get the latest updates! He's really great at responding to messages too! Super nice guy! He just got a whole container of stuff while we were shopping at his tent at the swap meet and he was kind enough to let us look through them when they just got there! Go check him out! If you can't find what you're looking for at BOOKOFF, ECOTOWN, IDEAS, BOOKS & MUSIC, or even GAMESTOP, you'll probably find what you're looking for here! It's totally worth the visit!
