The space was cutely decorated with Thai fabrics and had a tv screen playing videos of iconic spots in Thailand, which I thought was a cute touch. Let me first say, our server was so amazing. He was super attentive, patient, friendly, and very knowledgeable about the food. He noticed that I had a gift for my friend's birthday and he offered us a free dessert to make the day even more special. It was just so nice. He also took such great care with explaining all the options. The food itself was delicious. We both got the khao soi with chicken which were massive. Basically one dish could have fed the both of us! And the price was very reasonable. The dessert we picked was the roti pancake with Nutella and banana which was very unique and delicious as well. They also had all the other Thai classics on the menu such a pad Thai, pad see ew, and mango sticky rice. This location is in Cooksville but they do have another location in Port Credit. Not the easiest place to get to by transit but if I'm ever in the area again, I'm definitely coming back! Definitely a hidden gem in the GTA.

First off, it was boiling in the restaurant! There was no AC and they were only using fans. It felt like we were eating in Thailand. I hope they fixed the AC because it was not an enjoyably dining experience. Secondly, the service was quite slow. There was only one person working the entire dining area. The food was average and the portion size is okay. I had the chicken pad Thai, my husband had the pad gaprao, my friends had the papaya salad and the green curry.

The rice was slightly undercooked over oiled and flavorless . The shrimp were fresh but had more skin on than I preferred and not much seasoning to it. I was disappointed for my fried rice standards. On the other hand, the fresh veggie rolls were fantastic flavorful like Fourth of July in my mouth. I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt because the fried rice was made very last minute because they kind of screwed up my order a little bit so I'm letting them slide, but I'm sure the rest of the food is delicious.

Warm lighting and stylish decor make the restaurant feel welcoming and lively, perfect for a relaxed dinner or a fun night out with friends. The atmosphere is lively and yet feels comfortable and homey. The staff are friendly and attentive, offering great recommendations. We started with "Fresh Veg Roll" and "Fish Cakes" for appetizers and paired them with "Lychee Mojito" and "Thai Pina Colada"; very refreshing for a hot summer evening. We loved the appetizers; they were fresh and tasty. For main, we ordered "Yellow Pineapple Curry with Chicken", "Golden Pad Thai with Shrimp" and "Pineapple Fried Rice with Beef". Everything was packed with flavours and cooked just right. We ended our meal with the famous Thai dessert, "Mango Sticky Rice" which was delicious and beautifully decorated.

They had people sitting in places that didn't normally have seating! The food was delicious. For starters we have the calamari($13.99). It was lightly battered & came with a plumb sauce for dipping. Very tasty. For the main, we shared. Had the Chicken Pad Thai ($20.95). Keeping with the theme, it was delicious as well. Final dish was Thai Egg Fried Rice ($20.95). Just like the rest of the dishes, it was very tasty. Finally for dessert we have the Butterfly Tea Tapioca ($8.00). It was warm & super delicious and a 100% do over as well. The staff was very polite & delivered good quality service.

Disappointing Experience at Thai Barn Na Restaurant…read more Thai Barn Na restaurant is our go to place to celebrate our Birthdays. Always totally satisfied and impressed with the Waitress that is usually working. We never had a problem until Thursday December 4th This experience fell short of the expectations, we will not be returning. We are no longer going to promote Thai Barn as a" Hidden Gem". This location should be allocated for takeout only. Customer service is lacking in front end personnel. Our upset was a result. From past experiences, we were astounded that the $16.00 Margaritas were incredibly short. We were regulars and knew what to expect. We poured one drink into one glass. The Margarita was still an Inch from the salt ring. She came out with another of the same size. We celebrate birthdays and have been Regular CUSTOMERS for several years. When we pointed this out to server, she claimed that these were not the correct glasses. She was very rude, consistently arguing and did not try to soften the situation. We walked out! Never did this in our lives, walk of a restaurant in our lives. We were fortunate to get a reservation elsewhere and had a wonderful time despite the earlier disaster. They made over $300 sales plus tip, and we had the loveliest server. Thai Barn Na needs significant improvements in customer service. If she had not continued to argue the same thing she really angered us. Not once did she suggest she would take the drinks and offer an alternative, instead adamantly continued to argue with us. Perhaps this location would be better suited for Takeout only. It is unfortunate that it is necessary to write this to you.

P4 Pad Gra Prow - The best dish! We chose mild spicy, which wasn't spicy at all. P5 Khao Soi - Golden noodles, very delicious, the coconut milk flavor permeated the noodles, and the meat was quite tender. P6 Pad See Ew - It tasted like wide rice noodles, delicious! We chose beef and extra shrimp. P7 Coconut Sorbet - Coconut milk ice cream, not bad, a little too sweet, and had a little bit of coconut meat. Mango Sticky Rice - The mango sticky rice was average, nothing particularly delicious. P8 Thai Iced Tea - A little sweet and a little too sweet. Food 5/5 Service 4/5…read moreAmbiance 4/5 Food: I've heard so much about how great the food is here. I came here for a corporate dinner & I wasn't disappointed. We had spring rolls & garlic chicken as appetizers. Everyone ordered their own main. I ordered the Beef Pad Thai with some modifications for my food allergies & preferences. The pad thai was really delicious & filling! Well, maybe because I had the appetizers too. LOL. In any case I enjoyed my food & couldn't finish it all. So I took the rest home in a small container. We didn't have any dessert because we were full! Service: I came early to make sure we didn't lose our table & was seated right away. I ordered appetizers so when everyone came they would have something to eat while the main dishes were being cooked. The main dishes actually came pretty fast after we ordered them. Our waitstaff were two different ladies & they were very nice & efficient. Ambiance: The decor is very kitschy. There were paper lanterns hanging from the ceiling. And the door to the bathroom is a rustic wooden door. The tables are basic & chairs all had different colours. I don't mind the decor but it's very casual so not the best for a corporate dinner if you want something fancy. Also the music was quite loud. So it was hard to have a conversation. I like the food here & it's in a convenient spot. It's just really loud & casual. Also there isn't much space between the tables so if the restaurant is full it could feel squishy! I would come back here again to try some different dishes.
