I got their seasonal drink the Golden Peach Milk which was pretty good and a nice milky yet refreshing treat. They currently have a deal where if you buy a drink you can get the matcha powder for 25% off which I impulsively got (with the discount the powder is $36) but have yet to use it so can't tell how good the powder is. The interior has a few tables but during peak hours I'd imagine it'd be hard to find seating. They also have a photobooth which I think is cute but I think it'd be better if it was less close to all the tables for at least an illusion of privacy. read more

My matcha taro was too powdery for me, not sure if it's from the matcha or some powder not being blended enough, but I was not a fan of texture. Their drinks are good. Their specialty is matcha but they do offer other non matcha options. We tried both matcha and non matcha based drinks. You can taste the difference in the quality of the matcha. The non matcha options we tried were okay. It wasn't anything special but I'd recommend coming here if you're wanting something specifically matcha based and looking for a quality matcha drink. It does take a while when coming on a busy day. I ordered the pandan matcha latte. When ordering, I was asked if I wanted whole milk. I was pleasantly surprised to know they had non dairy alternatives, as it hadn't even crossed my mind even though I prefer them. I asked for soy and the man told me my total and then walked away to start my drink. When I am about to make my payment, I realized it is $9.xx. At this point the guy didn't even wait for me to pay and has started my drink. I ask the other employee behind the counter if there was a cost for my milk substitution and she says that it is $1.xx. I tell her that I wish the person making my drink would've disclosed that. Nearly $10 for a matcha latte is a bit much. The parking lot is shared with other businesses nearby and it gets pretty packed, so be prepared for that. Pros: Service is good and quick, even during rush. Place is clean. Cons: The drinks themselves. If you don't really mix the drinks well, it's way too sweet to drink. They put on the sticker to "shake well before drinking" but that should be posted on a big sign in the store. That being said, even after mixing well, the drink was incredibly sweet! I asked for a half sweet rose matcha latte with oat milk. Even at half sweetness, it was sickeningly sweet. For a $10 drink, i expected better. A friend got a blended drink and funnily enough, it tasted really watered down. Honestly, everything else is ok but the drinks themselves need improvement. If you have a strong sweet tooth, it'll be up your alley. I think for most people, the drinks are much much too sweet. read more

Walked in on a Monday after their grand opening. I am a huge Matcha fan and have a couple ceremonial matcha that I make at home. (My favorites are ippuddo ummon & Rocky's ceremonial matcha iykyk with oat milk and honey) I've been wanting to try this place since they started marketing it early this month. The service was great! The place has a couple seats to work from if you work from home. I ordered the Madagascar vanilla matcha with normal everything and substituted milk for oat milk and a salmon rice ball. The drink was cute and I shook it a bunch of times bc I've heard how sweet it could be. This matcha was OVERLY sweet to the point I got a slight headache lol. I couldn't take no more than 3 sips before deciding it wasn't for me. The salmon rice ball was really good, I wish I ordered 2!! 9/10 It would have been better if it was in a mini box instead of a paper to go bag. I'd definitely come back and try another one again. I recently went to junbi for their soft opening and it was some of the best matcha I have ever had (coming from a huge matcha fan)! I live about 45 min - 1 hour from this junbi but had heard so many great things about the place that I had to make the drive. I got their "mango matcha latte" and it was incredible, it's high praise but I would give it a 10/10. Not even a week later I decided to go again but this time I tried the "cold madagascar vanilla matcha latte" and it was another really good drink. I even got to try their soft serve and if you're reading this now and you love matcha, I would highly recommend the soft serve. Before I left I got the "cold yuzu dragonfruit matcha cold brew" for a friend and they seemed to enjoy their drink as well. If you're considering coming out to junbi and you love matcha this would be a great place to check out since there's so many drink options to choose from. The staff were extremely helpful with recommendations and were incredibly kind, I'm not sure if I recall their names correctly but Gabe and Vince were a great help when ordering. There's good wifi, outlets, and a good study space so it's a great spot to study at. Unfortunately this means I'll be back and making the commute just for matcha, but it's worth it! read more

Junbi Katy is my new go-to for matcha drinks! I tried their secret menu matcha pandan and was blown away -- it's earthy, fragrant, and perfectly sweet. I also enjoyed the ube blend, but the real winner was a drink the cashier recommended: matcha pandan blend with a scoop of ube. Hands down, the best drink I've ever had. The ube balances the pandan so well -- creamy, flavorful, and unique. If you're looking for something special, this is it.
