The worst customer service ! Server was rude, my order came out incorrect I sent it back asking for it to me corrected, it came back out incorrect a second time. Instead of server asking would I like something else or try to get the kitchen to get order right, he canceled order without asking me, left me there waiting thinking the order was going to be corrected... after waiting about another 15mins with him avoiding my table I waved him down and asked where's my food and he tells me the order was canceled with an attitude. After a long week of skiing in Winter Park, Julio's delivered a tasty, relaxing meal. I had the smothered chicken chimichanga with spicy salsa. Love that we found this Mexican restaurant in Colorado. Once I saw and tasted their rice, I knew everything else was going to be good. I got the chicken mole enchiladas, my husband got corn chorizo taco plate, my oldest daughter got the sopes with carnitas and the youngest got bacon BBQ hamburger. All very well flavored, Mexican food taste that we love from Texas and the staff were friendly and service was wonderful. Will be rerurning when we come for our yearly trip. Not into leaving reviews bc it's petty tbh, BUT this was truly the worst place I've eaten at in the valley. They add 20% gratuity to every party, so your server has no qualms about never coming up to your table, ever. The food was horrible. It's all right off the Sysco truck w minimal prep and you can taste that. Margs here are entirely sweet and sour mix so get a small one bc 3 people in our grouped puked after drinking ONE medium sized one. Just had the worst food on our entire honeymoon vacation. What kind of Mexican restaurant runs out of pico de gallo as well as chicken.not only that but afterwards when we ordered our plane food of a cheese quesadilla everyone around us was receiving chicken and steak fajitas, we even ordered ahead of some people who ordered chicken fajitas. Visited Julio's on a Saturday evening. This is a casual Mexican restaurant serving good food at a good price. We enjoyed a chicken quesadilla with Mexican cheese and a sopa (thick tortillas loaded with pinto beans, red onion, and chicken). Both had large portions of chicken. The chips were good and the green salsa was spicy with good flavor. The margarita was made from fresh lime and had a good amount of tequila. This is a good Mexican food restaurant. We will be back. DO NOT GO HERE. If I could leave less than one star I would. My experience at this restaurant was by far the worst I've ever had. I can't leave a review on the food because I didn't even stay long enough to taste it. I can tell you however that when it was delivered to our table it did not look appetizing at all. The servers are incompetent and rude. It took way too long to get our order taken and when we finally were able to place our order our waitress didn't seem to understand us or what we wanted. We had a lot of patience but at a certain point enough was enough. The soft drinks we ordered were flat and when we asked for a different beverage our waitress seemed like she was bothered by us. We ordered shots and you would think that was an easy request but nope we were wrong again. When all was said and done we just wanted to pay for what was eaten and leave but yet that was still much for us to ask. We ended up paying almost 50$ for flat drinks and mediocre cheese dip. read more

Went in for a quick little lunch and a beer. Place was almost completely empty, which was nice. We just ordered a smothered burrito and a plate so we could split it before our snowmobiling excursion. Wife took small portion of burrito and I had the larger portion. While eating 2nd bite of my half, I thought I saw a small black hair. I tried to dig it out of the cheese sauce but couldn't exactly find it so scraped it off and decided to power through. By my third bite, my wife did find one in her half and actually scraped it onto the napkin paper. Waitress ask if everything was ok so I explained the situation to her. She said she'd take it back and get another. I was cool with that. More than willing to pay for my food, just preferred a hairless one. Manager/owner (not sure) came over and said they couldn't find any hair and he would refund my money for burrito but wasn't making us another one. I told him the har was on the napkin paper ring but he wasn't interested. So we left hungry and confused!! Lol Tipped the waitress extra though!! You've been warned!!! Absolutely the worst service and food that I've ever experienced anywhere. Party of 12. Nobody else in the restaurant. Plenty of 'staff'. We were only getting drinks and appetizers. Drinks: Messed up 4 out of 12 drinks. Missing one margarita, missing sprite, missing water. One water had crap floating in it. Appetizers: Horrible. One ordered appetizer never came. They didn't bother to tell us that they were out of it. Queso - $8 for a tiny bowl!! and it was watery and lukewarm. Chips and Salsa - complimentary in every other Mexican food restaurant on the planet but these fools charge for it...and the chips were stale. Mozzarella sticks - no marinara. So we asked if it came with it. Server said no....however it states it on the menu. She finally brought it. We then asked for plates and the server said 'For what?' Seriously??? Uh, because we don't want to eat our shared appetizers off the filthy tables. Then she asked 'How many?' Just a wild guess but since we're a party of 12, I'm going to say....12? Also had to request silverware/napkin for everyone. Ordered a grilled cheese and one enchilada for the two young kids. Instead, we received a hamburger and a full enchilada meal. Totally incompetent at every level Food was atrocious and the service was even worse. ****Oh, and they charge 20% tip on ALL transactions**** Anyone who says this is actually good Mexican food is truly clueless or is somehow related to the incompetent family who runs this place. read more

The food was good but the service was almost comically bad. We had a large party but there was hardly anyone else in the restaurant, so there was really no excuse for the poor service. The waiter never did introduce himself. And he seemed almost taken aback when I asked him to go ahead and take our drink order. At one point our kids went to play foosball near the back of the dining area, and they bussed their table of all the drinks they had JUST BROUGHT THEM. Our meals came out over the course of 20 minutes. I was done with mine before my wife received hers. It was a bad experience. Stopped for lunch while we waited for the wind to die down before we went tubing. Best part if the meal was the frozen hamburger patty my son got. Worst part was the rest of the experience. Torts were flavorless and the nachos were served cold. Our waiter still had has pj's on and the place was a dump. Watching the waiters kids clean the table by shoving the food off the table to the floor was amazing though. Just your under average pricey flavorless Mexican food. read more

Well, our return experience left much to be desired. The margaritas were anemic, my wife's enchiladas were less than inspired and my burrito was, eh, ok. The lone bright spot again was Alejandra. Too bad the her excellent service couldn't make up for the rest. First day of our mountain vacation and a terrific start with a visit to Julio's. We looked for margaritas and apps to get acclimated and tried a true gem in Fraser. House margs made with Hornitos Souza? Yes. Top shelf with Don Julio? Of course. Well made (lime juice as mixer!) and refreshing. Our appetizer was beef empanadas - made fresh, not frozen served with a perfect salsa to accompany the app. We already promised Alejandra we would be back with the family to dive deeper into the menu. One of the worst Mexican restaurants I have eaten in. I ordered two tacos and an enchilada from the lunch menu (soft drink included) for $9.00, which I thought was expensive for lunch. My order arrived with two sand dollar size tacos with maybe 1 spoonful of carnitas on each and an enchilada minus any filling. No sides or chips and salsa. Since I ordered water and no soft drink I asked if chips and salsa could be substituted for the soft drink. I was quickly denied this request. I ordered a 12 dollar carne asada burrito and got a huge burrito full of filler, I sent it back and ended up with a burrito that was smaller than a combo burrito at Taco Bell. Honestly I don't even know where to begin. If I could give 0 stars I would. It definitely isn't for the quality of the food or drink that was actually excellent and deserving of a much better review. We visited the Fraser restaurant on 5-22-21. It was my wife and I and another couple. For context, my wife and I are from Arkansas and our friends are from Tennessee. We ordered a drink each and 2 appetizers to share. The food was delicious and the margaritas were good. Our server visited our table twice during the hour and a half that we were there. He never asked if we wanted more drinks or anything. We asked for our check and he never asked how we wanted and proceeded to bring it to us all together which we wanted it split AND added 20% gratuity to it. We asked for it to be split and the auto gratuity removed and he refused. We asked for a manager and were told we could pay the bill or he would call the police. He also told us he didn't have a manager which clearly one gentleman there was the manager and did become involved at which point the server began to speak to him in Spanish which we don't understand and then told him in English that we were rude and had attitude with him from the beginning which wasn't true. We were threatened with the police again at which point I paid the bill and we left but I wasn't going to tolerate that kind of treatment. If he needed that $14 tip that badly he can surely have it. We come to Colorado regularly and will not be visiting this establishment again which is a shame because the food and drinks were good. I will not tolerate that kind of treatment at all! 0/5 will not recommend! read more

We (3 of us) dined tonight at Julio's. My advice to others check your bill very closely- they added a 20% tip automatically. At the bottom of the tab was a blank line for tip and suggested amounts for tip (10-15-20) for additional tip - double dipping!!! BS for sure. The food was average. read more

Wow that was good. Small place tucked into the corner of a strip mall. The smells hit you as you pull up and you can tell it will be good. Absolutely fabulous food. Reasonably priced and many menu choices. Our group tried various tacos and burrito Pastor. We all found our choices delicious. So pleased to see Horchata and Agua Frescas on the menu. We hope to get back there for breakfast before we leave the area to try the huevos rancheros. Julio is very friendly and helpful. The sort of place and food I'm betting would be very comforting in ski season. Highly recommend. read more
