If I could give this no stars I would. Absolutely ruined my first Mother's Day as a mom and my mother's. I made reservations for 1:15 and didn't get called until 1:45 and was told it was outside seating. I made the reservations for inside as I have a newborn and it was way too hot for him to be outside. I asked for inside and was told I couldn't have inside seating and would have to wait a lot longer. I had already paid for valet parking with two cars and ended up having to leave. Very unorganized from the valet parking to even waiting inside. I will not be coming back to this restaurant. read more

First a BIG SHOUT OUT to our server BRANDON he did phenomenal at taking care of our table. You can tell he truly cares about his job. He took amazing care of our huge group of 10 people. The ambiance was super coool!!! It looks like a super fancy movie theater. However, you can still tell it's a nice restaurant and not a movie theater if you know what I mean. The food was good, but the prices are ridiculous! The table ordered: Appetizer Crabcake 3/5 not my fave Tacos 4/5 Sides (separate price and it's like a appetizer price) Brussel sprouts 5/5 (I'm not a huge brussel Sprout girlie Mac & Cheese 5/5 amazingggg my fave side Loaded mashed potatoes 4/5 Sweet potatoes 3/5 Entrees Pork Chops 5/5 Fish 4/5 Chicken 4/5 Drinks Aesthetic and sparkly but also delicious!!! They have alcoholic and non alcoholic Great for large groups. There's 20% tip included read more

I always have a great time at Juliet! I've been for both dinner and happy hour. The food is always delicious. I've tried the crab cakes, shrimp, Brussel sprouts, asparagus, Cesar salad and steak, and they are all great. The only item I've tried and didn't like was the Mac and cheese. To me it's more just like a pasta than mac. The service is also great and the servers are always attentive. The vibes are nice - dimly lit, r&b music. read more

This review is for the happy hour. First the bar is very nice . There are plenty of seats including high table, and booths. They have happy hour menu from 5-7. You also can order from dinner menu too. Service were very nice and attentive. It's definitely a great spot for happy hour. read more

This place is amazing. When you enter it looks like a movie theater and yes they do sell the concessions. We went for our 20th anniversary which happened to be on the steak special Wednesday. Lord help me I forgot the servers name, but he was so amazing and thoughtful. This is 5 star service here. You will never have to ask to have someone clear your plate or wait a moment to get your glass filled with water. The BEST old fashioned drinks are here- they are smoked! The steak super tender and juicy. If you are looking for great service and excellent food this is where you need to be. Also the bathroom is amazing-yes I commented on the bathroom. There is a flower wall and free selfie machine!!!! read more

My gosh 1st time here and it did not disappoint. From the gentleman opening the door to us being seated the experience was truly remarkable. Shout out to our waitress Jasmine! Hope I spelled her name right, she was on point on everything. Thank you. Food I mean the food was so so good, the jumbo asparagus to the red snapper my gosh. Superb! I do wish it was less seats, seems like it is kinda tight when u are walking to be seated and leaving out, felt like u have to go sideways getting out. But overall great time for the birthday. Looking forward to bringing my parents here. read more

I think the decor of the movie pictures are cheesey. I had Edward Scissorhands and The Godfather looking at me the entire meal. I was turned off about the mandatory 19% tipping added to the end of the bill. I don't think our waiter deserved that. The timing of when everything was presented, to waiting to order, to waiting to pay for the bill was just off. Food was fine for a steakhouse but the tacky interior, the mandatory/pushy valet guys outside, and the mandatory 19% gratuity just turned me off so much that the food couldn't overcome the negatives of this place. read more

I've actually been to Juliet on two different occasions. The first was a cousin dinner during Houston restaurant week. The second time was to try out there a happy hour recently. I'd like to state that both times that I visited the restaurant there was a sewer like smell. My sister asked about it the first time and they said that they were having issues with plumbing mind you, the second visit was almost 2 months after that, and it smelled exactly the same. Let's get to the food and the service. They start everyone off with their house made popcorn, which has a nice little jalapeño flavor to it. I can't remember the waiters name from the first time, but he was really good and the second time we had Jackie as our bartender/waiter who was also great very attentive. First visit I had the HRW filet mignon the steak was cooked medium to perfection loved the sides that they paired with it. You can't go wrong with a vegetable and mashed potatoes. I also had the Thai chili shrimp as my appetizer which was amazing. I ordered one of their infamous lemon drops. Both visits I got the same drink. I tried the strawberry and regular lemon drop. They do add glitter to it, which is a nice touch aesthetic wise. For my dessert, I ordered the butter cake, which was pretty good and topped with ice cream. During my happy hour visit, we tried the fries which are wedge style not the biggest fan of those types of fries. Of course I ordered the Thai chili shrimp again, which didn't disappoint. This time I tried the chicken tacos that are offered on the happy hour menu. They weren't my favorite but again this is a steakhouse so I probably shouldn't have ordered tacos lol the flavor just wasn't there. My friend ordered the sliders there were no complaints with those. I definitely recommend going during happy hour as the martinis are usually $20 versus their happy hour price which is half off for the same size drink. I'd also like to add that the martinis are pretty small compared to other restaurants. Some important information to know before you go is that you do have to pay for valet, which is $10 for regular parking and 20 for VIP. When I came for a happy hour no one else was there and I parked myself 10 minutes later the attendant came up to my car and told me I had to pay and of course I had questions on why. Apparently you can't park anywhere in that parking lot without paying allegedly but there is a building lateral to the restaurant where I'm pretty sure you don't have to pay but the guy was trying to tell me you do. read more

Wifey brought me here for my birthday. The greeting and seating went very smoothly. Our waiter was excellent going over the menu and introducing us to spot. We started with drinks, margaritas, which were hitting. My wife had crab cakes and I had the short rib tacos to start. We really enjoyed those. The meat in the taco was well seasoned and the crispy taco is a smart conduit for those flavors. I got the NY strip to eat with brussel sprouts and Mac and cheese. The only complaint if you can call it that is the mac had penne noodles instead of elbows. And I know I'm one of the small percentage of people who would even notice this. It was still banging. We had a really great experience, the restroom area is really cute, they have a photo booth that is gratis back there too. We will be back on our next visit to Houston. read more

Went here for a friends birthday dinner. The outside movie theatre set up is definitely something I've never seen before. Once you're in it's a regular modern restaurant. We were seated quickly, and our waiter was very courteous. We were a group of 6 with one running late. Once she arrived we ordered. They had a special steak entree for $40. The entire table ordered it. It must've been a big hit because our waiter and the Manager came over to tell us they were all sold out. To accommodate us he offered a bigger steak at the same price which was nice. The drinks were cute, I forgot the name of one but it sparkles. Even my cosmo has a bit of sparkle in it. The best part is the flower wall by the bathroom. The perfect place for photos. We spent half an hour just taking pics. read more

Juliet - Flower wall - Steakhouses Near Me - Houston, Texas

Keping it real, we had a great experience at Juliet. For my bestie's 39th birthday, it gave exactly the vibes we wanted: sexy and sophisticated elegance and fun for the older millenial who loves a good soundtrack in their restaurant, but doesn't want it drowning out conversation. Our server Alex was very friendly and attentive, and gave great recommendations. Food came quick and nicely plated, and everything was good or great. The crispy Thai shrimp, crab cakes, and brussel sprouts were my favorites. The glitter adorned cocktails were tasty, if a bit sweet overall (at least the ones we had.) If you want to dine for the 'Gram, you can enjoy the beautiful flower wall outside the bathrooms or a complimentary selfie station (unfortunately positioned right in front of the men's stall door). Juliet is absolutely a place whose greatest value is in the overall aesthetic of the experience, but happens to have good food. That being said, I don't think I'll be back. As good as it was, and as nice a time as we had, my dining experience value is far more focused on food than aesthetic. Juliet is just not a vibe I need outside of an occasional birthday. It feels like a place where you're paying a tax for the ambiance. There are too many restaurants that are just as good if not better in Houston where you'll spend slightly less. The crowd may be older and the music not as poppin', but that's okay for me. A few specific gripes: - First and foremost, Juliet's was too expensive for what it served. Sizeable portions, yes, and some nice cuts of steak and pretty good seafood. But I don't think Juliet ranks up there with the finest surf and turf restaurants to warrant the prices. For comparison, a tomahawk is $125 at Taste of Texas, while one just slightly smaller at Juliet is $195. I'm not even going to talk about the option to add $200 in 24k gold because I guess that's just what some people are about. Entrees did not come with sides, which were all $14 each (if sizeable and easily shared). - 19% gratuity is added for ALL checks regardless of party size. While I generally tip 20% for baseline good service all the time, I'm always wary when it's required. Fortunately our server was great and deserved it plus some. - Happy hour is served only at the bar which, given we got there at 6 PM on a Friday to only three people at the bar and maybe a handful more at tables, feels really stingy. We were literally two steps from the bar, but couldn't even order drinks and then take them back to our table. - There are no options for self park so prepare to pay $10 or $20 for valet depending on how close you want your car. read more

Two months ago, in October, I called Juliet's to schedule a reservation for December 14th to celebrate Friendsmas with 14 of my friends. I paid the deposit, coordinated a menu with the event coordinator, signed the contract, even purchased pre-made menus, all to ensure we had an amazing Friendsmas brunch. To my absolute shock, I received an email after 8 p.m. on December 10th, just four days before my event stating that my reservation was canceled because they made changes to their facility and would no longer be offering brunch on Sundays. The only alternative they offered was "priority seating," which completely disregarded the months of planning that had already gone into this event. I called multiple times on December 11th and never received an answer. I sent several emails with no response. The only communication I eventually received was a brief message stating that my refund had been processed. This experience was incredibly disappointing and unprofessional. After investing time, money, and trust into their establishment, to be dismissed so abruptly and so close to my event date was unacceptable. I expected far better communication and accountability from a place that markets itself as an event-friendly venue. read more

50$ Easter brunch was a massive disappointment. They did not even have coffee or tea. Bar service was ridiculously slow, we ate and had seconds before getting our mimosas. The food itself was decent; however, not worth $50 and there was a hair in the chicken tenders. French toast was yummy and prime rib delicious, but the overall experience was held back by the lack of specialty foods or exceptional service. The buffet always had something missing either plates, French toast, fruit cups, etc. The movie theatre theme is appealing at first, but then feels gimmicky after seeing how it's incorporated into the restaurant. read more

If you are a brunch Spot how do you not have coffee??? Coffee is a part of the brunch experience as mimosas are. Food was VERY GOOD and very flavorful. Was invited to a birthday dinner and been wanting to try this restaurant since seeing it on social media. The place is nestled in a shopping center and parking is valet. Upon entering the restaurant, it looks like an old movie theater complete with movie snacks in the display. The party had reservations and we waited almost an hour before we got seated due to another party not finishing up their dinner. We had the option to wait in the front or the bar area and we opted to wait in the front because the bar was packed to the max. The only con about this place was how close the tables were and how people walking by was so close to your food. Luckily we were seated in a more intimate setting which eliminated the people hovering over our food; however, it was still quite loud. The waiter was excellent in handling our party and the food and drinks were good. I loved the take on the Caesar salad with the over easy egg. The salmon was quite tasty as well. This restaurant was worth the wait and I'd return on a less busy night. read more

The TikTok Hype Is REAL!! Juliet Delivers Intimate Vibe and Massive Happy Hour Value! My foodie friend and I finally decided to check out [Restaurant Name]--and let me tell you, the TikTok hype was absolutely justified! We were looking for something intimate with great variety, and this spot delivered. The entry experience is immediately special. It feels like walking into a classic, old movie theater, complete with cute, nostalgic props like vintage candy and popcorn. It's truly a beautiful, intimate touch that sets the stage perfectly. Even the background music was great, providing just enough privacy that we couldn't easily overhear neighboring conversations. We ended up taking advantage of the Happy Hour special and sat at the bar, which turned out to be the perfect decision. The bar staff was amazing--so helpful and informative. They even offered us complementary, delicious popcorn while we waited for our order. Most of our haul came straight off the Happy Hour menu, and here's the biggest surprise: we expected small plates, but the portions were genuinely huge--good enough to share, with leftovers to take home. The food was delicious across the board (sorry, diet, you're going right out the window here!), and our drinks were clearly crafted with care. My only heads-up is the parking situation. Be prepared for a mandatory $20 valet fee, even when the plaza lot is nearly empty and blocked off with cones. However, the staff was great and immediately clarified that the valet service is handled by a separate company and is entirely out of their control. Despite the parking frustration, we are already planning our return. The amazing staff and the huge menu of dishes we still need to try guarantee we'll be back soon. A big shoutout to the whole team for the incredible service! read more

WOWOWOWOW! What an amazing restaurant! Food, service, ambiance... it's GREAT!! We went here for Houston Restaurant Weeks and were so pleased with everything about the restaurant (except the valet). Rasheed was our waiter and he is truly a superstar. He was polite, patient, friendly, knowledgeable, all around amazing. Often when you dine on the HRW menu, the portions can be small but that is NOT the case at Juliet. Three of us got two different salads as appetizers and three different entrees. The salads were huge and absolutely delicious. The entrees were all huge and so so so good. I had the salmon and my friends got the steak and pork. We loved them all. The bread pudding was a show stopper! And when I told Rasheed that I don't eat sweets but was there any way I could take it home for my husband, he didn't hesitate! So often on the HRW menu, they won't let you make alterations or take items home. Not at Juliet! They allowed me to modify my salad and take home my dessert. The exterior of the restaurant looks like an old movie theater and the lobby area is like the front of a movie theater with popcorn and candy. I loved the vibe! Make sure to go in the bathroom to take a selfie or photos in front of the giant flower wall! Why 4/5 stars? 1) The Valet was HORRIFIC! He was so rude to all 3 of us and we each arrived at different times in different vehicles. They have taken EVERY.SINGLE.SPOT in the parking lot with over 100 cones. They have not left one spot for self parking. not one. He threatened my friend. It may not have happened inside the restaurant, but it started our evening with a horrible experience. He said it would be $20 for valet and $10 if we wanted to use one of his valet spots and he'd give us our keys back. Awful. 2) The receptionist / greeters could be better. They lacked any enthusiasm and friendliness. Our waiter more than made up for it was his personality and service, but first impressions weren't good. read more

The service was good, food was good but wasn't anything that I would go back for. This is a good spot for someone who is trying to have a low key date night or a small girls/guys dinner. Otherwise it was not as big of a venue as I expected. Additionally their website seems pretty strict about dress code and hardly anyone was dressed up and it was a weekend... I was hoping for a more elegant classy place as I feel that is what their website eludes to with their dress code and images and it is a cute place, clean environment but attire was more casual in my opinion leaving my husband and I sitting in a really nice dress and suit making it a little awkward for us.... read more

Food was absolutely tasteless, had to ask for the basic salt and pepper from waiter, Mac and cheese tasted like it was made from a powder and stirred in the pasta, food was definitely overpriced for the portion you received and on top of it all they charge you a customary gratuity of 19% in which when I inquired about what i being charged that amount i was told everyone is charged this amount even for takeout, total rip off and they still expect a tip. Went to Juliet to celebrate Labor Day weekend and to experience Houston Restaurant Week with my girl crew. This was our first experience and it was a great one. So you need to know that Juliet is a speakeasy, and the entrance has the appearance of an old school movie theatre. Keeping with this theme there are movie posters inside and a screen showing movies while dining. There is valet at the door for $10. The interior is nicely appointed and the seating is quite comfortable. We ordered cocktails (the old fashioned for me) and the Juliet drop which is a take on the lemon drop cocktail was enjoyed by my friends. As we dined during HRW, 3 of us chose the menu for this month, with an appetizer, entree, and dessert for $55. We tend to order and share, so this is what we enjoyed collectively: crab cakes, Thai sweet chili shrimp, red snapper with dirty rice inspired risotto, the filet with whipped potatoes and broccolini, New Zealand rack of lamb, mac and cheese shareable side with truffle and bacon, red velvet cheesecake brownie, butter cake, and the amazing snickerdoodle bread pudding. I can't say enough about how delicious the food was and to top it off the service was exceptional. Our server was extremely knowledgeable and she even offered to take our picture on their epic rose wall. The manager stopped by to check on us, and when asked a question he didn't immediately know, went to check and came back with an answer in less than 5 minutes! It was truly a fantastic experience and I look forward to returning with my husband. If you haven't checked Juliet out, RUN! It's that good. read more

Firstly I am really shocked that this place does not have all 5 star reviews as they rightfully deserve. We went there to celebrate my daughter's birthday and I will definitely be going there more often. Starting from the second we were welcomed by the host, greeted by the server Paul ( amazing guy) , recommendations for the drinks, appetizers and the main coarse everything was A+. Let me not forget the ambiance was very nice too. We had raw oysters and crab cakes as appetizers and then for dinner ordered Fried lobster tails, NY strip( cooked to perfection) and a sea bass. And had mashed potatoes as shareable. They had even especially designed a personalized menu wishing my daughter a happy birthday. First impressions set the tone. My first impression of Juliet is that this restaurant really...really wants you to valet (even on a Wednesday, when there's clearly enough self parking...right near the restaurant). Depending on when you're visiting know that you can self park on lighter days, but keep in mind that the restaurant shares a parking lot with many other restaurants (who also section off portions of the lot for valet). After we parked, I was personally impressed by the execution of the theme. Expect theatre feels as promised with moody lighting, and smart details (velvet curtains, popcorn delivered to tables). However from there, our experience was, well, lack luster: -we noticed other tables receiving complimentary popcorn...no popcorn arrived to our table. -the food was fine. We tried: ---Blue Moon cocktail ---shrimp appetizer ---red snapper blackened ---party potatoes ---baby carrots ---snickerdoodle bread pudding While our service was great, a 19% mandatory tip was added to the bill and we felt slightly pressured to tip more (which may be the norm in other cities, but not in Houston.) Also, I ordered diplomatic on the rocks and was charged $2 for it to be served "on the rocks"....in other word, I was charged $2 for an ice cube. I left feeling both satiated and nickel and dimed. Not my favorite combination. Overall I was whelmed, not overwhelm, not underwhelmed, but not worth the price of Nobu for the experience we received. As always I wish them the best, and hope they find their target audience! read more

This restaurant was aesthetically pleasing from the outside to the inside. I felt like I was entering an old school movie theater and I thought the complementary popcorn for the table was classic. I had a blueberry lemon drop for my drink which I thought was absolutely delicious, and pretty too! For my starter I got the blue crab and avocado stack which was absolutely stunning. It was melt in your mouth delicious, however I do think it should come with some kind of chips or wonton crisp for a bit more texture. For my entree I ordered the red snapper which had potential but was so salty that I had to send it back to the kitchen. Instead I opted for the crab cakes which were delicious and I went home satisfied. I would totally try this place again! 8/10 read more
