We live about 10 minutes away in Hopewell Junction and today we were wondering if we should order pizza from local pizzeria for dinner but then my husband said let's go and try Julien's. OMG we r so happy we did. It's a small local spot, decorated with super cool happy colors and my son loved the posters on the wall. We sat at the long big table and to our surprise there were LEGO blocks on the wall that our son and daughter played with the entire time we were there. They belong to the owners adorable son who later came in and played with our son. We did meet the owner as well who seemed like a very lovely and friendly woman. Now about the food: we ordered the Pig & Cow pie, Mushroom Duxelles and our kids had a small cheese pie. I don't have the words to describe how amazingly delicious mouth watering was the mushroom pie. My husband and I who are meat lovers fell in love with this pie. The amount of different types of mushrooms and the sweet little onions are a fantastic combination. The dough itself is thin crust. I usually don't like to eat the crust but I ate it all this time around. The pig & cow pie had a copious amounts of different meats, chorizo included which you can't find anywhere else on meat pizzas. Kids cheese pie was delicious as well. Julien's is the culinary gem Millbrook has been hiding! This family-owned and operated restaurant brilliantly combines Italian cuisine and sushi under one cozy roof. The intimate setting, with just a handful of tables, creates a charming atmosphere that makes you feel like you've discovered a secret dining spot. The waitress was incredibly warm and friendly, enhancing our dining experience. I highly recommend making reservations to ensure you don't miss out. Their chicken parm over linguine was absolutely exceptional - so good that it surpassed my go-to Italian spot in New Jersey. Meanwhile, my wife was thrilled with the "Monster" sushi roll and loved her pom-tini cocktail, which exceeded her expectations. Ive heard A lot about this place since moving up to the area from the city a few months back but honestly didnt expect much but what the hell. Sushi and Pizza? This is no joke, this is by far the best pizza AND sushi to be found anywhere in the area...who are these people? From what I hear its a husband and wife team just killing it. The sushi was fresh and innovative and didnt dissapoint and either did the beautiful and gracious sushi chef...We tried a little of everything and got one of the craziest pizzas weve ever seen on a menu at some nearly invisible off the main drag hole in the wall..duck confit? Im guessing the husband was the somewhat loud and foulmouthed mohawked guy in the back but hey good on ya that was the best pizza ive had in a long time maybe ever hope this place takes off its worth the trip and a trip it is wait till you see the place read more

We love Julien's and eat there at least once a week. We have never, ever had burnt pizza and I suspect that the reviewers who have said they did were not telling the truth. They seem to have some motive for disparaging the restaurant, and I don't understand what that could be. The food is always made with fresh ingredients and a lot of care goes into each dish. The owners are very attentive and obviously take pride in their business. We appreciate that they live locally and that their restaurant is part of our community. I especially recommend the kale salad, the eggplant parm, and the garlic knots! read more

We always order from Juliens and it NEVER disappoints - whether it's pizza or sushi! Last night was BEYOND exceptional which is truly amazing considering Kay and her husband are doing this all alone during this crazy Covid time. The sushi pizza was the most unique and delicious thing I have ever tasted. My husband and two babies and I ordered 2 pizzas, a calzone, 3 appetizers and a kids meal.... and ate all of it between dinner and this mornings breakfast. talk about a place that can do it all. We finally had a chance to eat here last week and my boyfriend and I were so pleased how delicious everything was from appetizers, to pizza, to dessert. The staff was great and owners are also so nice...local couple with a sweet little boy, support our locals! The pizza is different than a regular pizza place, but different GOOD, thin crust, nicely browned on the bottom and tasty. Nice selection of interesting toppings. Julien's Pizza is owned and run by a really nice couple who are supporting local farms and suppliers, and using great local ingredients to make their creative pizza's and other items (it is not just pizza and everything is home made)! They are doing a great job. Don't go in expecting a Neapolitan style pizza. This is not that. It is a very interesting crust with a really light fresh tomato sauce and high quality cheeses and toppings. A very welcome addition to Millbrook! read more

Julien's adds sushi to their menu every Monday night. What a great idea! If you haven't already done so and you like sushi (at a great price), I strongly recommend heading to Julien's on Monday nights. The soft shell crab in the spider roll is my favorite, followed by the frankiln and bennett rolls. I truly can't believe how fresh the sushi taste. I also enjoy the other meals they have on their menu, but sushi night is definitely my favorite. The prices are amazing too! read more

My mom and I ordered the Caprese as an appetizer and a medium Garden pizza to split. What we ate exceeded our expectations! Caprese was delicious, and the garden pizza had a thin crust (which we love!), and a great variety of flavors from the different veggies. My mom described the pizza as "a party in [her] mouth!" Our favorite pizza place in the area! We try to come at least once every other week. Their gluten free crust is homemade and is actually flavorful vs. the standard pre-cooked frozen crusts you get at other pizza places. We especially like the special pies that are always changing. Recently settled in Millbrook as well as new parents, my hubby and I adore this place! When we are hungry and don't feel like cooking this is #1! I've had nothing but some of the best high end pizza from this place, also their sandwiches are to die for. Just ask for a chicken parm with pepperoni on garlic bread and you can thank me later. Hands down the best gluten free pizza I have ever had. They make the dough from scratch in house and you can taste the difference. We had four different pies and they were all excellent. I don't normally review places on yelp but this place is too good to keep to myself. Go to Julien's, it's worth the trip. read more
