A regional "chain" from Montco to Princeton, this slightly artsy place brings out flavor and not putting to much emphasis on crust. I never heard of this place until I saw it pop-up on TooGoodToGo. Seems like a lot less pizza will go to waste now. I dig this place. Price is reasonable for what you get but Rize still gives you a better deal. I like artsy pizza over traditional pizza any day. The mushroom was good but the ingredients felt slightly "there" if I want to try to be a really picky food critic. The honey sriracha chicken which is the other one I think I had, blended super well with this crust texture. The lack of crust brings this flavor out more. Rize is still my fave in the area. Ravenisi in Glen Mills is barely in second with Crust's Detroit in third for me. Maybe this would hit fourth- I don't know. So many places. There are places closer to me I still haven't tried yet (Lariele, Pappou's, Hunnypie). It's too many for me lol. read more

Delicious crispy pizza! It was perfect for lunch. They have so many choices to pick from and each flavor we picked out was great. The carbonara was my favorite this trip. Just had a very odd experience at Jules Thin Crust in Wayne. I had ordered ahead and paid online because I was in a time crunch and expected my order to be ready when I got there. Upon arrival, I told the man working the cashier (who seemed to be the manager) that I was here to pick up my order but also wanted to buy an additional slice in store (and told them not to heat it up because I have somewhere to be). He told me he realized the printer isn't working in the back and he will start working on the pizza I had ordered ahead for now. I was pretty disappointed because the entire reason I had ordered ahead was to avoid a wait time. When the pizza was done, he handed me the box and I told him I still have to pay for the additional slice. He responded "oh, don't worry about it" (which I thought was courteous to the fact he had made me wait) so I said thank you and headed to the door. Right when I got to the door, he yelled across the restaurant (infront of other customers to hear) "are you going to pay for that?" I was shocked. I headed to the cash register and told him he just said don't worry about it. He responded that didn't mean that and is just "pissed about the printer" and charged me $5 for the additional slice. Handing over my card was the most degraded I have ever felt in a restaurant. Had I not been in a hurry, I would have explained how inappropriate that public humiliation and deceit was. I won't be returning to this business. I am a local and have been a loyal customer since the place opened in 2012. The past few times I have been there, the pizza has been burnt and toppings scarce but as a loyal customer I continued to support the business. Not anymore. It is equally upsetting that the manager replied to my review and instead of taking accountability for what happened, accused me of making this up. I finally tried Jules. My first pizza was a mini with sauteed garlic spinach, mozzarella, and ricotta on white whole grain. It was delicious, fresh ingredients, and crisp crust. On my last two visits I tried the #9 which is Chili-lime black bean spread, mozzarella, roasted sweet corn, chopped organic tomatoes, red onions, scallions, cilantro, chipotle sour cream . The first one with whole-grain white and then with whole-wheat. I prefer the white whole-grain. This pizza is filled with loads of fresh ingredients, packed with flavor, a hint of spicy, and absolutely delicious. The mini is the right size portion to hit the spot. read more

When ever I hear the words "organic" and "gluten-free", I can't help my eyes from rolling around, because these are everyone's favorite buzz words. Organic and gluten-free are sexy now - not just for hipsters. So, again, my PA friend had a surprise birthday get together here, and all I could think about was $9 going down the drain for pizza, but tasting is believing. Jules is a chain, and it's apparently all over. When I looked over at the sizes of the slices, I of course thought to super size everything, and ordered three slices just for myself. I of course, got the Brooklyn Slice, a balsamic chicken slice, and a veggie slice. Well, this was definitely BAD judgment, and was PACKED to the gills by the time we left this place. Wouldn't think they would fill you, but do yourself the favor - start small, and work yourself back to the counter for seconds. Excellent, fresh, and most importantly - tasty. Very happy with my experience at Jules Thin Crust pizza. I have been putting off trying their type of slice mainly due to typically craving a basic cheese pizza. Finally one night my husband and I decided we each wanted a different flavor of toppings so we decided it was time to give them a try. We called in our order and was told it would take 10-15 minutes. We got the Veggie #7 and Veggie #14. My husband is a sucker for the mushrooms and I was happy with the poblano sour cream sauce because I enjoy tangy. We were both very happy with our choices. Plentiful amount of toppings especially because it is not cheap pizza. If you have no time for thin crusts than do not come here. It is like eating a cracker with pizza toppings and that is something I do like. I would recommend either one of the veggie options we tried. If you really like subtle spiciness and a white pizza then definitely get #7. We went in exactly 10 minutes and it was ready to go and piping hot. We each got a mini size but it was plenty. I walked in out of curiosity to a very roomy atmosphere. Their setup was interesting, all the pizzas were neatly organized at the back and you walked down to pick what you wanted. People have been hyping up this pizza chain for quite some time, and having had the best of the best in Philly and NYC, I tried to give this place a shot and I couldn't get into it. I ordered a large pizza with pepperoni, sausage and mushrooms online for curbside pickup. Service was very fast and friendly, and I was able to pick my pizza up within 20 minutes. Right away, when I opened the box, the toppings were already on the skimpy side. The crust honestly tasted like cardboard, the sauce wasn't good, and we couldn't finish the pizza for days, even if we tried. Sadly, I've had frozen pizzas from the supermarket, even ones with cauliflower crust, that had better crust texture and flavor elements. I'm trying to support businesses during this time, but this was one of the first pizzas I've ever had where I made a hard pass on eating more than half a square slice. I shared this with three other family members who shared the same sentiment. What a disappointment. read more

I have been a huge fan of Jules for years! So much so, that I would take trips to Doylestown and Newtown from West Chester just to have some! I love pizza, but I just don't have the metabolism to enjoy the traditional sort frequently. Jules allows me to enjoy pizza without the guilt and the grease!! The thin crust is just enough and they also offer gluten free crust. They always have lots of different flavors readily available and can make a whole pizza for dining in or takeout as well. I love how fresh and healthy all of their pies are, and I have to say I have never had a flavor I haven't liked! My absolute favorite is Kim's Pie. Roasted chicken, portobello mushrooms, caramelized onions, mozzarella, balsamic BBQ sauce, and chives. YUM. They also have some tasty sounding salad options, but I love the pizza so much I've never sacrificed a pizza opportunity to try the salad. :-p The only thing I wish is some improvements/additions in seating. I wish they had some outdoor seating during the warmer months to take in the sights and people of Wayne, and the indoor seating is very limited. I love thin crust pizza so this was perfect for me! I'll skip all the jargon as you can see from the other reviews that it's organic, locally sourced, free range chicken blah blah blah. Bottom line, it has quality ingredients. On this particular trip I tried the Italian and the buffalo chicken. The Italian comes with very thinly sliced pepperoni and sausage while the buffalo chicken comes with buffalo sauce chicken, celery, and arugula. I enjoyed the buffalo very much. The sauce was quite spicy which gave it a very nice kick! This is the type of place where they warm your pizza up in the oven. I kind of wish it was fresh b/c once you let the pizza sit out for a bit, it just doesn't taste the same as straight from the oven. Two slices set me back about $6. Not bad at all! read more

The only reason I leave out a star is because they "didn't have kale" to make my favorite flavor of theirs - Veggie #11. However, I branched out and was very pleasantly surprised by the other options . If you are a meat eater I would definitely recommend Kim's pie, it has pulled chicken, Caramelized onions and other good stuff. I had a large order for 4+ large pizzas and split them In Half with different flavors so it was kind of complicated for them to execute but everything was perfect ! This was a delicious spot to stop for lunch while in the area for a travel soccer game. There was ample street parking for a minimal cost. There aren't many tables inside, but the ones they have are socially distanced. There were a couple of fresh pies available for a slice to what up, but we ordered some fresh ones. The M2 option which was a BBQ pulled pork with red onions, scallions, and cheese was absolutely delicious. Our table mate had plain cheese and said it was delicious as well. However, the net effect of this is inexplicably boring. I even was excited for the gluten free option--"fresh" gluten-free pizza is not easy to find, but will not order it again. Overall, this could be a pizza for some other folks--not I. The pizza kingdom in general is large and forgiving, so feel free to try it for yourself. The pizza by the slice is fairly reasonably priced, the crust is super thin, and the toppings are fresh and solid. The toppings alone get 4 or 5 stars. The crust is thin, and not especially crisp the last time I went, so that a 1.5 star experience. They don't fill you up, and the prices are moderate. The ambience is sterile, IMO. I love the pic of the owner's kids, but there is little warmth besides that. The same goes for the associates - no warmth at all coming from their deadpan expressions. I discovered this small chain of pizza shops in the Jenkintown/Abington location, and I've become a huge fan. I finally tried out this location when I was in the area. It's a very small storefront in downtown Wayne. You get to experience all of Wayne's cuteness, as well as the ghastly traffic congestion when driving into town. There is street parking only, but we had no trouble finding a metered spot. Something about Wayne though doesn't sit well for me--for how far out in the 'burbs it is, and how car-oriented the surrounding area is, I can't help but feeling I'm getting the "worst of both worlds" when I have to drive here, then drive around for parking, and pay for parking...I'm more partial to walkable urban areas and small towns myself, but I do like the convenient parking of more suburban locations. I feel like this area gets the congestion of an urban area while still having the awful car-reliance of a suburb. But anyway, end of rant. This place is pretty much the same as the other location, food-wise. The pizza is excellent. My favorite are the whole wheat pizzas...and I like the one that has a greek salad on top, as well as the one with the razor-thin slice of eggplant. TRY the whole wheat pizza. I am seriously hooked...and I wish more people would order it. They usually only make up a couple whole wheat pies to set out, and they tell me it's because they don't sell. This is crazy! This must be because people haven't tried them. I LOVE whole wheat pizza in general and I think this place has the best example of it that I've tried anywhere. The crust is so intensely flavorful...it's hearty and just...really really yummy. I want everyone in here to at least try it out...I certainly prefer it by taste and I bet a lot of people would if they tried it. I want more people to try it so more people can start ordering it so that this place will make more of their pizzas in whole what. It's both healthier and more tasty! A minor quibble--a while back Jules modified the eggplant pizza in every location so that it no longer has parmesan cheese and instead has ricotta cheese. I really am NOT a fan of the ricotta cheese on any of the Jules pizzas. The crusts here are thin and light, and the toppings are super flavorful, which I love, and the big lump of ricotta cheese just adds a big, heavy, bland blob on top of the pizza. I almost want to pick it off when I order the new eggplant one. So I really hope the central management can respond to this and like, take off the ricotta and put this pizza back the way it was. It used to be my favorite pizza here but now I am back to preferring my former 2nd and 3rd favorites. Oh, also, the cookies here are great. The one big downside of this place? There's very little seating. Don't come here at a busy time, or you might not get a table. We had to wait very briefly for a table, and as soon as we left, someone else who was waiting snatched up our table. I also think this place is super reasonably priced!!! Jules is super tasty and I definitely want to go back again! The ingredients seemed very fresh and their offerings were not so run of the mill. I enjoyed a unique slice of pie with artichoke hearts, chopped organic tomatoes, arugula, garlic, mozzarella, fresh cubed mozzarella, gorgonzola, & oregano that was really great. And when they say thin crust -- they mean thin! Also sampled the Goat Fiesta Salad. Who DOESN'T want to eat something with that name? Goat Fiesta? I'm there! It was very tasty -- but I did find their salad dressing offerings a bit lacking. Caesar, Balsamic Vinaigrette, & Ranch? Really? That's all? That Goat Fiesta would've been spectacular if they'd only had an offering with a sweeter twist, like Champagne Shallot or even a Raspberry Vinaigrette. Well as the name of the business states, the crust on this pizza certainly is thin. But it was still pretty awesome! The pizza falls somewhere between traditional pizza and a flat-bread. The crusts are rolled into a thin long oval as opposed to a circle. Slices are cut off to order and flash warmed in the oven. the result is a crisp bite of heaven - the crust stays crisp and they don't over-do it with the toppings. One slice is plenty big to satisfy your appetite for lunch - maybe two slices for dinner or if you have a bigger appetite. There were more than a dozen topping pizzas to pick from and not your everyday mushroom, peperoni and onions. Think artisanal toppings like roasted veggies, prosciutto and caramelized onion. Very vegetarian friendly. If I recall correctly they had some selections with whole wheat crusts too. Nice selection of sodas and non-alcoholic drinks. Casual family-friendly atmosphere. Almost good enough to make the drive out to Wayne but I probably never will. But I will certainly make it a point to return if I am ever in the vicinity to return. read more

They will heat up the pizza in the coal fire oven and then bring it to you at your seat. They also provide free water. It is a very reasonably priced restaurant for the quality of pizza. On average about 4 slices of pizza is good for one person. They also offer take out boxes of pizza. The pizza itself is very yummy and moist. Very different, very good pizza with a healthy twist that is a clear hit in toney Wayne where the obesity epidemic is pretty much invisible. Their pies (if you can even call them that?) are long and rectangular with a very thin, crunchy crust. As others have mentioned, this might be more accurately described as flat bread. They specialize in organic, locally/sustainably-sourced ingredients and they also tend to go very light on the shredded mozz and anything else caloric or heavy. I'm not such a fan of their whole wheat crust (too dense and bready) and the white crust is so super thin anyway, it's not exactly a carb overload. What I do really like is their veggie options! There are a lot and all of those I've had have been great. "Pizza" done this way is an obvious fit for Wayne, where the majority of residents are total gym rats (my own parents included, no hate!) but my boyfriend and I also once ordered Jules to bring over to his parents house. They are a little less health-conscious and a little less "foodie" than I would expect the typical Jules enthusiast to be but the Cheese #1 (basically a plain pizza) and the Veggie #6 (artichokes, diced tomatoes, arugula, and cubed fresh mozz) were big hits with them so I'd venture to say it has a fair amount of "crowd pleaser" potential. Other pluses for Jules: it also looks like they're doing a gluten-free crust these days and you don't have to call ahead, you can walk in and order a "slice" (square?) or two to-go or to eat there - you don't usually see slices at any sort of "specialty" pizza spot but I think there's a big market for it so I think it's great (and smart) that they've oriented themselves towards that type of business.
