[1133] 12/2020 This Farmers market has limited parking so it was hard for me to find a space. This place reminds me of a smaller Reading Terminal market. It's cool and I Found a couple of good buys. If I'm in the area I would stop in again.

Bao Buns

This review is for Margaret Kuo's Stand. We always do Olympic themed meals and as China is the hosting committee, this was our first. The Bao buns, dumplings and Scallion pancake were so good and easily reheated.

Cucumber salad. You decide

Booths Corner WILLIAMSTOWN Farmers Mkt Amish Mkt @ Rt 202 & 926 Shady Maple Farm Mkt. these are ALL better imo. Today was exceptionally disappointing!! As a child I have fOND memories of my grandfather taking me there early in the mornings and getting warm delicious CRULLERS and everyone knew his name "Hey, Russell" they would shout!! I loved this! Now I go and I'm overlooked, underlooked, looked through and sometimes just Ignored!!! Racial bias has replaced the familiarity that I cherished and experienced decades ago with my grandfather. The food is quite overpriced and really not that great! READING TERMINAL market has delicious baby back RIBS! Worth the train ride! And Hershey Mkt has decent cucumber salad. The "quiche place" is where I received the worst " customer service" Ha ! That's a joke. Todays adventure prompted me to write this review, however, I've been dealing with this "poor service" problem for a while. Wayne is MY hometown but sadly I don't feel welcome here anymore when I'm treated with disrespect and differently than my white neighbors. The lady insisted on selling me older cucumber salad than what was just made and Displayed! (It's the principle folks!!) Yup it came down to freaking cucumbers! I asked for the freshly displayed batch but she took it from another dish and when I pointed that out she said it was the same (overflow so it was supposedly in a different container) well obviously it wasn't, IM NOT BLIND, ( just black) I said no it's not the same. She argued and gaslighted me. (IF it's the same then give me some from the batch I asked for) She did not. I love cucumbers so I know a FRESH one when I see it. I'm done!!! No mas. Rudeness, racially biased and overpriced, and over rated. This place and people have CHANGED and not for the better. IMO the only positive thing is it's convenient l. The $1 fresh coffee stand in the back is great. The fruit stand is good also, and Candy place, fresh pretzels!! Ardmore farmers Mkt is decent but$$$, And not RUDE!! That's ALL. My grandfather would be so disappointed. You decide I posted the pic.

Enjoy sitting at the tables and chairs drinking my coffee

Blueberry stuffed French toast

Absolutely delicious! I came to PA to visit my best friend. While she was at work on Friday, I walked to the market for breakfast. Rachael was an excellent cashier and Angelo was great in ensuring the food was perfect. I ordered the blueberry French toast, scrambled eggs, and bacon. The food was absolutely amazing. As seen in the pictures, the French toast was served with fresh strawberries, blueberries, bananas, and whipped cream. The food was so good I made my best friend come back with me for breakfast the next day just so she could try it. The food was worth coming again and again, but the excellent customer service was a great bonus!

If you visit the Lancaster County Farmers' Market for no other reason, come for a pretzel!…read more These are scratch made delicious soft pretzels, with no processed aftertaste! Auntie who? Mall pretzels, and Wawa cannot compare to Country Twist. Country Twist offers the straight up traditional PA Dutch salted, butter-coated pretzel, and then rotating flavor concoctions as well. You won't get savory here, not without butter (which IMO doesn't go with mustard, although it's on offer), this style of pretzel seems best garnished with sweetness. They do have pig-in-a-blanket "party dogs" in mini and regular sizes, which do call for mustard. I haven't tried the dogs, but the pretzels are excellent! They are constantly filling a sample plate, which is what sold me on the praline one. My husband got the chocolate chip and vanilla sugar, and somehow the cashier was confused and added a cinnamon and sugar one to our order? Anyway, it was under $9 for all three, after tax. They are HUGE and delicious. It took me an hour to work through mine, but every bite was delicious. I've had Bavarian pretzels at Haigis Fine Foods in Newtown Square, and of course, the Philly style bricks available in rows (like spare ribs) at every convenience store and hotdog stand in the Greater Phila Area. But homemade PA Dutch pretzels, are different, more of a bakery confection than a carby snack for the ballpark, or companion to a beer stein. So this style of pretzel, has its own appreciable distinction, and there is a reason Auntie Anne went national, but if you want a quality version, a real homemade pretzel, visit Country Twist!

Some highlights from this year (opened in May, I think): Daily Loaf : organic flaxseeds and whole-grain flour Marliscious: the pistachio torte cake is 3 fantastics layers of pistachio cake sandwiched between and enrobed in a pistachio-filled cream. I have not found a pistachio cake anywhere else and this is just delicious. The Prinzregententorte is amazing to even look at, with 8+ layers of super-thin sponge cake layered with chocolate cream and covered in a thin chocolate coating; it's very good and has just the right amount of sweetness. She doesn't always have every cake every time, but you can always order a particular flavor. Farm Fromage: creamy, organic goat cheese - it's delicious paired with a spring mix salad and glazed walnuts. Frecon Farms: hard cider. need I say more? Jimmies Cupcake Co.: James Taylor/Boston cream cupcake with a custard filling, vanilla cake, and chocolate frosting. Personally, I just like the names. Cupcakes taste pretty good, too, but aren't as fantastic as House of Cupcake's in Pton. Livengood Family Farm - grass fed ground sirloin - makes REALLY good, tender burgers MacDougall's Irish Victory Cake: You HAVE to try the sweet butter cake! It's rich, buttery, and full of simple, delicious goodness. They have other varieties but this is the traditional tried-and-true, and, in my opinion, the best. Definitely stop by if you live in the area and don't feel like driving down to Reading or Ardmore for your farmer's market goods. I only wish that they had more prepared foods and snacks, like sandwiches and roasted meats.

Originally cited in a municipal parking lot, a few years ago it moved to the grounds of Grace Chapel, 1/2 block away from it's original location. Yesterday was my first actual visit to the market, despite being in the area since before it's inception. It's one of those "Oh, shoot, I meant to go there and check it out" places. Finally, I did and am happy for it! This is not a large market. There were maybe 10 - 12 vendors there. Five of them were local farmers, including one selling organic heirloom vegetables. It was nice having the variety, so many farmer's markets these days have more soap, cake, flower, and other vendors and few actual food growers. The other five or so stands though were a nice variety. One sold beautiful fresh flower arrangements. One was a local butcher selling chicken, beef and pork. One was a charcuterie with interesting varieties of hand made sausage and salume. There was a gelato stand, a woman who makes unbelievably good cookies and a woman selling Irish Victory Cakes. That was new to me. What the heck are Irish Victory Cakes? Tecup sized bundt cakes full of cake heaven. (They also sell larger sized victory cakes). Yes, I bought them. No, I'm not sharing. Check out MacDougall's Irish Victory Cakes online. All of the stands were local, the farthest coming from South Jersey (vegetables, corn picked that day, mmmmmmmm) and Lancaster (the largest and sweetest non - Visalia sweet onion I have ever had, grilled perfection for dinner last night, folks). It's a nice place, friendly, well laid out, not too big to be overwhelming but big enough to offer a good variety. Parking is pretty easy, half the Chapel lot is reserved for visitor parking and there's also some parking on Darby and on the side streets. The market happens from 3- 7 PM every Wednesday during spring-summer-early fall. I'll definitely be back.
