    Burger, no cheese with fries
    Susan H.

We had intended to try another restaurant that was in the area but that didn't work out. So, we drove down Sudley Road to see if anything there caught our eye. That's how we came across Juke Box Diner. This diner has been around for quite some time. That told us that they still get customers coming in. We were here around 5 p.m. on a Saturday. When we entered, we noticed that the place was kept clean. Also, there were four booths that were occupied, with plenty of empty ones. No one works the host stand. It appears that servers are expected to greet and seat customers. To let them know customers are waiting, a buzzer (of sorts) goes off. Our server then came over and led us to a booth. We looked over the menu. I noticed that they serve breakfast items all day. Thus, I opted for a "create your own omelet". I chose to add American cheese, tomatoes, and bacon to mine. To drink, I had sweet iced tea. After taking my order, the server came back to ask me if I wanted hash browns or the cubed (not sure what they are called) potatoes. I chose the hash browns. She also asked if I wanted bread or an English muffin. I chose the English Muffin. My husband ordered a Fanta. To eat, he chose the "plain Jane Burger" with fries. Service from the kitchen was very slow. The other customers had left. We noticed that they got some takeout orders. When a worker came out of the kitchen, my husband asked where our food was. They said it was coming very soon. As for the food, my husband looked at my omelet and said he didn't think it was made properly. Still, it was okay, if not perfectly made. The hash browns were on the dry side. The English muffin was okay (not a "Thomas" one). As for my husband's meal, the burger was a bit overcooked, and the toppings were disappointing except for the pickle slices. Would we come back? Only if we're in the area for another reason. In other words, we won't go out of our way to eat here.

First time going to Jukebox Diner and had a great experience. Our waiter, Rauof, was amazing. He was entertaining and amazed us by how he was able to take our order for nine people, not write it down and got it all right. The food was good! We went after church so everyone was really hungry. Ordered a variety of things, waffles, savory crepes, Mediterranean dish, sandwich. Everyone was happy with their food. Great experience

Chicken pieces from the Annandale location

I visited Juke Box Diner in Manassas not realizing I tried it in Annandale, VA until it was too late. While I was ordering the same fried chicken sandwich, I asked the waiter whether it was a whole cutlet and shared my last experience with chicken fingers made to look like a whole chicken cutlet at a retro type diner? He assured me it was a whole chicken cutlet. When I realized it was the same diner, after talking to another waiter, he offered to change my order to a grill chicken instead of the fried sandwich. Although it was still chicken fingers made to look like a patty, it was better than the fried chicken I ordered at the Annandale location. The diner, service, and location were good. I just don't understand why the staff could not be honest when questioned about the chicken type.

We came here for some late night yumminess. Typical diner food with fantastic customer service. The Oreo milkshake was excellent as are the fries with gravy (disco fries). The menu is insane...whatever you had a taste for was on the menu. Clean establishment, clean restrooms. If we are in the area, we will definitely partake once more.

Turkey melt on white (Turkey, cheddar, tomato and bacon) with onion rings.

Enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Inside looks exactly how you would expect a 50s diner to look. Service was great and very punctual. Was so glad I could get the turkey melt on white bread versus the rye! Onion rings were very tasty and had a great crunch. I didn't even have to ask for ranch...

Second time in here for breakfast. Everyone is friendly and the service is great. The music and decor are a nice touch to the vibe of the place. Unfortunately the food is not very flavorful and the portions are small especially for the price. It's a neat place to try out but don't have too high of an expectation.

It's a diner folks. Read some reviews and have to say they annoyed me a bit. If you are up for breakfast or a sandwich, this is a nice decent diner with a 1950s theme. Noticed the gyro here has solid positive comments, too. For a diner, I was pleasantly surprised by the quantity of veggies in my vegetable omelette. My husband had an egg, bacon sandwich on rye bread. With drinks our meals came out to $30-ish. This is a decent price and pleasant food. Service has been prompt and polite both times we are here. Free unsolicited advice: if you don't want the diner experience then don't go to a diner.

The day was cold and the thought of hot burgers and fries was a welcoming thought. When we stepped inside, there was a welcoming atmosphere. To order, you have to get a paper menu, fill out what you want, and then take it to the cashier. Two cashiers met us at the front and immediately made sure our order was what we wanted and how we wanted it. We were given our cups for the fountain sodas and found a table. There were college football games on the two TVs near our table. I asked if one of the TVs could be changed to a particular game, but I was told a manager had to do that. A manager ended up coming to our table to ask how everything was - great! And then I asked if a TV could be changed. I was asked if there was a preference on which TV be changed - no. It was college rivalry weekend and I take college football seriously so I wanted to catch this game. About the food, the burger I got was delicious and flavorful! The portion of fries was generous and it was a half basket. My daughter got a basket and had to take some home because it was a lot! She said her burger was really good, too. We will definitely make our way back here if we find ourselves back In Manassas!

My burger wasn't even warm to the point where the cheese was still cold and didn't melt. The fries were burned. I could have made better burgers at home and saved myself $50. The staff was dismissive and rude. For example I ordered a full size fry and when the orders arrived and my husbands half order of fries was larger than mine I brought it to the servers attention and he dismissed it. I didn't have the energy to argue. I just wanted to get out of there. I really hope management reads this and makes some changes bc this place won't last long at the rate it's going.

After checking in, we were quickly guided upstairs to a cozy, rounded booth--an intimate and perfect spot for two. Our server, Katie, was fantastic--attentive, knowledgeable, and refreshingly honest when helping us choose between dishes. We started with the deviled eggs and fried green tomatoes, paired with the Black Sheep Mule and a watermelon cocktail (wish I remembered the name!). For our mains, we ordered the short rib rigatoni and the steak bulgogi bowl. To finish, we shared the weekly dessert special: an Earl Grey tres leches. Everything was exactly what I hoped for and more. The starters were standout, the entrees were packed with flavor, and the overall aesthetic of the space was just beautiful. We'll definitely be back--next time for brunch!

I loved this as other places I checked into were much more restrictive with a higher minimum spend and fixed menus for groups larger than 8. We had 12 in our group. We started with a bunch of appetizers for the table and cocktails. Appetizers included the bacon tower, fried green tomatoes, hushpuppies, crispy chicken wings, and Mediterranean garlic shrimp. Dinner entreés were jambalaya pasta, the American wagyu burger, pulled short rib rigatoni and branzino almondine. There were zero complaints. We enjoyed EVERYTHING!!
