Yep, 5 stars. Coffee was decent, especially for a diner. Had the chicken fried steak breakfast which was tasty, as was the gravy. Can't beat the excellent home fries. What a great dining experience. I ordered the Spanish omelet, I polished that plate clean away. My kid (7yrs) got the Julius special (1 egg, bacon, and 1 hotcake) and enjoyed it very much. Cute, little classic diner. The menu was what you'd expect from a diner, extensive, but this wasn't overwhelming. Prices seemed very reasonable. I was going to try the hot, open-face roast beef, but they were out so I went with the chicken fried steak with home fries and onion rings. Home fries and onion rings were perfect! The chicken fried steak was fine, probably a quick deep fry and like a chopped steak. My wife had the blueberry pancakes, bacon, and eggs. What's funny is I like a thin pancake, so these looked right up my alley, but she tends to prefer the fluffier version. read more

BEWARE: do not order drinks before looking at the menu because breakfast meals come with coffee or hot tea. They give a very meager discount if you do not order coffee or hot tea. Rather than just charge the 50 cent difference they charge for the iced tea. The server was a bit rude but did an ok job. I ordered the "Abigail Special." The food came quickly. The omelet was hot, but the "home fries" were luke warm. The potatoes were not fried, but tasted as if they were baked then cut up into chunks. A bit of catsup helped with the dryness of the potatoes. The omelet tasted great. The sweet tea was good. I came for a visit with a few friends on a road trip. We were excited to visit this quaint old American diner. We learned that this diner has been around since 1955, only having changed owners 5 times since opening. Dining here felt like being a part of history. The food is solid for the low price. I got the Noah's Special: country fried steak, home fries, 2 eggs (scrambled by my choice), and toast. Everything was good, and I'm very happy with their country fried steak. One of my friends got biscuits and gravy along with a side of grits. She LOVED this dish and said that it was some of the best biscuits and gravy she has ever had! My other friend got an omelette loaded with a bunch of toppings and also said it was very good. Comparing this to other diners I've been to, this food was definitely better! The service was also very quick. A few things to know before your visit: this place is cash only. They do have an ATM in front with a $1.99 charge to use it. Also, you will need to seat yourself. The business: I got my order to go but from what I could observe the place looked clean. They are a "cash only" business and have an ATM on premises. If you have issues supporting a business that employs practices that are commonly used to cheat taxes then this might be an issue for you. Not saying they are cheating, just pointing the practice out FYI The food: I ordered pancakes W/ sausage to go. I got 3 decent size pancakes with 2 round style sausage Patties. 1 butter filled container and 3 "Sysco" syrups were provided. From the ingredients list it looks to be flavored corn syrup. The pancakes had a doughy texture, and were stuck together. No real flavor at all. Feels like it's just a generic mix and no one is being creative by adding any extra flavor here. Sausage tasted decent Price: I paid 9.96 which is a little more than I would expect to pay for generic diner pancakes but it's not outrageous. I would prefer to pay a couple extra bucks and get some vanilla or cinnamon flavor and some real syrup. Overall next time I will probably just go to IHOP. Moments ago at 1059am today my and my friend sat at the bar counter. The cook a male about 40 years of age was preparing food on the grill in front of us. There are some packages of bread on the counter in front of us. We loved one of the a little to give us space to read our menus. He glared at us and abruptly said in a negative tone of voice, "you have a problem with that". I was surprised wondering what he was saying to me. He then said, "you live my bread and moved the bread packages to directly in front of me" and glared angrily. We commented back how rude he was and left. Because of the regulars that have been eating here for ages. Had lunch there with another person today. I had the Fried Chicken with Pickled Beets and Cole Slaw for my sides; she had a club sandwich with chips. We both had soft drinks with our meal. The Fried Chicken was AWESOME! Honey breaded, perfectly crispy, not greasy at all. More than I could finish. She said the club sandwich was very good and took the last quarter of it home. The service was very friendly, nice and good despite being very busy today at lunch. The ambiance is Classic Diner. All at a very affordable $26 + tip for lunch for two. Had breakfast here late this morning - amazingly enough - again no cigarette smoking was taking place during my visit and the place did not smell like old smoke. I had the special - Sausage gravy and biscuits with a side of home fries (breakfast potatoes) and a cup of coffee. The biscuits were excellent - flaky and delicious. However, the Sausage gravy was not very sausage-y, I added black pepper and Texas Pete's hot sauce to it to at least give it some flavor. The potatoes were also kind of "meh." An Average diner...bring cash. Went here for lunch today about 1230p. It was busy, sat at the lunch counter and got quick service. Cup O' Coffe and a menu. Coffee...average. They had a chalk board with several Thursday specials. The Chicken Soup with a chicken patty looked interesting and when I asked Flo if the chicken was white meat she said " I don't know honey, it's chicken and it's fried".
