What a sweet diner - food was excellent & cooked perfectly ... even down to requested extra crispy bacon. Waitress was super and on top of all our needs. This place is a Warrenton gem.

Visiting Virginia for a few days and this place popped up in my search for breakfast food. VERY glad we stopped in. Clean, good ventilation and fast friendly service. Coffee was fresh and PERFECT. Food was delicious, huge portions, and reasonably priced. Very authentic diner experience. Open 24/7. Cash only. ATM on site.

Chicken fried steak with home fries and onion rings. Blueberry pancakes, bacon, and eggs

Cute, little classic diner. The menu was what you'd expect from a diner, extensive, but this wasn't overwhelming. Prices seemed very reasonable. I was going to try the hot, open-face roast beef, but they were out so I went with the chicken fried steak with home fries and onion rings. Home fries and onion rings were perfect! The chicken fried steak was fine, probably a quick deep fry and like a chopped steak. My wife had the blueberry pancakes, bacon, and eggs. What's funny is I like a thin pancake, so these looked right up my alley, but she tends to prefer the fluffier version.

The restaurant was quite busy when we arrived, however; there was a table available so we seated ourselves. Our server came right over with menus and took our drink order. BEWARE: do not order drinks before looking at the menu because breakfast meals come with coffee or hot tea. They give a very meager discount if you do not order coffee or hot tea. Rather than just charge the 50 cent difference they charge for the iced tea. The server was a bit rude but did an ok job. I ordered the "Abigail Special." The food came quickly. The omelet was hot, but the "home fries" were luke warm. The potatoes were not fried, but tasted as if they were baked then cut up into chunks. A bit of catsup helped with the dryness of the potatoes. The omelet tasted great. The sweet tea was good. The table was cluttered with all kinds of items. (see photo) Not sure if we will return.

After many years of living in the area, I finally tried this place out. It's a classic old school diner. They were busy but the service was quick. The portions, prices and quality of food were all really good. I will definitely make it a point to stop back in. As some of the other reviews state, it is cash only but they do have an ATM just before you go in.

It's a diner, not the Inn at Little Washington. The food is what the menu says. Get in, order, get out. Hearty breakfast. Cash only.

The daily special appetizer of a puff pastry bake stuffed with spinach & artichoke, along with fresh baked bread set our expectations for the best in taste, and creativity all evening. Our entrée selections were two of the daily specials: Prime Rib au jus, horseradish cream sauce, baked potato with butter, chives & sour cream, green beans, and the Lemon Herb Roasted Halibut served over spring vegetable sauté of baby potatoes, asparagus, carrots. I tried to pay my tab multiple times but eventually I had to interrupt his discussion with the other patron to ask for my tab then he acted surprised! I don't know what to think of this place, they want to compete within Warrenton but they run a 3rd rate operation! The bar was dirty the back bar was in disarray, they didn't have club soda, the bartender made a lemon martini but added olive juice and garnished with a lemon twist. The last time I visited the bartender was rude and the food was terrible. I don't see this place lasting another year, I don't understand how it is sustainable with the high prices and low quality food and drink. I know someone that worked there briefly (10+ years food & beverage experience), they confirmed it's run by people that don't know what they are doing and they don't want to listen to critical feedback from the employees or the customers. Don't waste your time or money go to Denim & Pearls or Mollys for a cocktail or food, this place sucks.

Their rooms are spread out in different buildings, I think I stayed at the Lodge. The rooms were clean, decent sized with standard amenities like a coffee machine. There are flashlight lanterns for walking at night as well as bikes you can use to get around the grounds. Wifi on the grounds was pretty good. I reserved the 12 PM Sunday Easter Lunch this year for my family of nine for $890.40, including seven adults and two elementary school children or a total of nine. It was raining quite heavily during our drive down. Luckily when we arrived a little before noon the rain had changed to a light drizzle. Needless to say the weather was not good on Easter Sunday. We parked our vehicle. The atrium was a short walk from the parking lot. When we checked into the atrium entrance we were immediately directed to our table for nine. Luckily they had some coat racks so we could hang our rain gear. The bar was set up outside the pavilion. Six fluted champagne drinks paired with peach, pear and pomegranate were available for $12 each. I enjoyed my two glasses of Roget champagne for $12 each. Complimentary canned carbonated drinks were provided to our two elementary school children. The prime rib was decent, but the lollipop lamb chops were too tough. My other family members also complained about the tough lollipop lamb chops. I only ate one. I enjoyed the snow crab claws the most. My cupcake and small mousse were acceptable. We departed before the next 2 PM lunch reservations arrived. The restrooms are located outside of the atrium up a staircase, which was not convenient. Overall our family of nine and I did not think that this Easter Day lunch was not worth $100 per person excluding alcohol. We will not return here for either Easter or Mother's Day brunch/lunch in the future. Also because of the poor rainy weather an egg hunt was not included. I found another yelper Brandon, who attended the same lunch as my family. Brandon immediately posted a 1 star negative yelp review. Please read it for another customer's perspective of the same event. I found that reviews ranged from 1 to 5 stars so this place is not consistent in ratings. The variation in ratings seems to be due to whether you attended only a conference/housing event or other non-housing event such as Easter Brunch/Lunch. You can judge for yourself by reading all reviews and deciding if you want to visit here for an event. Don't get me wrong, but the natural grounds and pond here are quite nice. That is worth your visit. My review is mainly regarding the Sunday Easter Lunch.
