I ate one of the most tender and moist fried chicken breasts that I have ever tasted. the mashed potatoes were fresh, hot and creamy, two types of gravy were offered and both the cornbread and biscuits were tender, flavorful and delicious. The broccoli was steamed but not not floppy and the green salad was a generous portion of green goodness. I could only eat about half of the offerings and the price was less that $12. from where I was sitting, my daughter's bar be que chicken and Mac and cheese looked great and my granddaughters child portion of turkey dinner was as delicious and generous as the adult meals. We will return here again! absolutely amazing!

You get nice proportions and food isn't too salty. I have no complaints and I rather go here over Cracker Barrel! Fight me... Lol!! I usually order the pancakes or French toast. The only complaint I do have is the size of the onions they cut with the potatoes they could cut them a little smaller. Lol! I bit into what I thought was a potato and nope.. It was a damn quarter sized onion lol!

Veteran-owned. it serves classic, comforting American dishes that feel familiar in the best way. Breakfast is available all day, which is always a win, and everything comes out fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The coffee deserves its own mention: bold, fresh, and honestly excellent. Portions are just right, prices are moderate, and nothing feels rushed or careless. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the kind of place you immediately feel comfortable settling into. Chris (Gosh I hope I got his name right) , the owner, is meticulous and clearly takes immense pride in his establishment, and it shows in every detail--from the food to the service. A true local gem that's easy to overlook but hard to forget once you've been.

The menu is filled with all the popular breakfast items (pancakes, omeletes, bisucits & gravy, etc). A sign says that they have the best coffee and I will say it was pretty good! We tried their biscuits & gravy and also their country fried steak. The gravy on both was rather basic and bland, lacking black pepper which we're used to in breakfast sausage gravy. The potatoes looked like they were nicely seasoned, but were a little on the bland side and needed lots of salt & pepper. The scrambled eggs were decent. Service overall was adequate. Overall, it was decent. We can see why they're popular, though we prefer a little more seasonings in our food.

Ok, we are regulars here! The food and service is just fantastic!…read more We continue to find seating at the counter the quickest way to be seated if they are busy. Case in point... Mother's Day was super crowded but we were able to quickly get seats at the counter. Plus at the counter there are several servers walking by that will help if you need anything. Big kudos to Theresa and Sarah who are always attentive and super friendly. Our favorites have been the Western omelette with pepper jack cheese. The fresh ingredients, including onions and bell peppers are just delicious. Definitely get the biscuit and home fries. We think the biscuits are made at the diner. The crab melt is another favorite. It's well balanced with the filling and crab. You will not go wrong with this dish.

But driving by on weekends, and seeing the crowds bursting out the door, we deferred visiting the Vienna Carnegie Diner. Instead, on our first time, we came midday on a weekday and there weren't that many people and we were seated immediately. Overall, service was fine, though a bit in disarray because we had two different servers ask if we were ready to order. We both ordered the very good Chicken Salad sandwich. It's huge and really makes for two meals. It comes with very decent fries and an excellent side salad that has been drizzled with two different tasty dressings. We saw lentil soup on the menu, and if it's like the lentil soup at the Carnegie Diners in NYC, I highly recommend it. We absolutely will be back.

What she received was Sunrise Retirement Home Basil pasta. It was bland and flavorless, lonely and sad. The pesto appeared to be powdered basil mixed with strong olive oil. Sliced cherry tomatoes accompanied the dish for reasons unknown. The nearest roasted pine nuts in this pesto were still on a shelf at the grocery store. I, however, ordered the bowl of chili. As it appears in a photo in the menu. I did not receive a bowl. I received an espresso sized cup of chili for $15.95. And lots of tortilla chips. In all honesty this appetizer should be called "a plate of tortilla chips with a spritzer of chili on the side. Last but not least...there were no $5 dollar shakes on this menu but there was $5 for a bottomless cup of coffee. Too expensive for lunch. Too expensive for dinner. Too expensive for breakfast. Service was fantastic. The wait staff there is the best in the area.

As a senior army officer, I value professionalism, discipline, and mutual respect--qualities I unfortunately found entirely lacking in the service provided by my waitress. During my visit, I was subjected to a series of unprofessional behaviors that were both disrespectful and disruptive to the dining environment: Aggressive Mannerisms: The waitress repeatedly slammed dishes and glassware down on my table with unnecessary force. Lack of Discretion: When presenting the check, she loudly yelled out the total amount of the bill in front of other patrons, which was highly inappropriate and unprofessional. Disparate Treatment: I observed her treating other parties with a level of courtesy and attentiveness that was pointedly withheld from me. General Demeanor: Her overall attitude was dismissive and overtly rude throughout the meal. For identification purposes, the server was a female of minority descent, approximately 5 feet tall with a heavy-set build. I have long respected Tun Tavern for its historical significance and its ties to military tradition. However, the treatment I received was inconsistent with the standards of hospitality one would expect from your establishment. I believe it is important for management to be aware of this incident so that it can be addressed through proper training or disciplinary measures. I and my wife chosed to go eat at your establishment, especially with my family service to the United States Marine Corpss (three cousins; retired CSM, SSG (decesased) and enlisted (obligatged tour of duty). I even emailed to museum coordinator and the post. No reply. I seems those especially those people in the Tavern restaurant chose not to show customer service and the mannerisms are were poor among their staff especially the waitress along with the management ignoring the customers. And the Marines want one (Tun Tavern) again in Philadelphia.
