I ate one of the most tender and moist fried chicken breasts that I have ever tasted. the mashed potatoes were fresh, hot and creamy, two types of gravy were offered and both the cornbread and biscuits were tender, flavorful and delicious. The broccoli was steamed but not not floppy and the green salad was a generous portion of green goodness. I could only eat about half of the offerings and the price was less that $12. from where I was sitting, my daughter's bar be que chicken and Mac and cheese looked great and my granddaughters child portion of turkey dinner was as delicious and generous as the adult meals. We will return here again! absolutely amazing!

You get nice proportions and food isn't too salty. I have no complaints and I rather go here over Cracker Barrel! Fight me... Lol!! I usually order the pancakes or French toast. The only complaint I do have is the size of the onions they cut with the potatoes they could cut them a little smaller. Lol! I bit into what I thought was a potato and nope.. It was a damn quarter sized onion lol!

What a fantastic surprise!…read more My fiancé and I were in town visiting friends and originally planned to go to Waffle House for breakfast, but the wait was crazy. My brother, who lives in the Stafford area and is a serious foodie, recommended Widewater Grill. Honestly, it's the kind of place you could easily drive right past without realizing what you're missing. We are so glad we stopped. I had Uncle Richard's Breakfast with eggs, green peppers and onions, bacon, home-fried potatoes, and French toast. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked exactly right. The home fries tasted truly homemade, which is harder to find than you'd think. The coffee was excellent, served in a real mug, and I loved being able to refill it myself. My fiancé ordered the 12-ounce strip steak cooked medium, and he hasn't stopped talking about it. He said it was cooked perfectly, which is something even many chain restaurants struggle to get right. What really stood out was the atmosphere. The service was friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The restaurant has that local, family-run feel that immediately makes you comfortable. As a retired Marine family, we also appreciated the Marine Corps traditions and military pride displayed throughout the restaurant. Great food, great service, great conversation, and a genuinely welcoming atmosphere. We'll absolutely be back the next time we're in the area. Highly recommend!

Veteran-owned. it serves classic, comforting American dishes that feel familiar in the best way. Breakfast is available all day, which is always a win, and everything comes out fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The coffee deserves its own mention: bold, fresh, and honestly excellent. Portions are just right, prices are moderate, and nothing feels rushed or careless. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the kind of place you immediately feel comfortable settling into. Chris (Gosh I hope I got his name right) , the owner, is meticulous and clearly takes immense pride in his establishment, and it shows in every detail--from the food to the service. A true local gem that's easy to overlook but hard to forget once you've been.

The Woodbridge Silver Dinner is a very busy place today. The ambience and moods seem to be running on happy high octane. The sounds of meals being prepared along with the smells are mouth watering. Evidently, I must be hungry. Upon being shown to our table by a young lady with short hair, we learned from the lady which specials are available for brunch. The lady reminded me of Rhea Ripley. Someone I vaguely remember seeing before I stopped watching WWE. Now she is very popular and I see how she looks now. The lady who seated us remind me of a young Rhea Ripley, but with the short black hair and a bit of the gothic vibe. All of these passed through my head as our host was talking to us. I think this host lady will be making it big very soon. Our server's name is David, but he likes to go by the name DJ. DJ took our orders and the were brought to us pretty quickly. I appreciate DJ informing us that the Rootbeer I would have ordered was flat. The soda machine appeared to be out of the C02...or something else all together. I ended up sticking with good old H20. I ordered the Belgian Waffle&Eggs. Since I do not eat eggs, I substituted the eggs for the new menu item called Home Fries with Caramelized Onions. My wife ordered the French Toast and Eggs with an order of Home Fries with Caramelized Onions, as well. The food was delicious as it almost always is. We saw and heard DJ talking to other guests in his high friendly energy he puts out. Unfortunately, one customer didn't seem to be enjoying himself and got loud and rude with DJ and a customer. Things could have ugly, but they didn't. Cooler heads prevailed dispite Rude Boy taking his anger out on other customers. Whether or not his wife, girlfriend or sister was embarrassed by his rude boy manners, Rihanna's message of the Rude Boy song needs to be upgraded...without the sexual innuendos to her. The other option, "Everything He Owns In A Box To The Left." I am digressing. Back to the subject at hand. DJ is a grown man and handled Rude Boy's remarks and fixed the issue. DJ apologize to his guests for the Rude Boys outbursts. Just another day at Silver Dinner if you don't let rude remarks hit you/bother you like a bat out of hell. The staff members seem pretty down to earth and they all worked together to get food out to the guests. Yes, mistakes can happen, but it's how the problem(s) are handled. We will definitely be back.

Even though it was pretty busy, we were seated immediately, and I was especially grateful to be seated in a quieter corner where the tables were more to the side instead of directly behind us. It was a stressful moment because my autistic son was having a really hard time and was clearly overwhelmed. Our server was wonderful, but the manager, Joy, was truly an angel sent at the perfect time. Not only did she remember our family from a previous visit, but after we explained that our son is autistic and was struggling in the moment, she immediately went to the back and returned with markers, paper, gemstone stickers, a timer, and more -- almost like she was fully prepared for children with sensory needs. I honestly can't express how much that meant to us. Her timing couldn't have been better, and we will forever be grateful for her kindness and compassion. On top of that, when my food came out, my steak wasn't cooked the way I requested. I honestly wasn't even planning to say anything, but Joy noticed I wasn't eating it and asked how I had ordered it cooked. When I explained, she kindly offered to remove it from the check. Managers like Joy are rare and so deeply appreciated. The food was great, but truthfully, Joy is what made this experience unforgettable. You can tell she's not only an amazing manager, but also a genuinely good person with a caring heart. Thank you, Joy, for making such a lasting impression on our family. Silver Diner is lucky to have you!

I was intrigued by the pastrami sandwich options on the menu and really appreciated that gluten free bread was an option, so I had to try it! I was not disappointed at all. The sandwich was hefty - packed with meat, and flavorful. I'm not sure I liked the pile of salad that comes on the side - it's a lot to finish for one person and seems a bit wasteful. The service was good, but the sandwiches did take a bit longer than expected to come out. That might not be the case for other dishes though. I would certainly visit again!

2 out of 3 isn't bad, but it's not great, either…read more Like other diners here in NYC and elsewhere, Carnegie has a huge menu and serves generous portions at appropriate prices. For example, yesterday, I had their Peter's Special, a sandwich made from 1/2 lb of pastrami and 1/2 lb of corned beef. Except that it's not "a" sandwich, but three, all on delicious rye bread, each with its own pickle, and a small helping of slaw, sauerkraut, and a major pile of salad. It was my lunch yesterday; the remaining two sandwiches are my lunch today and tomorrow. That's three meals for $30, which, to me, is a reasonable price. The problem was that the more they do to create the food, the less flavorful it is. For example, on another recent visit, I had their Country Style Omelet. Again, it was huge and contained everything that goes into a great omelet. Except, there wasn't a lot of flavor. And that seems to be the theme. I grabbed a slice of their 24-layer cake and, again, big but not much taste beyond sweetness. If you crave a lot of food, then this might be the spot for you. However, if you prefer less and more, smaller portions with better, more nuanced flavor, then maybe try one of the other nearby restaurants.

As a senior army officer, I value professionalism, discipline, and mutual respect--qualities I unfortunately found entirely lacking in the service provided by my waitress. During my visit, I was subjected to a series of unprofessional behaviors that were both disrespectful and disruptive to the dining environment: Aggressive Mannerisms: The waitress repeatedly slammed dishes and glassware down on my table with unnecessary force. Lack of Discretion: When presenting the check, she loudly yelled out the total amount of the bill in front of other patrons, which was highly inappropriate and unprofessional. Disparate Treatment: I observed her treating other parties with a level of courtesy and attentiveness that was pointedly withheld from me. General Demeanor: Her overall attitude was dismissive and overtly rude throughout the meal. For identification purposes, the server was a female of minority descent, approximately 5 feet tall with a heavy-set build. I have long respected Tun Tavern for its historical significance and its ties to military tradition. However, the treatment I received was inconsistent with the standards of hospitality one would expect from your establishment. I believe it is important for management to be aware of this incident so that it can be addressed through proper training or disciplinary measures. I and my wife chosed to go eat at your establishment, especially with my family service to the United States Marine Corpss (three cousins; retired CSM, SSG (decesased) and enlisted (obligatged tour of duty). I even emailed to museum coordinator and the post. No reply. I seems those especially those people in the Tavern restaurant chose not to show customer service and the mannerisms are were poor among their staff especially the waitress along with the management ignoring the customers. And the Marines want one (Tun Tavern) again in Philadelphia.
