Breakfast burrito
Aleka P.

The breakfast burrito was delicious! It was such a random craving but I had to have it. I had the home fries as a side and they were very well seasoned. Had to top the meal off with a chocolate chip cookie... chef kiss! The service wasn't that great but the food was good so if I'm in the area I'll go back!

*Know that this restaurant is located on the Quantico Marine base. If you don't have a military ID (or an ID that allows you to get on base), you will not be able to get to the restaurant.* This place is the definition of a greasy spoon diner. With limited seating, old wood paneling decor, OJ containers turned into water carafes, and a bar that has been repurposed as a hold-everything-but-conceal-none-of-it area, this patriot watering hole is only missing indoor smoking. My wife and I stumbled upon this place because we desperately needed diner food in our lives; spolier alert, diner food is exactly what we got. I ordered the breakfast burrito and she settled for just a cheeseburger and fries. The breakfast burrito came with salsa and crispy homemade homefries. The burrito was the perfect balance of meat, cheese, and egg stuffed into a delightfully soft yet chewy torilla (10-Stars). The cheeseburger oozed greasy goodness all over the place. The fries were nice and crunchy, but needed seasoning. The entire meal was delicious! Things to note: The diner is only open until 2:00 pm, so get there soon. Also, it fills up quick, so get there early. Don't seat yourself. If you do, prepare to be reseated by the staff. The staff appears to be family and there, from what I saw, are only three of them; however, that does not slow them down. We did not get the ramen but a lot of patrons did, so it must be good (I'll try it next time). The bathroom is old and very small. I do not recommend going in when someone else is in there, even though it can fit two. My wife described this place a chintzy in appearance and presentation. I agree; however, that does not take away from how delicious and tasty it was. We will defeinlty return for the Ramen. If you can get on base, enjoy.

S&G is a classic place to go on the Mainside Quantico Base. It is always full of people chatting up good conversations. The atmosphere feels as if everyone has there own lives going on, but they all came to get some good food. The service isn't always friendly, but they'll get you what you want & do it quickly. I ordered the breakfast croissant with egg, cheese, bacon and cheddar cheese. It was tasty and the croissant was nice and flaky. My friends ordered the French toast combo, bulgogi ramen and Philly cheesesteak. All three they said were average.

Good food at decent prices. I'd eat here again. Covid precautions are in place. I had the BLT w/ avocado on toast. My daughter had pancakes, the portions were very generous.

Great small town cafe. Food tastes amazing and what you would expect from a home style cafe. Breakfast meals are great and lunch sandwiches are delicious.

My husband and I love coming here for breakfast, which is served all day! We want to try other menu items but we end up always ordering the same thing every time we go because it's so good! The attached photo is our usual order: French toast combo and French toast Royale combo. We highly recommend this place. Great food, great service! :)

Breakfast burrito with hash brown and salsa sauce.

Came here for brunch with co workers and I ordered the breakfast burrito and it was stuffed with a choice of meat [bacon], eggs, green pepper, tomato, and I think onions. It came out all nice and hot with a side of hash brown. It was delicious. The place looks clean and so does their cups and utensils. Their prices are priced lower than their neighboring restaurants. You pay up front when you are done! And their water don't taste like sink water!

Best Bibimpap I have ever had, hands down! Hubby had the chicken salad which was also outstanding.

Chicken ramen is SO GOOD. I'm obsessed with it and order it so much the waitress already knows what I want when I get there.

Veteran-owned. it serves classic, comforting American dishes that feel familiar in the best way. Breakfast is available all day, which is always a win, and everything comes out fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The coffee deserves its own mention: bold, fresh, and honestly excellent. Portions are just right, prices are moderate, and nothing feels rushed or careless. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the kind of place you immediately feel comfortable settling into. Chris (Gosh I hope I got his name right) , the owner, is meticulous and clearly takes immense pride in his establishment, and it shows in every detail--from the food to the service. A true local gem that's easy to overlook but hard to forget once you've been.

The menu is filled with all the popular breakfast items (pancakes, omeletes, bisucits & gravy, etc). A sign says that they have the best coffee and I will say it was pretty good! We tried their biscuits & gravy and also their country fried steak. The gravy on both was rather basic and bland, lacking black pepper which we're used to in breakfast sausage gravy. The potatoes looked like they were nicely seasoned, but were a little on the bland side and needed lots of salt & pepper. The scrambled eggs were decent. Service overall was adequate. Overall, it was decent. We can see why they're popular, though we prefer a little more seasonings in our food.

So this is my second time to this establishment. Came with coworkers who all say it's a great local…read morespot. They normally come in the morning. Today we're here at 1:30pm. The boy working behind the counter with the eyebrow piercing was for no other term rude. The screen menus were not working and my coworker mentioned it and the worker said "If you look around there are other places the menu is." Which rub me wrong but maybe he was just joking in a weird sarcasm way. So I order one of the monthly special lattes and ask for it blended because it's afternoon and warm and it's more of a treat now than a coffee time. He audibly scoffed, rolled his eyes and said "you want it blendeeeed?" I said yes please. He then proceeded to mumble under his breath "great now I gotta clean that." So yeah the customer friendliness leaves a bit to be desired.

I visited on Sunday, March 22 during a soccer tournament with my son and his friend for a quick bite. Before ordering, I specifically asked our server, Antonio, how long the food would take. He told us 5-10 minutes. We waited patiently for about 20 minutes before I went to check on our order, only to be told that the kitchen hadn't even started it. He said we will refund tomorrow, and that he didn't have the authority and that it would be processed "tomorrow." He didn't take my name, number, or any information so it was unclear how that would even happen. On top of that, his attitude was dismissive and unprofessional, making it feel like I was inconveniencing him just for asking about an order and how will he keep track on who he's refunding while we had already been waiting! This experience was extremely frustrating and disappointing especially with kids waiting. Lack of communication, poor service, and no follow-up make this feel like a complete rip-off.
