I was on a short timeline and out of convenience decided to stop in here. I've been in here many times over the years, but this time was pretty disappointing. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich with a side of fries. I waited a long time for some reason. I witnessed several others get there food well before me even though they ordered after me. One of the go to spots in Q-Town on MCB Quantico and definitely the best diner in town. They serve a variety of delicious menu items for breakfast and lunch with weekly food specials. Amazing food, but the establishment doesn't look well taken care of. Dust on appliances, food on floor, supplies hoarded behind register, old menus, meager chip supply. I ordered a chicken and cheese sandwich (6 inch) in a combo. The sandwich surprised me with how good it was. I would compare it to something out of firehouse subs (if you're into them). It's a heart attack- marinated beef, mayo, lettuce, tomato, and some other coronary-inducing sauce. The owner is nice and the service is relatively fast. Turkey Cusabi! (cusabi = cucumber + wasabi, who knew?) So unbelievably delicious and sinus clearing - not to mention fast, cheap and fresh. We wandered in here on a Saturday afternoon, and it was dead. I've been back to this place a few times and been meaning to update. I really like this place. They are very quick, even when lines look long and everything I've had so far is really good. The daily special is usually quite good. After reading the espresso review, I tried some of their americano and latte drinks and they were great! My favorite is a suggestion made by the owner consisting of fried,freshly battered fish, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, onion and spicy mustard wrapped in a spinach flavored tortilla shell. Great little place and find! We stumbled upon this place while running errands on base. Q-town has a lot of sandwich and pizza spots, but the yelp reviews helped us decide to go here. The steak and cheese was made with real steak and was delicious and fresh. I ordered the California turkey wrap along with a strawberry banana smoothie. Again - fresh was the key! The wrap had bean sprouts and avocado which are some of my favorites on sandwiches. They offer combos hat come with crinkle cut fries and a fountain drink. Good stuff all around - we will be back! Bulgogi Sub, California Chicken Sub, Taco Rice. My recommendations (in that order) the next time you have the chance to check out My Deli. Tiny spot with only a few tables and some bar top seating, but the food's amazing. The Service is always fast and friendly no matter how crowded the restaurant is. It's a hole in the wall, but that can be said for just about every restaurant in Q-Town. Mostly I grab my food to go, but if you're not visiting during the lunch hour, it's pretty easy to snag a seat. Eat here, you won't be disappointed. read more

The food is is pretty cheap compares to other places. They seem to over use their paper menu as it was pretty crumbled up. It's was pretty busy and they seem to not have enough staff as it took a while before a waitress comes to my table. The table was a little sticky and the salt and pepper and ketchup bottles seem a bit dirty. I ordered a breakfast burrito and homemade fries, the burrito was already, not too greasy, the fried was very mushy and seem like it was done beforehand and they just warmed it up before tossing it on the plate. read more

This is an update of my review from last June (2011). We continue to frequent My Deli but now just about exclusively! Breakfast, lunchtime, it just can't be beat...they are so flexible, fast, friendly, and tasty! The decor hasn't changed any, still late 20th century junky but the food and friendly staff more than compensate. Also, the prices are still outstanding. One discovery of note is their Bacon Cheeseburger Sub, an artery-clogging, gut-busting delight, a real American dish as in Way TOO Much! :D My Deli also serves gourmet coffees and teas which just makes this place all that more of an amazing business. Their daily specials are delightful and yummy-licious: chicken curry rice, bughogi (Korean style marinated ribeye steaks), many more. My husband loves their cheese steak with fried eggs sandwich. It's filled with fresh ingredients and whole lot of sliced ribeye steak (not one if those imitation meat). Their spicy chicken with rice is definitely two thumbs up. Okay, you get the idea that we enjoy their food. Let's review their coffee beverages. Excellent!! I am an avid coffee drinker and have attended several coffee tastings (just like wine tastings). I get breakfast and lunch from My Deli at least twice a week. It's hard to stay away from a place that serves such tasty food! The service is amazing and they won't take long to get your order ready. I went here today for the first time, and got a bulgogi sub with no mayo. Good: 1) Very helpful and friendly service 2) Food came quickly even though they were very busy (I think I wait 5 minutes total) 3) Cheap ($8 total for sandwich and a naked juice) 4) Hot, juicy steak on the sandwich, was cooked well (not over or under done). Sizeable portions of meat. 5) Convenient location, parking nearby Not so good: 1) The bulgogi was reaaaaally salty. Neutral: 1) It's a small store, and get's really crowded at lunch time (that's a good sign), so you might not be able to get seating. No problem, just get it to go and eat outside or at your office. 2) This is pretty much exclusively a sandwich shop, so keep that in mind, with some things like turkey clubs and steak and cheese and fried chicken sandwiches. There are some drinks, a few sides (fruit, fries, etc) and one desert that I saw (cheesecake). Overall: I might come back here once in a while... I just won't get the bulgogi again. read more

Didn't know what a Cuban was. I asked if they made them because I didn't see them on the menu board and was afraid I over looked it. She said that they did but when I got my sandwich it was more of a random meat sandwich. Wasn't pressed or anything either. This is the best Deli in Q town. You definitely get your monies worth as well. I really like their breakfast croissant and breakfast burritos. They also have chicken noodle soup with real chicken in it. It can get busy but they do take phone orders. Also the fruit is always fresh.
