The Apple map directions here confused me a little due to this, but parking was really plentiful so that's a huge plus! Busy weekend for a brunch but haymarket is SUCH a cute little vibe and town with so many hidden gems, like this one!! Literally every single item I saw waiters bring out from the kitchen looked so scrumptious, every person around us immediately began digging in and enjoying their meals...and honestly, no crumbs were left behind pretty much every time. We started ordering a yummy cocktail. I was really in the mood for the Paloma with grapefruit juice but sadly they were out of grapefruit juice fortunately, they had plenty cocktails available that were not explicitly on the menu! I ended up having a delicious espresso martini, prepared, right and honestly, I would have had another!! Not too sweet. Not creamy. And with 3 beans. Impeccable no notes. I ordered the red House breakfast. Man those home potatoes were so delicious....they clearly cooked them seasoned deliciously and then flash fried, so crunchy!!!! Amazing. I found that their execution on their meals was really impressive. My sunny side up eggs were cooked perfectly and paired so yummy with the toast. The bacon had delicious flavor too. I ordered a biscuit because I had heard that their biscuits were really yummy but unfortunately they did not have their bacon biscuit so it was just a classic biscuit. It was good, certainly dense and clearly homemade. My girlfriend got the poutine. Looked so delicious and was really enjoyed! The gravy was thick and flavorful! We sat down and enjoyed plenty of conversation and a really nice environment. Nobody rushed us, service was just the right amount of attentive without interrupting conversation constantly, and the floor to ceiling windows let in beautiful natural light and views of the town. It was the perfect brunch spot for a low-key, but delicious meal. Just a hair out of the way without being too far. I came out with a really good friend of mine to celebrate my one year wedding anniversary with her and it was the perfect possible location. Shout out to the staff for being so welcoming and kind, and even taking a picture of us when we asked to commemorate the occasion. Ordering was super quick and you don't have to sit on the side you ordered from. Just let them know where you will be at and they will come find you (listen for your number). I had the apple cider and I was pleasantly surprised. All the Apple cider I have had is non-alcoholic and I thought that was what I was drinking until my boyfriend set me straight. It was so yummy and I couldn't taste the alcohol at all (my kind of drink)! The ID check should have clued me in...but I thought it was because my boyfriend also ordered an alcoholic drink. My boyfriend ordered the Mushroom Swiss Burger with Mac & Cheese while I had the Brisket Grilled Cheese with Bacon Ranch Potato Salad. We also ordered a dozen Apple Butter. Everything tasted good and there was a decent amount of brisket in my sandwich. Even that I recommend letting some pieces with the bbq sauce mix in with the potato salad. It makes it even better! The donuts were good too, but I recommend taking them home and popping them into the microwave for a bit. Then put a scoop of coffee almond ice cream on it. I was pleasantly surprised by the Houndstooth. We booked a 7pm reservation on Toc and mentioned some food allergies and items we liked and they created a beautiful menu. See attached. Our first course was an asparagus salad with grapefruit that really had much more flavor than I was expecting, paired perfectly with a Muscadet. The second course was a chilled split pea soup with orzo and Lobster. My wife does not like Split Pea and the only place she has ever liked it was at ILW, this was great especially paired with the Ryan Patrick Chardonnay. The wine was dry not oaky and loved it. The third course was a bass and shrimp lightly fried on risotto with Serrano peppers that was delicious. My favorite wine of the evening was the Portuguese Mapreco. I had a second glass. Mind you I'm an Italian Red fan and these were all whites up to this point, loved each one. The chef took him time pairing these. My favorite course was a Brioche wrapped Beef Wellington, Ramsay would be proud. So good! Black truffle purée with a Bordeaux ended the savory menu perfectly. What was very nice was that you got an ample pour vs a tasting pour. Our dessert was a sample of items. Playing and presentation matters to this chef. Chef Dane then spoke to us for a good 10 minutes telling us his story and background. It's very personal for him and you can tell the passion and love he puts into his cooking to delight his guests. I highly recommend everyone coming out to this beautiful property. I would, however, next time stay the night at the Glen Gordon Manor bit more of a drive than I wanted after dinner. The manor is south of Front Royal on 522 and is gorgeous, quiet and you definitely feel like you can relax and enjoy yourself.

We even had an opportunity to meet the nicest gentleman named Wally (we assumed he was the owner). We have never been treated more special! The food for dinner was amazing again.
