Came here after a not great experience at another coffee shop. Instantly greeted by the barista who was so warm and welcoming! Answered all of our questions about beans and brewing. We left with some freshly ground espresso beans. I tried the Otis latte and it was great!

The staff were friendly and gave great recommendations based on my preferences! Both drinks tasted great and finished very fast!

Visited this small coffee shop since we were in the area. It has a nice, retro vibe; they have a few tables for seating. Overall it's def smaller so you might not be able to get a table to work. The staff was very nice, even chatted with us while drinks were being made. The coffee quality was in my opinion average. The pour over could've had more flavor, but it wasn't burnt so that was a plus. We also tried a sesame latte that could've used more sesame flavor. Slightly disappointed but the results haven't driven me away yet, I think I'll it another go if I'm around.

Very cozy spot. Came here with a girl friend after she kept raving about this place-- I knew I had to see what the fuss was about! The coffee shop itself is tiny but mighty. Small space with very limited seating (probably three tables) but that's ok!! Everyone that visited while I was there just ordered their drink & headed out. Very grab & go vibes. Their matcha is very very very good. I ordered an iced matcha latte with Oatmilk and honey & it was very rich tasting. None of that fake stuff. Service was super quick. Ordered & got our drinks very soon after! I would definitely visit again & try something new. Good spot.

This is a tiny shop on the corner of a street, but you can tell it's beloved amongst the neighborhood as it was quite busy on a weekday midmorning. The staff greeted me kindly and were patient in helping me decide what to order. I ordered a cold brew with oat milk that tasted absolutely and my friend ordered a Matcha which tasted very authentic and refreshing.

It was my first time in Dallas and I came across this coffee shop on google maps. I am so glad I found this little coffee shop! The service was great. The barista was very nice even though it was bit busy and working by himself. Parking: It is mostly street parking but fairly easy (I went on a weekday). I ordered the Orange Bird - Hojicha tea with Americano, Chocolate, and Orange bitters. I was hesitant about getting this drink because I am usually a latte or matcha girly. I was intrigued by the drink because it has Hojicha. So I went with it. AND IT WAS 10/10. I was very surprised! Slightly sweet but not too sweet. You get more of hojicha and chocolate with notes of orange.

So happy to find this little gem! Such a comfortable and inviting vibe and the matcha was top notch. I got the Kiwami and it was perfect! The guy helping me was really sweet and personable. I will definitely be back!

JuJu's is now a regular stop for me - so so addicted to this Neapolitan latte! Baristas are always so sweet and personable and the shop is adorable. Drinks come out fast and it feels like a real community focused, neighborhood spot. Can a latte really be so good? Yes it can and Juju's proves it.

Tiny but mighty, this coffee shop is so good! I've had the coffee and the matcha here and they deserve praise for both. For coffee, I had the Neapolitan Latte and a Vanilla Strawberry Matcha Latte. Good drinks and good people

    Keshav D.

I had the Otis latte and it tasted great. Not too sweet which is what I like. Super kind baristas, and amazing ambience. Gives casual small coffee shop vibes. Only advice would be that this shop is small, so if you have a study group I wouldn't bring them here

Cafe Duro is a must when visiting the Lower Greenville area!…read more I recently visited this amazing European-style café during breakfast on a weekday and it was amazing. Please note that parking in this area is particularly difficult but if you come in the morning, it should be easier to find. Another thing worth nothing is that they are more of a quick standing coffee bar type of place and I definitely wouldn't recommend it for families or kids, so keep that in mind when visiting. Now to the food... They have a small but mighty menu for breakfast and lunch. For my first time I decided to try their The Monte Duro, which is a pastry style "hot pocket" with smoked prosciutto, mortadella, mustard and jam. For drink I decided to go with their Dirty Chai Latte. The drink was absolutely perfection and exactly what I needed in a warm Texas morning. The Monte Duro was cooked to perfection and packed with flavor! Both my friend and I ordered the same thing and we were both obsessed with it.

The staff is not really friendly but the vibes were still peaceful. Mushroom grilled cheese: This was so yummmy!! The bread comes perfectly crispy and buttery. There were tons of mushrooms and creamy flavor. By far one of the best grilled cheeses I ever had. Banana horchata matcha: This drink was very sweet and good for people that dont like bitter drinks. I loved the banana flavor and it reminded me of banana bread. There was also a lot of cinnamon in the drink which made it so tasty.

If you're looking for a spot that actually nails the "coffee by day, cocktails by night"…read moretransition, Halcyon is it. It's got that airy, high-ceiling energy that's perfect for getting work done without feeling like you're trapped in a cubicle. The Vibe: It's cool without trying too hard. You'll see local art on the walls and plenty of natural light. By day, it's a laptop paradise with lo-fi beats; by night, the lights dim, the music picks up, and the patio becomes the place to be--especially if you have a dog in tow. Happy Hour (3 PM - 7 PM Daily): This is the real draw. Their Espresso Martini is a local legend, but the Chocolate Espresso Martini is the move if you want something decadent. If you're there on a Tuesday, they run happy hour prices all night. Don't sleep on the $5 pimento grilled cheese--it's the ultimate "I'm not that hungry but I need a snack" food. The People: Expect a very "Lower Greenville" crowd: a mix of productive millennials, SMU students with headphones on, and groups of friends sharing s'mores kits (yes, you can roast them at your table). The staff is laid-back and friendly, though they definitely stay hustling during the weekend brunch rush. Bottom line: It's reliable, unpretentious, and arguably the best spot on the block to switch from a latte to a lager without changing seats.

However they were attentive and the overall ambiance was nice and upbeat for a brunch place. Food wise, everything here was average. Nothing stood out as something I absolutely would come back for. We got two Benedict's that were not very warm and has hollandaise/gravy that was not very flavorful but the home fries were seasoned and fried well. The French toast was quite good but was very obviously put in the microwave right before serving with a steaming hot center. The best part was the blueberry kale salad which had a nice vinaigrette and the cashews were a nice touch. Overall, with the number of brunch spots in Dallas I would reserve halcyon for study/coffee spot as opposed to a must try weekend brunch.

They've got great murals on the walls and some solid merch for sale that definitely catches your eye. The matchas were amazing, crafted really well and not overly sweet like some places try to do. You can tell they take pride in getting the flavor right. Service was on point. They were patient, answered all our questions about the different matcha options, and never made us feel rushed. The lobby was full of people posted up working or hanging out, and honestly the vibe was not bad at all -- kind of chill, kind of creative, the type of spot you could stay in for a while. I came to order a menu item that was recommended to me, the Banana Matcha Frappe but wanted oat milk. The associate at the counter said that they can't make it with almond milk, which I never said almond milk I asked for oat milk & yet she offered me whole milk. That defeats the purpose of me requesting oat milk. Furthermore after examining the menu, it looks like maybe I should've requested the latte but she never suggested that because I see oat milk as an option with the latte as opposed to the frappe. I would happily eat either again without hesitation. Drinks: * 10 oz iced vanilla latte -- creamy, smooth, and made with quality-tasting beans. No complaints here. * 10 oz cappuccino (oat milk) -- tasty... but visually alarming. When the cappuccino arrived, it looked like it had been on a diet. A very strict one. I genuinely thought there had been a pouring mistake, so I politely asked at the counter. The response? "Yes, that's correct--it's supposed to be about 1 1/2 inches from the top." Reader, it was not 1 1/2 inches. It was more like "emotionally distant from the rim." I even slid the cup closer, hoping maybe perspective was playing tricks on me. Nope. Same answer. Same empty real estate at the top of the cup. Now, I understand cappuccinos aren't filled to the brim. I respect foam science. I honor espresso traditions.
