When we arrived honestly we didn't know what to expect. The first turn off was that my husband ordered blue crab and they didn't have any. We were thinking we were not going to enjoy this experience. However, I ordered my Passion fruit margarita & our meals & we were pleasantly surprised. My husband ordered the dungeon crab, my son Seafood pasta & me Combo E. And we were very happy with our food. My lobster was so good. . So though the main item that brought us there was not there, I am happy we stayed. read more

My new favorite seafood spot! I've been seeing a lot of good reviews for this place and decided to try it out. I had the sweet chili wings, which were perfectly crunchy and the sweetness of the chili was a nice touch. I ordered the B combo which has potatoes, corn, crawfish and shrimps. The seafood tasted fresh, especially the crawfish. Their Juicy special sauce is a must try with the seafood boiled! read more

I was looking for a restaurant to get a quick bite and came across this place. I called in my order over the phone of the crab cake appetizer and garlic bread. When I arrived I parked in the plaza parking lot and went in. I was greeted and told them my name and they got my food. It came to about $10 for everything. When I got back I dug in and I really liked the crab cakes. The garlic bread wasn't bad either. I would definitely go back to try more. read more

Absolutely fantastic. This place hits all your senses. We were blown over by the spicy aroma from the bag as we opened the shrimp and muscles steam pot. The textures from shrimp, muscles, potatoes and corn blend wonderfully. The taste was almost euphoric. We couldn't stop talking about this place as we headed home and can't wait to come back. Always had to go all the way to DC for some cajun seafood boil, so happy that this opened up near my house! Went here yesterday as I found it in yelp while looking for restaurants where my friend and I can dine in. Located next to CVS pharamacy in the shopping center in Layhill. The decor of the place was really cute and stylish. They also have a bar if you wanted to get drinks while you dine in. Food: We ordered the Fried Calamari as an appetizer and it came out pretty fast. The outside was crunchy and squid was soft inside. It came with cocktail sauce, but you can request to switch it out. We asked for tartar sauce and our server gave it to us right away. I ordered 1lb shrimp head on with the Juicy Special sauce medium and a side of rice (good amount). It really satisfied my craving! The Juicy Special sauce was really tasty. The bag came with a whole potato and one piece of a corn on a cob. I finished my rice in no time as it was a good match to balance the spices. I'm not that good at eating spicy food so I found this one a little spicier than I expected. It was still good though. I'll probably order mild next time but that's just my personal preference. Covid considerations: They have placements on the entrance of the restaurant as to stand 6ft apart. They also place people dining in a table apart and following the 50% capacity rule. They also used disposable utensils and plates and paper menu. The only thing I'd suggest is placing the bottled condiments (ketchup & hot sauce) and salt/pepper in packs instead of leaving it out on the table. Apart from that everything was great! Heard it was their second day opening yesterday and I'm pretty amazed by the quality of the food and good service. Will definitely recommend it for others to check it out! read more

I have been here twice. Both times the food has been great. Super fresh and excellently prepared. Only put off is the service. On both occasions the server was very young and inexperienced. Slow and could not get the order straight. We asked for water didn't get it. I had to get napkins from the bar because when we asked for some they never came. Never asked if we were happy or did we want refills on drinks. After we were finished it too forever to get the check. read more

Location was "ok" in a shopping mall. Food was ok - mostly tasted like frozen and re-heated or re-steamed food. Design of the building was nice. Playing rap/hip hop music above our heads to where we had to raise our voices to talk would make me not want to go back. read more

We arrived and immediately seated. The waitress was punctual, nice, and attentive. The menu was comprehensive and options are great. We wanted an option with lobster and meal for 4 was the best one. The ambiance of the restaurant was nice, good lighting and no concerns as they followed CDC guidelines. For appetizers, we ordered hush puppies and I wanted soup therefore ordered gumbo and they were good too. Nothing like date night without music and good food. They played a variety of music that took you from old school to the millennial (mmm not the best period but oh well, lol). We'll be returning! read more

First timer! The place looks really nice and new inside and out. There is outdoor seating available. The inside feels open and airy and has a boat/nautical theme. I got combo E with the regular juicy special sauce. I placed the order on the phone and it was ready in about 20 min. They included bibs, wipes, and paper to eat the food on upon request. The girls working there were friendly. I enjoyed the seafood, it was fresh and cooked just right. Next time I will request the sauce on the side if possible, it was a too much butter for me. Plenty of distanced seating and COVID precautions with no sacrifice on the food quality. The steamed shellfish platters are the go-to for this Cajun-inspired restaurant. While tempting, keep your order simple and enjoy the food, taking your time to get every shred of sweet crab meat. My only knock keeping this from five-stars is an anemic offering of beers and wine. At this price point, I expect more than basic offerings. In addition, after the salty, butter meal, I line a bit of a palate cleaning dessert. But the only offering is cheesecake, which is not a great pairing. read more

I will start by saying I was very apprehensive to going to another seafood boil spot after a really bad experience at hot and juicy a similar food chain however after can being convinced by my cousin we went and it was the best decision I made. The hostess was really nice and Was also working as the bartender she made me my happy hour drinks which weren't super cheap for rail but she made them really well. We moved to a booth so I really enjoyed our food and the server and manager were extremely nice/funny and the food was BOMB! We even asked for our shrimp to be shelled as a joke and they actually did it for us (i don't know if this is on the menu so sorry in advance if they tell you no lol) and it was only one dollar to get the head off of all the shrimp but next time I'll try it with the head because the manager said it tastes really good. I was so full I even had some to take home and eat I had the combo see spicy with the juicy special seasoning which I think is just a combo of all the seasonings. Just now I'm going back on Friday and I plan on going at least once a month hands down better than hot N juicy and hook and reel in my personal opinion ‍ read more

Good seasonings. The prices increased and the quantity decreased. The first time I went, the food was great, but the second time I went the shrimp and crabs were overcooked and crumbly. I only got about 3 shrimp in my boil and a few sausages. I mentioned my dissatisfaction to the management team and they replaced the meal. Bottom line, food is good, but the quality is not consistent. read more

Didn't have unsweetened iced tea -- which is a major flaw for me. (They had a huge separate menu for alcoholic drinks. They could have at least had unsweetened ice tea. I'd even take a bottle of Gold Peak zero sugar.) Service was great! Nice clean appearance, great decor. Food was OK. My friend and I had the oyster basket and the tilapia basket. The flavors didn't wow us, but were just OK. Nothing major to complain about except no unsweetened iced tea. We didn't try any of the steamed seafood, so we may have enjoyed that. Because I usually comment on accessibility I'll note that handicap parking spaces were nearby, and there were no curbs or steps to climb to get into the restaurant. Chairs at the tables were lower than average so they could be a problem for some people. This was Saturday lunch in Jan. 2022. Although the website says proof of vaccination required (something that attracted me to the restaurant), no one asked to see proof of vaccination. Then although there were few people in the restaurant, they sat another party at the booth right next to us, and a third party at the booth in front of that one. There were plenty of other empty tables and booths. We could have all been spread out. I don't get it. Why advertise that vaccination is required, then not check for proof of vaccination and sit people close together? read more

Established in 2020.

Opening a restaurant amidst an ongoing pandemic is extremely challenging. However, we have been blessed with the overwhelming support that the surrounding community have given us. Our family have been living in the Silver Spring for more than 10 years but noticed that there aren't any Cajun-style seafood restaurants in the area. Therefore we want to share our love of seafood with the people in Aspen Hill, Silver Spring, and the surrounding communities.

She made sure I knew how to eat it (I did), and I asked her if it was spicy or not (she said not at all...probably due to the DC clientele...but that they were good and that they shipped them straight from Louisiana). They also had an assortment of mild Cajun seasonings and hot sauces. It was not the best boudin I've ever had (that one goes to the Boudin King in Louisiana), but it was slightly better than the boudin I can get at the grocery store in Texas (but bigger). My visit to Juicy Seafood started great. Friendly environment, helpful staff. I ordered the Rock the Boat 4 people combo with Cajun seasoning. The meal looked so good we had to take pictures of it. We were about to start eating when someone asked if that were sliced lemons in it? It was. I am allergic to Lemons. I informed the waitress and manager of my allergies. The tray was removed and they returned with what I presumed was a fresh tray. We began to eat the meal. The meal no longer had lemons on it but now it had garlic instead. The meal was filling. On my drive home I started to develop a strong headache dry tongue and unset stomach. What had happened was the meal was taken in the kitchen and they removed the lemon slices instead of preparing a new meal. Thanks for my EPI pen I was ok. I would have given them a 5-star rating, but with blatant disregard to the health of their customers and my allergies, this dinner could have ended in a Hospital visit. I won't be returning to this restaurant and I'd advise anyone with food allergies to do the same. read more

I ate here last night with my family and it did not disappoint. This seafood joint offers gloves, bibs, and sanitary wipes. The crab and crawfish are tender and sweet. The serving sizes are gigantic and honestly their Rock the Boat special that is meant to serve four could easily serve six. The boils come in a big tray with a heating system to keep the food warm. Their special Juicy sauce is really good and the mild sauce isn't spicy at all for those who may be bad with spice. The staff is kind, friendly, attentive and sanitary. Before I even reached a staff member, I called approximately FOUR times with no answer. I tried mornings, afternoons, and evenings, hoping to catch someone at a less busy time. I then made THREE more calls that were answered. Each time, I was told the sales manager--the only person who could handle a larger-party reservation--was unavailable because she was in a "meeting." I understand people have meetings, but what good is a reservation process if the only person authorized to help is never reachable? During the first two conversations, female staff members took my name, phone number, and email address, promising to pass them along. I asked them to read my email back to confirm it was correct, but both simply said, "We got it." Yet I received no call, email, text, or voicemail. I had specifically explained that any of those methods would be fine if I missed a call. On my third successful call, a male employee was at least kind enough to read back my contact information. I appreciated that basic courtesy. And, finally, the sales manager emailed me. Unfortunately, she claimed she had called me multiple times and left voicemails. Where were they? I was regularly checking my phone and voicemail because I was waiting for a response. I can only speak to what I received: no calls or voicemails from her. After all this, apparently email finally became an option! Her email also left me feeling as though I was inconveniencing her by trying to book an event. A sales manager's role should include responding to inquiries, building client relationships, and helping secure business--not making potential customers chase down a reservation. Eventually, I learned that the private room required approximately 65 guests and a $5,000 minimum spend. That policy is completely understandable. What I cannot understand is why it took roughly SEVEN calls to learn information that could have been explained during my first conversation with staff. A simple "Our private room has a 65-person minimum, but we can discuss seating for 25 in the main dining area" would have been enough. I manage a business too. I respect busy schedules and don't expect immediate replies or special treatment. But if only one employee can book large parties, the restaurant needs a reliable way to handle inquiries when that person is unavailable. Perhaps 25 guests aren't considered a big enough event to deserve attention here. We weren't asking for a discount or an exception--just trying to bring 25 paying customers to dinner. The biggest disappointment wasn't the private-room minimum. It was the lack of communication and the feeling that our business didn't matter. Customer service starts before guests ever walk through the door. At Bethesda, our experience was disappointing before we even sat down. Perhaps our party of 25 wasn't worth the sales manager's time, but customers shouldn't have to attempt a Guinness World Record in phone calls just to make a dinner reservation!

The only downside was that our first two clusters of crab legs seemed a little overcooked, which made the meat pretty difficult to get out of the shells. Other than that, everything was delicious! We especially loved that we each got a lobster tail included with the all-you-can-eat option, and the lobster was so good! The potatoes and the sauce for the seafood boil were also amazing. Our waitress was super sweet, attentive, and consistently checked on us throughout our meal. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely come back!

The interior is impressive and clean. Everyone really enjoyed their food (we tried pizza, fish and chips, apple and pear salad, and smokehouse smash burger). The only "misses" was the boring Bloody Mary and surprisingly - the underwhelming churro cronut bites (inside tasted uncooked and dipping sauces were meh). Everyone at the table was disappointed with that dessert. Not sure how they were cronut either... Heck yeah we would stop by again and recommend. They offer gluten free pizza dough that was delicious.

The hostess took us to our seats. Then our waiter came who gave us two menus. One for the dog and one for me. I ordered the fresh duck that came with carrots, kale and superfoods. I ordered the dragon fruit mojito and brussel sprouts. The mojito was very refreshing and sweet so it was very easy to drink. The sprouts were delicious. They were cooked to perfection and had great flavor. My dog really enjoyed the duck. They gave great portions. I could tell he was stuffed. Along with the doggy entree he received a matchbox toy and a treat. The ambiance was cool. We sat outside on the patio and their was one other dog. No issues what so ever. The fried oysters, side salad (split), and my spouse's grilled tuna with risotto were also excellent, as was my Carmel crunch birthday cake decorated with a candle. We highly recommend this restaurant!
