This spot was not what I expected at all based on the reviews. They locked the stalls in the bathroom from the outside so nobody could use them. The drinks are way too strong. My lobster roll only had tail meat which was my worse looking lobster roll ever. Look at my page for real lobster rolls. Then the seafood boil I got was garlic butter mild shrimp and scallops the scallops was so small. Lacked flavor and seasoning. Then my friends got boils as well said it was not tasty and crab legs were watery flimsy and lacked meat. To top it off no dip i usually go to Hook and Reel they have dipping sauce. Just overall disappointed only decent part was the customer service. They have everyone help with your table but they forgot a part of my order and had to remind them. I had the sweet chili wings, which were perfectly crunchy and the sweetness of the chili was a nice touch. I ordered the B combo which has potatoes, corn, crawfish and shrimps. The crawfish were small but tasty. I liked that broccoli was a substituting. .... until the food was delivered. . The problem: the sauce. I've never had anything so greasy, salty and flavorless in my whole life. And it covered EVERYTHING! And even though it was double bagged, it leaked. . If you dump a bunch of minced garlic, some chili oil , a sub of salt and then emptied a diner grease trap into a container, that would be the sauce. It covered everything. I've never had so much salt in my life! I ended up throwing the food away, and ordering fron a different seafood restaurant.! I've taken photos of the sauce and the before eating, after eating and the food in the trash. I ordered the replacement food for my family, personally, I think I'm going to be sick. Literally. I have been here twice. Both times the food has been great. Super fresh and excellently prepared. Only put off is the service. On both occasions the server was very young and inexperienced. Slow and could not get the order straight. We asked for water didn't get it. I had to get napkins from the bar because when we asked for some they never came. I was looking for a restaurant to get a quick bite and came across this place. I called in my order over the phone of the crab cake appetizer and garlic bread. When I arrived I parked in the plaza parking lot and went in. I was greeted and told them my name and they got my food. It came to about $10 for everything. When I got back I dug in and I really liked the crab cakes. The garlic bread wasn't bad either. I would definitely go back to try more. read more

Absolutely fantastic. This place hits all your senses. We were blown over by the spicy aroma from the bag as we opened the shrimp and muscles steam pot. Always had to go all the way to DC for some cajun seafood boil, so happy that this opened up near my house! Went here yesterday as I found it in yelp while looking for restaurants where my friend and I can dine in. Located next to CVS pharamacy in the shopping center in Layhill. The decor of the place was really cute and stylish. They also have a bar if you wanted to get drinks while you dine in. Food: We ordered the Fried Calamari as an appetizer and it came out pretty fast. The outside was crunchy and squid was soft inside. It came with cocktail sauce, but you can request to switch it out. We asked for tartar sauce and our server gave it to us right away. I ordered 1lb shrimp head on with the Juicy Special sauce medium and a side of rice (good amount). It really satisfied my craving! The Juicy Special sauce was really tasty. The bag came with a whole potato and one piece of a corn on a cob. I finished my rice in no time as it was a good match to balance the spices. I'm not that good at eating spicy food so I found this one a little spicier than I expected. It was still good though. I'll probably order mild next time but that's just my personal preference. Covid considerations: They have placements on the entrance of the restaurant as to stand 6ft apart. They also place people dining in a table apart and following the 50% capacity rule. They also used disposable utensils and plates and paper menu. The only thing I'd suggest is placing the bottled condiments (ketchup & hot sauce) and salt/pepper in packs instead of leaving it out on the table. Apart from that everything was great! Heard it was their second day opening yesterday and I'm pretty amazed by the quality of the food and good service. Will definitely recommend it for others to check it out! read more

Good seasonings. The prices increased and the quantity decreased. The first time I went, the food was great, but the second time I went the shrimp and crabs were overcooked and crumbly. I only got about 3 shrimp in my boil and a few sausages. I mentioned my dissatisfaction to the management team and they replaced the meal. The ambiance of the restaurant was nice, good lighting and no concerns as they followed CDC guidelines. First timer! The place looks really nice and new inside and out. There is outdoor seating available. The inside feels open and airy and has a boat/nautical theme. I got combo E with the regular juicy special sauce. I placed the order on the phone and it was ready in about 20 min. They included bibs, wipes, and paper to eat the food on upon request. The girls working there were friendly. I enjoyed the seafood, it was fresh and cooked just right. Next time I will request the sauce on the side if possible, it was a too much butter for me. This is "fish in the hood" (not my description- a POC described it as such). Now I feel like they do a good job on the food (fried fish with chicken wings, other southern staples, etc). You get plates of food here, not so much sold by the pound like Cameron's. The service seemed fine; this is just not my favorite cuisine as it's a bit too greasy. I will start by saying I was very apprehensive to going to another seafood boil spot after a really bad experience at hot and juicy a similar food chain however after can being convinced by my cousin we went and it was the best decision I made. The hostess was really nice and Was also working as the bartender she made me my happy hour drinks which weren't super cheap for rail but she made them really well. We moved to a booth so I really enjoyed our food and the server and manager were extremely nice/funny and the food was BOMB! We even asked for our shrimp to be shelled as a joke and they actually did it for us (i don't know if this is on the menu so sorry in advance if they tell you no lol) and it was only one dollar to get the head off of all the shrimp but next time I'll try it with the head because the manager said it tastes really good. I was so full I even had some to take home and eat I had the combo see spicy with the juicy special seasoning which I think is just a combo of all the seasonings.
