For those who don't know, Flavor Hive is a halal truck that will either give you a tray or stuff your bag of chips, fries, pizza, or anything you bring to them. It fascinated me having a Caribbean version of that as an option. It's downtown Silver Spring, but it wasn't hard to find street parking. That construction is starting to become cumbersome, though. I stepped inside and was surprised by how empty it was. And yes, items like jerk chicken, plantain, and cabbage were options to top my lovely bag of multigrain chips with. The staff were nice and trying to figure out the price point for my bag -- it was kinda big LOL. Once we got that figured it out and I made my choices, I was on my way. I got back in the car, and it was quite a nachos treat! It was heavy, so I had to eat some of it down so I could go -- I should've brought a tray haha. It was delicious though! The jerk was on the sweeter side... can't really say I got any heat. The other elements were all great though -- I especially loved the plantain. I'd like to come back and try other things...
