It looks stuffed, but honestly, it wasn't. I thought it was tasty but it lacked in protein. You get a big tortilla wrap stuffed with one scoop of the meats and everything else . Came with a side of white and red sauce, which I thought was pretty good as well.

First time trying this spot and it was just as delicious as their Harrison location! Ordered the chicken pita, with fries, a side of plantain, and a classic bottle of Coca-Cola. Wasn't able to eat it right away and it was still so "juicy" and yummy! Drizzled the white sauce on top...omg! The fries and plantain was good too! Food was very satisfying! The employees there were nice and greeted when you entered. Inside was also clean to dine in.

I was in the area and had a craving for a gyro so I search for places in the area and found juicy. It is in a small shopping center with plenty of parking. They are following mask requirements and socially distanced seating. There was a table outside to eat as well. If you aren't familiar with the difference between platters, wraps, pita, etc. check out the menu ahead of time. The cashier greeted us immediately and was very patient as we made our decision and easily answered all of our questions. I went with the Gyro pita and my daughter got the chicken pita with french fries. Our order was completed quickly and I was excited to get home to eat. Everything was super yummy, the meat was moist and well seasoned and beware that the hot sauce is really really hot AF. They want you so don't say you haven't warned. When I'm in the area again I will definitely be back!

Made a return trip for lunch on this Good Friday at Juicy! located at a shopping mall in Hackensack. The food is healthy with a Mediterranean genuinely flavor. The menu is mix and match: choose a base (platter, salad, pita, or wrap), a protein (or falafel ), add toppings, then add sides and sauce. I ordered the falafel platter which contained generous portion of falafel (deep fried balls or fritters made from ground chickpeas), sautéed onions, whole sliced pita bread, lettuce, and rice. Complimentary sauces of tahini and hot sauce were given to accompany the meal. The food is tasty and flavorful. The portion size is great and the employees are friendly. As a Yelper Elite, the establishment offers a complimentary drink. Definitely will be returning as this is now my favorite Halal spot.

This was my 1st visit to Juicy Platters but I have been to similar restaurants which were okay but not especially note worthy. I totally enjoyed my meal especially the spice level. I had the mixed platter adding tomatoes and spicy chick peas for a small additional charge. We shared a side order of fries and each had a fountain drink. We both added a healthy dose of white sauce to our meals and dug in. It was very filling and flavorful. I would have liked more drink options

After visiting a Juicy location for an Elite event last winter I decided to try the one in Hackensack last night as I was headed out to the breweries. A little food before eating makes for a safer night. This location is a little larger but didn't seem to have organized the counter as well. They didn't carry Bubly flavored seltzer water as the other location did, however I decided to just have a bottle of water. I ordered a pita with chicken and beef with all the fixins with a side of falafel bites. My wife ordered the plate with brown rice, a greens blast and falafel. This was one great meal. The food was absolutely delicious. The greens in my wife's plate were so perfectly done they mixed really well with the rice and the falafel. The beef and chicken in the pita was spicy and oh so good! The best part of this place are the prices, great freshly made food for a fair price. This place gives new meaning to fast food, it is truly outstanding. I only wish they would open a location closer to my home. After enjoying a good meal I was ready for the brewery.

It's like chipotle for Mediterranean food. You pick if you want a pita or a bowl which means your topping over rice. If you choose rice it's the basami(?) rice and the. You can pick beef or chicken or both and add tomatoes, lettuce, white sauce that is tangy, big olives... if you choose the pita is the same but They put its on top of a pita. The pita is what I had an it was messy. Good thing I ate it inside because i used a fork. If I would of tried to eat it like a burrito we would of had issues! Decent food. Your order and sit down and they call you to pick it up from the counter. $10 a person. I didn't like the rice though. It tasted curry-ish go

Finally got around to trying this place after hearing good things and it did not disappoint. Big bowl of food, tender meats, delicious white sauce...it rates up there with my favorite NYC halal cart. Will have to put it into my rotation. Ordered/paid online while I was in stop and shop for 10 minutes and it was ready for pickup when I was done!

I've been to the Hackensack location five times and the Fair Lawn location twice. Food wise they are identical I give a slight advantage to the Hackensack location because: #1 - it's closer to me #2 - it's larger than the Fair Lawn location so more seating (I actually had to wait for a table the second time I went to Fair Lawn spot). If your looking for a NYC Halal Cart experience in North Jersey Juicy nails it. The rice is tender and flavorful. The chicken and gyro flavor is also good and yes juicy. Over time it seems some portion issues have been resolved. Meat to rice ratio has improved (although I still recommend getting extra meat a $2.80 add on to your almost $8 platter). The pita piece they give you has seemingly doubled in size over the past year. There also seems to be more veg which is a good thing (I do, however, wish tomatoes were included and not a add on). The hot sauce and white sauce are also very tasty (whats a platter with out a ton of white and red sauce). I have ordered the wings and falafel too. Both are good. Given the choice of the two I'd go with the falafel. Nothing wrong with the wings just nothing great about them. So, I could go four stars if I want to be over critical of the wings (which again are good but I'm not coming to Juicy Platters just for wings) or the add on fee for, well, pretty much anything. I won't however and I'll go 5 stars for a deliciously juicy NYC style chicken and gyro platter that I don't have to cross a bridge or tunnel to get to. To add to that, I would argue that either JP are better than the East Brunswick Halal Guys. Also, as a after thought, service has always been friendly and I feel it has gotten quicker. read more

5/5 compared to the infamous city platters ! Initially I didn't love it so far bc of the original comparison... but now I'm trying for the 2nd time . The rice is extremely flavorful & moist( not dry at all). The meat is good no trace of greasiness ! And it comes with lettuce & onions. The onions are sautéed so they're yummy :) I def recommend. I ordered with a side of sauce it was like $3 . But when it came to my house it was literally a sauce bottle full not a small packet so worth the $$ read more

The food is good but not great. The rice wasn't evenly cooked and the meat (I got the mixed platter) wasn't as outstanding as the one from "The Halal Guys," it was too dry. Their red sauce is very spicy as well and their white sauce I found it as good as the one from "The Halal Guys" (I really liked that you can get as much as you want to). Also, the portions are considerable smaller. I ordered an extra pita bread for my toddler because she loves it. The pita bread was fresh, soft and delicious, but they added some seasonings on top so my daughter didn't eat it. The pita bread that originally came with my platter and my husband's platter didn't have the seasoning, so I don't understand if it was meant to be there or not. My daughter ate the food from "The Halal Guys" but not this one. To conclude, the service was very good, the cashier was nice and explained everything with ease and a smile. Overall, it was good but I don't think I will be craving it anytime soon. read more

It is fresher than halal guys and only two to three dollars difference. The place is clean and unlike the halal guys, they have the white sauce in the fridge where you have an access to... so you can go crazy and put as much white sauce as your heart can content onto your platter read more

So amazing that i dont have to go over the bridge to get my platter fix! The platters at this location definitely compare to the ones in the city. Its pretty big inside, plenty of seating. The menu is basic with the standard platter options. I ordered the mix platter with salad and rice. The meat was good, nothing spectacular. I also ordered the buffalo wings as well, and they were very meaty. You can easily fill up on those. In this location they have one of those cool soda machines with a trillion different options. Also next to the soda station is togo containers to pack in white sauce and hot sauce. However, the hot sauce is HOT. i would go easy on it. The service was good here, everyone was friendly. Lots of parking. There were no real issues here, the food is what is to be expected. read more

ive put off coming to this location for awhile. but damn am i happy i finally did! I was happy to see that their platters have gotten better. I really felt the amount of rice to salad was perfect. the mix of veggies and fallafel that i got was right too.They accommodated me with making a mixed platter, of veggies of fallafel since i dont eat meat. thank you for that! This location is very organized and serves food quick, not to mention the people who work here are very friendly and nice. for about 10.50 i got the platter and a drink, which was about the same for the city platters that i usually get. I will be back, and glad to see its a little closer to my house! read more

I am so happy that Juicy Platters opened practically in my backyard! I feel a place like this needs to be rated on its own scale. Pros: -Huge portions -Decent Quality Meats -Speedy service -Extreme Bargain! $8.50 for a platter -Stellar Hot Sauce!! Cons: -No delivery (not an issue since I live so close) -Clumpy yet tasty Rice (For $8 and change still not complaining) -Lettuce that looks like it came out of a salad bag. It wasn't wilted, but seemed out of place. (Maybe they ran out and bought some from the Stop n Shop in the mall) - White Sauce - Not so sure it could stand on its own, but did the job. Overall a nice change from the local take-out options and slightly healthier. Give them a try!! read more

I've died and gone to Halal fast food heaven. Juicy Platters is quite tasty and their meats are seasoned well.This place is as good as 43rd St. 5th ave Halal Street Food Cart without the travel. I ordered the mix gyro plate. It was good, portioned well, and priced appropriately. The only downside is they do not deliver and their side salad is a bit pricey. May I suggest opening up one near the Chicago area? Then I will give it 5 stars. read more

Did this place knock my socks off, nah. Is it a passable alternative to going to the city just to get Halal Guys, ehh yea I guess assuming you have no other reason to go to the city. Got a chicken/beef combo, despite the name "juicy", found it to be rather on the dry side. Price wise, its a dollar more expensive than the city carts, which is not a big deal, but you definitely get less food. Was not super hungry tonight, but definitely did not feel full afterwards which was kind of a disappointment. Typically you can go to one of the city carts, eat enough to be stuffed and still have some left over. Maybe it was a light hand, who knows Red sauce is definitely not as hot as some of the competition. I was able to douse a pretty hefty portion of my platter and eat it without water no problem, so take that however you wish. Being that this is a brick a mortar and not a cart outside some bar, club, or busy city corner, they close at 12 which means unfortunately you can rule late night munchie trips with your buddies out. Will check back in a few weeks to see if the quality got any better, but as of now not loving it. read more

I came here on a Thursday and I am highly satisfied with my experience. As soon as I came in, I received a greeting from across the room from one of the cashiers (I believe her name is Milan). It's a good gesture and it made me feel welcome! I appreciate that. She also took the time to explain to us the type meat they serve (I never order the beef because I thought it had lamb. Good to know it's all beef). Another girl that caught my attention was AJ. She was very helpful and provided me with everything I needed even though I knew she was busy cleaning the place around. She with stopped whatever she was doing to help me out. Overall, the food is delicious! We came in during the slow hours and didn't have to wait for our food. Our food was served hot. We also ordered fries just to try it and it's not bad at all. I usually order the chicken platter with everything on it but I will try the beef next time. Cleanliness is superb (I know this place can get pretty messy though) during my visit. The only thing I kind of didn't like about this place is that it's loud. There are many obnoxious teenagers that hangs out here. One kid was walking around in his socks! I really didn't like that but I guess that's out their hands. Keep it up and I will be coming back! read more

I have been coming here since it opened and I have had a great experience coming here which is why I keep coming back . Sometimes my order is particular and they have had a few changes to how the operation goes. There sometimes are misunderstandings and different menu changes like when green blast started being served cold. I would recommend to try and have to many people. It's a great experience once in a while or even weekly if you enjoy a lot . read more

Juicy Platters is a great place to get good quality food for your money. First off, I'm extremely grateful for their store hours. It was 11pm and my boyfriend and I were hungry. We found Juicy Platters on Yelp and I was thankful that they didn't shoo us away for coming in late (I always try to be considerate of the store hours). The store theme reminded me of Chipotle but with more color; mostly red-orange. Even though we were taking our orders to go, there was plenty of seating. The staff was very friendly and offered us samples to try. Their menu is displayed on large screens and can at first feel overwhelming. But it's only because there's a variety to choose from and you can customize your dish! We both ordered chicken platters to go; I also ordered extra plantains and pita bread, about a dollar each (three pieces of plantain for $1). The food was cooked and prepped right after we ordered, so the food was hot and fresh. They allow their customers to have as much white sauce as they want (even for to-go orders), which is nicely stored in an accessible fridge next to the soda machine; they also offer hot sauce. After we had already paid, we decided to order extra sides on our platters and the staff easily allowed us to do so. The platter came with so much food and the amount we spent was about $25! I get full easily, so I had leftovers to eat the next day. Juicy Platters is the place to go if you have an appetite, don't want to spend too much money or want a late night dinner. We will definitely be back! read more

Tried a new spot. I can say I never knew about this resturant. Me and my wife said, hey lets try it. Place is big and nice. The smell of food hits you as soon as you walk in. We were greeted right away. Since this was our first time here the young lady at the register named Jazmin explained everything in detail. She even let my wife sample the green veggie medley. Jazmin was very patient with us. Thanks Jazmin!!! Food was wonderful. Falafel platter was super delicious. The falafels were cooked perfect to me. I recommend everyone to try. Established in 2011.

Juicy Platters started back in 2011 in a small takeout only shack on Broadway in Fair Lawn, NJ. Our guests used to sit on the sidewalk floor and eat their food because, so we started looking for a bigger store and found one a block down. Today we have grown to our second location with an even bigger footprint. Our menu is inspired by the nutrition science world where your dish should look as colorful as a box of crayons. The more color in your dish, to more nutrients you ingest. Therefore, we give you the option to "Add Some Color"

Food came out hot and fast, additional sauce on the counter too. Maybe I'll try the Paterson location again because they have a fish option that Hackensack does not have.

Place was bustling on a weekday afternoon. Most pick up experiences are pretty mundane and not memorable, you get your food and go. However, the staff who serviced my order was so gracious that I was honestly taken aback - I had never been treated so special for such a quick interaction with just a few kind words. All this to say that the smallest moments do make a big difference in the food space and because of this staff, Fluffies has earned my deep loyalty. I did not get his name but if he ever gets a chance to read the reviews, I know he would know it's him, I hope he has a good day and gets a raise, for real. The time after that they forgot to include my raita and when I picked it up later, it was another disappointing variation. I've stopped ordering their parathas because of this since I cant eat dry partha by itself and who knows what kind of raita they'll give me. The container felt HEAVY lol. It's just a shame it went to waste because I really didn't enjoy the food. I only finished about half of it before I tossed the rest. The white sauce was almost flavorless and was VERY watery. The chicken wasn't as well-seasoned. No distinct spices or aroma. Every bite left me with a very greasy and salty taste in my mouth. The side salad was just okay. I was disappointed. The only saving grace was the rice... it was fluffy and the best part of the whole platter. Not sure if I came on an off night or...? The incredible flavors left me wanting to have a meal here again, and the famous white cream sauce is a must-try! The ambiance of the restaurant was perfect, with upbeat music that wasn't too loud, allowing for easy conversation. It's a great spot to relax and enjoy your meal. Juicy Platters is pretty good overall. The chicken wings are awesome with mild sauce they're always cooked just right and taste great. But when it comes to their chicken and meat gyro mix, it's not the best or maybe I caught them at a bad time . Sometimes it tastes like it's not that fresh and can be kinda dry . Also, the prices are a bit high for what you get. It's not a bad spot, but if they made the gyro better and the prices were lower, I'd definitely give them five stars. For now, it's a solid three stars from me. They have many parking spots available and the store is clean with a refillable soda machine in the dining room and the staff are nice and attentive. read more
