I was in the area and had a craving for a gyro so I search for places in the area and found juicy. It is in a small shopping center with plenty of parking. They are following mask requirements and socially distanced seating. There was a table outside to eat as well. If you aren't familiar with the difference between platters, wraps, pita, etc. check out the menu ahead of time. The menu is mix and match: choose a base (platter, salad, pita, or wrap), a protein (or falafel ), add toppings, then add sides and sauce. I ordered the falafel platter which contained generous portion of falafel (deep fried balls or fritters made from ground chickpeas), sautéed onions, whole sliced pita bread, lettuce, and rice. The food was absolutely delicious. The greens in my wife's plate were so perfectly done they mixed really well with the rice and the falafel. The beef and chicken in the pita was spicy and oh so good! The best part of this place are the prices, great freshly made food for a fair price. I used to be a HUGE fan of the other Juicy Platter located in Garfield/Saddle Brook area, however this one is convenient because it's closer to me. I just do not really enjoy their chicken here, I've given it many tries, hoping it will change but after today I think I will have to just go back to the other location. I only get the chicken platter, usually ask for it well done because each time the chicken always has parts that is very fatty and it just grosses me out. I have also noticed it's on the spicier side, which I try to minimize it with their amazing white sauce, and rice but I think someone who doesn't like spicy at all wouldn't enjoy it. The service is alright, establishment always clean (women's restroom is a little gross) and they have a pretty decent area to sit and enjoy your meal compared to the other location which is smaller, (a few tables outside also). They have a big parking lot which is great, and they have a fountain machine that you're able to pick from a variety of soft drinks. Lots of white sauce in the mini fridge available, as well as spicy sauce. If you check in on yelp it say's they will give you a free drink, however not sure if they still do that since I forgot to show it to the cashier while I was paying for my meal. The original Halal Guys/53rd and 6th/Chicken Guy/whatever you may have called it undoubtedly created a new market and demand for chicken/gyro rice platters that has erupted nationwide. Juicy Platters is probably the most successful successor to that market after the original location in NYC. Not only have they created their own delicious white sauce (bonus: they sell it by the bottle!), but they've allowed for greater customizations to their platters like adding a "green blast." They've also added an awesome array of wings to the menu (unfortunately they've taken the honey mustard and honey BBQ wings off the menu!). Service is stellar. They are extremely customer service oriented and are always friendly. Definitely one of the highlights of the experience. This location (relative to Fair Lawn) is much more spacious, and has a trendy ambience. They offer a good amount of seating, along with a TV sharing all their social media feeds. The gyro wrap was stuffed full with the added falafel, which was nicely seasoned and cooked well. The hummus portion was pretty generous for the price and I definitely could have used more pita. I always love fried plantains, and these have a little spice to them and for a little over a dollar per serving are just right for a simple dessert. Overall, good value for the cost.
