I'm working in Pleasanton again and I wanted to get a quick, healthy lunch. I had stopped by for an Acai bowl and a Chocolate chip cookie. It was super filling and it had fresh fruit and granola and seeds. It was a nice day and I ate the bowl in a nearby park. This place is always consistent with their service and portions for the Acai bowls. Cookie was good but how could you go wrong with Chocolate chip? I come here for the sandwiches, specifically the California sandwich on ciabatta bread. Takes a bit longer to make than other things on the menu, but the cheddar, mayo, avocado, bacon, and ciabatta work together to make something much more than the sum of its parts. Apple Maps gave a weird route to get to this spot but eventually I made my way to this spot and I'm so glad I did. After looking over the menu (there are a good number of options), I decided to order the Dragon Fly smoothie and added some spinach to get some greens in. The drink was delicious, the perfect combination of fruits and veggies, and so fresh and filling! I have to admit that the juices and smoothies can feel pricey when comparing to some other spots, but I'm always a fan of supporting small local businesses so it's worth the price point. You can enjoy your order in their small but cute cafe seats or stroll through downtown Pleasanton. I will definitely be back to try the others drinks and maybe even some food too. After going to Brazil and tasting their acai, it changed my perspective and I hoped coming back home, I would find a place in The Bay that offered acai bowls similar to that in South America. Well, thank goodness for Juice and Java. The acai here has a rich and sweet taste to it. I love it with everything they add to the bowl like the granola, coconut, honey, bananas, and strawberries. Since having this bowl, I've been coming here like once a week to get it. It's nice too because they offer baked goods, sandwiches, and salads too. I believe they get their baked goods from across their street at Primrose Bakery. But what we received was not something that we eat. So doordash arranged a re-delivery. Not only was the2nd delivery was perfect, they included a free smoothie and cookie! It was a pleasant surprise! The taste was semi-sweet and chocolatey with a subtle hint of banana. I would order it again for sure. I like the fact they brew the expresso fresh and use quality ingredients. It was really busy when I went and the drink took longer than I expected. Interestingly, other peoples orders were ready before me even though I was ahead of them in line. I loved their Dragonfly drink, everytime i try to come eat here its closed but i finally got the chance to try it. It was worth it.. sort of lol I also ordered their mozzarella sandwich i think its called Caprese? Idk but it was decent. They didnt have tomato so she added turkey to it instead.. it was mid but i still ate it. The cashier girl was the only one working but she was really nice and she tried her best so i appreciate that. Careful, this place is addicting. I was looking for a juice/smoothie place in this area and found this spot. It's EXACTLY what I was looking for. The purple poodle smoothie is my absolute favorite. The smoothies taste so fresh. Seriously, if you're looking for a healthy smoothie place in the area, this is the place to go. I had high expectations because the first time I tried acai bowls and smoothies like this was in San Diego, but this place is easily comparable. It's not very tasty, but it has all the ingredients I usually look for. I prefer other green juices I've tried at places where they've been able to make it taste better. One thing that throws me off--the green juice is orange. Probably because of the carrot they add in. This doesn't help the flavor, but it's good for you so whatever. The price is decent for what you get! I always go for the largest size because its only 80 cents more or so. Staff is not the friendliest, but they get the orders out pretty quickly, so can't complain. read more

Of course I walk out with my juice, take the first sip & it was straight celery. I just gave it to my friend. What a waste of time, money & effort.
