Now if I just didn't live in California and could go to Lalla for every pedicure. I've yet to find anything like this where I live. Pasadena has a gem!

I came here on my birthday for a French tip manicure and pedicure (no acrylics) and still paid about $150 after my birthday discount. For that price, I expected excellent work. Instead, I left with white residue/stains on my nails and had to ask for several things to be fixed. I was already late for my birthday party and eventually stopped pointing things out because I felt they were rushing to get to other customers. When I went back about the white marks, I was told I could just wash my hands and that it would eventually come off. That wasn't the point, I came here so my nails would be perfect for my birthday that day, not so I'd have to fix them myself. To make matters worse, the very next day my French tip was already lifting. The pedicure was also disappointing. The leg massage lasted maybe a minute, there was no hot wax treatment, and the entire service felt rushed. I've paid almost half this much at other salons and received far better service and longer-lasting results. I don't mind paying premium prices when the quality matches, but this experience didn't. After three chances, I won't be returning. There are much better salons that offer better quality and value.

Pedicure done by Mai. She left my little tootsies feeling good!…read more I've been coming to Fairmont Nails & Spa for YEARS, and I've followed Tommy and Yen whenever they've moved for 20+ years. They work 6 days a week and are always consistent. They take the time to get to know their customers and they have a huge number of regulars. I don't even have to tell Tommy how I want my nails done. He already knows, and when I went through a phase where I wanted something different every time, Yen put her best creative foot forward and never let me down. The ladies that do the pedicures are all great and friendly. We have conversations about their families and ours. We discuss our vacations and plans. It's an open area with a spa-like atmosphere. There is a separate room for waxing and they have contemporary music playing, while the TVs show whatever talk show/news is currently on with subtitles so you know what's going on. I have zero intentions of going somewhere else for my manicures and pedicures. When you have a good place, you don't leave.

I didn't have time to get my nails done again, so I popped in for a removal. The tech burned my nail and I reacted, she did not apologize or seem to care. When I sat down, she insulted me saying my nails grew out so long. She improperly removed the acrylic set and even tried ripping them off with an extra acrylic nail. She left artificial nail on all of my nails, I realized this when my nails have been in pain. As seen in the photo, my real nail beneath the artificial residue. I have chipped a piece off of the artificial left on top of my real nail, seen in photo 4 in my palm. This is an outrageous way to treat a paying customer, let alone anyone. I am not going to the salon to rectify this so they can cause more damage. I have previously voiced my concern at a separate visit, about the lack of professionalism and aggressive practice done by some of the techs here. It does not seem to me like this salon truly cares about all of their customers and that is disappointing because I had referred family to this salon but will be warning them to save their money and health of their nails. Also worth noting they would only offer certain customers a water, never once did they offer me a water.

We choose our colors, everything was moving smoothly until, I bent down to mention to my technician that I would like to add a color under the glitter because it was very see through, not like it looked like in the book. She ignored me, at this point she had already done one layer on my feet, my friend had to reach other and tell her tech that I wanted to add a color beneath the glitter... she seemed confused and was also ignoring her coworker. More people became involved and they seemed to have misunderstood and though she was painting the wrong color I said no, I just want a color underneath the glitter... well we went on right... well while we continued the paint job wasn't good so I again, asked her to add more color because I could still see my nail bed and she again, ignored me, and after that everything became very uncomfortable. I was upset, I'm sure she was upset, because other people kept having to explain to her what to do... well as she was filing my nails I felt as if I got cut. She was being rough with my feet. I don't usually flinch but I moved my feet in the moment. The massage soon after was painful too she was being very rough through out the whole thing. That's just to summarize what happened that day. Now it's Monday, 1/5 and I have an infection on my toe. It began to get red yesterday 1/4, and today I have pus and it's hard to walk. I hope whoever reads these contacts me and as for my friend, who was kind enough to pay for both of us, deserves a refund. Atleast for my part of the service.
