I was unable to find my charge card while in the drive through... after having been traveling for 2 weeks by car w my dog, the kind wonderful woman behind me added my order to her bill and brought me to tears. I was so grateful on many levels, her kindness and giving, and it all came to me as a brief respit when I failed at adulting and yet here was this guardian angel looking over me and so thank you to her, to Jucy's, to her pastor and her parents for I am sure they are excellent in order to guide her in being so giving and kind. thank you. I had been through a difficult time after the death and burying of a an immediate family member out of state... I hope God gives me an opportunity soon to pay it forward. the food: free beans were delicious, and the giant onion rings had a light fresh breading, and jalapeño ranch dipping sauce was very good. We stopped at Jucys on a road trip and thought it was great! It's a counter service restaurant and what was lacking in ambiance was made up for in food. All three in my family had various burgers and there wasn't a bite left - all very delicious. But my husband raved about the onion rings-large, perfectly battered and cooked. Dropped in as I was passing through Marshall on a road trip. Pre-planning the trip, I had tagged Jucy's as someplace to try because I never heard of it before. I was prepared for it to be a mess but I was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant was very clean and well-kept. It is counter-service, so you order and pay at the counter and they call your number when your food is ready. The counter staff were friendly and answered all my questions about the menu. The list of menu items is large and there are lots of sides to choose from. In the end I had a Jr hamburger and a side of tots. The burger was Wonderful -- a nice, irregular, hand-patted patty with a lovely open fire char to it. Lettuce, tomato, and toppings were crisp and fresh. The tots were decent, but there are enough sides I'll try something else the next time. One nice thing, by the drink station they have a pot with charro beans. These are free if you buy a meal, and were so tasty that I had to stop myself from eating too many. read more

While staying in the area for a work trip I found Jucys Hamburgers in my search for a quick but local burger spot. I decided to drive-thru and get my order in to take back to the hotel with me. Service was quick, through the drive-thru, and the menu was super straightforward. I had noticed, their online menu varies slightly, and may have more specials than just driving up so if you are looking for any deals or family meals ordering online might be the best way to go. The portions on food and my drink was super generous even when ordering to-go. My large drink was so large it barely fit in my cup holder in the car. HA! The burger was super delicious and made to order. I was a happy lady. The fries portion was just right but if you are stingy, like me, you may want to get your own order. After telling a few locals I had a burger here for dinner I was super pleased I tried out a spot that they would recommend to anyone regardless of wanting or craving a burger. I had never had a hamburger from Jucy's, even though I visited their other location in Longview 3 years ago. That location failed to give me my hamburger, a super burger at that, after going through the drive-thru, as I was passing through town. So I wondered how the service would be here in Marshall. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger, fries, and a fountain drink. After tasting the burger finally, I liked it quite a bit and was thinking maybe this is how a whataburher may have tasted in the 50s, assuming they gave you fresh patties back then. Albeit, Jucys is a much larger patty overall. But the bun size, wide patty, and toppings on the burger were almost exactly like whataburger. However, they forgot to give me bacon on my burger....not sure how that happens, but it did. They ended up giving me like 4 slices when I went to the counter to let them know. Their beans are a nice snack while waiting on your burger to cook. I can imagine the cooking time can be longer during busy hours..but I came at around 4pm on a weekday, so it was pretty quick. read more

I have been a hot and cold patron of Jucys Burgers for over 20 years. Their food is always excellent and the inside dining experience is enjoyable. Phoning in for take-out and then picking it up has nearly always been a hit or miss situation .... until this evening! Before today, I would phone my order in and make the short drive to pick it up. If there were two or three cars at the drive up window it meant waiting 10-15 minutes just to get your order so the only option was to park and run inside. Much of the time I'd run inside only to find 5 or 6 people waiting to submit their order to the only cashier working ... that also could mean a 5-10 minute wait to pick up your order that you could see on the counter behind the cashier .... very frustrating and a cold meal when you got home. Well, that all changed this evening! I went online and submitted my order along with payment. Immediately I received an email providing me with instructions about how to pick up my order. Following the simple instructions I drove to the restaurant, parked in a curbside pickup spot, phoned the restaurant and told them my pickup spot number .... within 2-3 minutes a polite young lady brought my order to the car and I drove away. I got the veggie burger and it was killer! Hubby and kids got the cheeseburger put them in carb coma!! I was lucky enough to steal a bite that confirmed my suspicions - heaven sent! best "old" school burgers in Marshall. The waitstaff is always friendly which earns a entire star in my opinion. Which is Not the case at most fast food places in this town. It's always nice to pull through a drive thru window to a smiling face, who in turn hands the food that you spent your own hard earned money on and not have it thrown through your car window AT you like most places in town. In the late 1990s-early 2000s I was a student at East Texas Baptist University in Marshall and visited Jucy's many times. Today I took my family hoping it would have stood the test of time and we were not disappointed. Our order included two bacon cheeseburgers and a junior cheeseburger, all with fries. And they still have free beans? Yep, and they're better than the beans you get just down the street at Bodacious BBQ. All in all, I left today believing that Jucy's burgers may very well be the best in East Texas. They've been doing it for years. You should definitely have one. read more

This is a great place! The menu is extensive, great prices, fair portions, and friendly staff. I don't have one bad thing to say about this restaurant. We enjoyed our Chicken Fried Chicken, Black & Blue Burger, real Fries, crispy toast, yummy cream gravy, sweet tea, and fresh salad. You must try to complimentary beans! I also like the set up of this place. The kitchen and self serve area is in the middle and the seating is set up like a closed in wrap around porch. We love passing through small towns and eating at the best in town type of places. This spot isn't the best burger I've ever had but it's pretty good and has lots of variety. Do not get the side salad though. I don't eat tomatoes so All I ate was lettuce with dressing. I did enjoy the soda machine since they have my favorite, Dasani sparkling. The fries were good and I had a bun less burger with lettuce wraps. The burger lacked seasoning, however it was very fresh. Sure, it's a DQ-esque stand-in-line, order, wait, bus your order and your table experience. But, the menu? And the food? It's the stuff that once made the mythical Kip's Big Boy bigger than life. We're always looking for new places to check out on our road trips around the State. We look for places that have packed parking lots as a clue to how good the good is. The parking lot at Jucy's was full!!! And we pulled in here since we're always ready to try a burger at anytime! It was full, there was a short line, but it moves fairly quick. My wife ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger and also ordered their Fried Green Tomatoes! She ordered our little one a kids Cheeseburger and fries. My turn up to the plate, I ordered their Black and Bleu Burger all the way! It comes with bacon and a blue cheese dressing. I also ordered their Onion Rings because I liked the look of the ones someone in front of me ordered. They we're big and crispy, really good! The guy taking our orders was really friendly and helpful! These burgers were really big and really good!!! Not over cooked, not dried out, just juicy like a burger should be! They we're just great!!! The fried green tomatoes were probably some of the best we've ever had!!! We had drinks to go with our meals.
