Check in offer that is not honored
William M.

It's been awhile since I've been here. I was int he neighborhood and decided to pick up dinner before heading back home. I noticed they had a check in offer for 10% off. I placed my order and let the employee know I had that check in offer. He stated that the owner does not honor those but would be happy to double check for me. He went to the back and asked and the owner came out and waved me off (his way of saying "No"). Ok, no problem, but why not remove the offer? Instead of giving customers false hope' Got home and well the food was about the same as my first visit years ago. The chickens were on the small side and a bit dry. The rice was not very flavorful and was a bit undercooked. Not much has changed here.

I was passing by Juan's Super Pollo Rotisserie Chicken. I decided to park my car in their Plaza and check the Yelp reviews. I was impressed by the great reviews that I read. Of course, I went in! The restaurant was very clean and had many indoor seating. The menu included various family pack, burritos, salads, nachos, chicken bowls, combos and daily specials. I ordered Mini Pack; It included a whole chicken, medium beans, medium rice, medium coleslaw, pico de gallo, tortillas and salsa (I chose my sides). I was happy to find out that they had fresh jalapeño which is my favorite next to any meal. I was really impressed from the speedy service. The staff were very nice and friendly. The chicken was juicy and well seasoned. The rice, beans and pico de gallo were fresh and flavorful. The tortilla was perfect. My family enjoyed their dinner. It was such a great place to try, in addition to the perfect quality of food and their excellent service. I will be regular here for sure!

Haven't been here in a while but decided to stop and eat. I got the chicken burrito combo. It was great. Chicken was moist and everything was flavorful.

Partial menu.

I would rate this a solid 3.5 stars. The burrito I ordered was huge. It had beans, cheese, and a ton of shredded chicken. The chicken was really moist and tasty. My order came with potato salad that was ok but I'm not a huge fan of potato salad. They have a lot of specials on their menu for you to choose from, so you should be able to find something you want. Place was pretty crowded at the lunch hour but the line goes quickly.

Still Searching for My Perfect Commute Dinner Spot!…read more Stopped by La Cosecha Mexican Bistro for dinner, hoping I had finally found that perfect little spot to look forward to during my long commute home. Unfortunately, the search continues! First things first, BRING A JACKET! And maybe a scarf, gloves, and a heated blanket while you're at it. This place was FREEZING! I'm all for a comfortable dining atmosphere, but I wasn't expecting to have dinner inside a walk-in refrigerator. And the music? LOUD! Don't get me wrong, I love good music, but between the volume and my teeth chattering from the cold, I could barely hear the person sitting next to me. Now, let's talk about the food. I ordered the chilaquiles, which came with a $30 price tag. For that price, I was expecting a little Mexican magic on my plate. Instead, I got something that tasted more like tortilla chips covered in plain tomato sauce. Bland, underwhelming, and definitely not worth the price. I really wanted to love this place, especially since it's conveniently located along my commute. But between the Arctic temperatures, nightclub-level music, and expensive, flavorless food, I left disappointed. The verdict: I came looking for my new favorite dinner spot and left looking for my car heater. The hunt for my perfect commute restaurant continues!

I don't know why this was my first time visiting Pepe's, there is a location in Alhambra that's been there forever and really close to where my parents live, but I never went there for whatever reason. But I'm really happy with my first visit at Pepe's. Prices are fair for what you get ($10 for the breakfast burrito) and the lady at the register was really helpful in accommodating my request for a modified burrito. I loved reading the history of the company and the owners on the wall while we waited for our food. The burritos were HUGE, hearty and tasty! The lady gave me a bunch of salsas to try and they were all good. I was totally satisfied with my meal! I didn't know until after I paid and saw my receipt that there is a credit card processing fee. FYI, pay cash if you want to avoid the fee.

A song of praises for a burrito I was planning to eat in my car. I'm a relatively skilled in-car-while-driving-including-managing-per-bite-salsa-dollops person. But as you can see from exhibit A below, only a true master would attempt the feat of eating what I received in-car-while-driving-including-managing-per-bite-salsa-dollops. Like maybe Booger (Nerds). I do think it was mildly unacceptable to give me the burrito in this condition. When I was able to safely eat it at my desk 40 minutes later, it was good. But I won't sing yet. I'll save it for the mulligan.

You can park in the additional parking spots all around Shopper Ln. I have been a customer for many years and tried many delicious dishes. They serve a traditional Mexican open buffet at certain times. The waiting line is expected, but don't feel discouraged because it moves fast. The decor is vibrant enriched with colorful murals. The staff are very welcoming and genuinely warm. The restaurant has cozy and inviting ambience. Outdoor and indoor seating are available. I placed an online order for pickup. It was fast and convenient since I had friends coming for dinner. I ordered the following: - Burrito Panchon 5/5 Stuffed with carnita, beans and rice, served with cream, beans and guacamole. Huge portion! You can choose your protein. - Fajitas Cielo Mar Y Tierra 5/5 Marinated beef, shrimp, chicken. It served with sauteed bell peppers tomatoes and onions, rice, guacamole, beans and pico de gallo. It was smoky, savory and flavorful. - Vegetarian Enchiladas 5/5 Corn tortillas stuffed with bell pepper, corn, onion, carrot, cilantro, squash, and topped with a combination of cream and jack cheese. The portion was enormous. It was a very flavorful and savory. - Carna Asada 5/5 Flap meat marinated with homemade adobo. It served with pico de gallo, rice & guacamole. The meat was juicy and tender. It was such a delicious dish. - Empanadas 5/5 I chose chicken empanadas. It served with salad. The empanadas was crispy from outside and very flavorful. - Ensalada de Nopales 5/5 Diced cactus mixed with tomatoes, onion, lime, and cilantro. - Taquitos 5/5 It was crispy from outside with savory and juicy filling. - Taco de Cameron , taco de Pescado & taco de Birria 5/5 They were savory, juicy and delicious. - Beans 5/5 Topped with melted cheese, really delicious - Large Bionico Bowl 5/5 Fresh fruits like topped strawberries, mango, cantaloupe, banana, papaya, blueberries, apples, pineapple topped with granola and shaved coconut. It was rich, creamy. The fruits were fresh and sweet. It was heavenly! Every box was wrapped with layers of plastic wrap perfectly. I got a bag full of different types of salsa with my order and another bag with tortilla chips. The food portions were very generous. Every dish reflected authenticity and deliciousness. Fonda Don Chon has high quality, flavorful and delicious food. It is my FAVORITE MEXICAN RESTAURANT.

We were seated promptly by the hostess and our server came quickly to get our drinks. He was nice and checked in on us often and took plates away. The only thing I wouldn't order again is probably the mango michelada. My boyfriend and I love michis! But hmmm the mango tasted like mango which is accurate but for some reason it just didn't really work well with the taste of a michelada. I would just order a regular one next time! Just because we didnt like it, doesn't mean you wont or shouldn't try! Anyways, the food was fresh and good! I just kept eating the fresh tortillas haha they were absolutely delicious. Ummm their caldo de res ?! Amazing. Got like four servings haha couldn't help myself. I personally just love a shit ton of cilantro and onions on my plate so it was really nice they had a salsa bar next to the soups. My boyfriend liked the breakfast bar they had as well which I think stops at a certain time! They had a lot of different things and I loved that! The only thing that was sort of awkward but funny was this girl randomly came up out of nowhere while we were eating and asked us to get closer so she could take a photo for us. We were kind of like huh? Haha because we were in the middle of eating so I wasn't really wanting to take a photo at that time. But we just went with it and smiled and then she took a couple more and then she said ok I'll be right back. And then maybe like 10 min later she comes back with one smaller photo with the border being Guadalajara's grill like location and times and stuff and us in the middle HAHA and then says that's for us and it's free and then takes out two more bigger ones of us that are just in like a felt frame, which was nice but said these cost like can't remember how much it was. But it was enough for me to say no hahaha and also I think we were both just caught off guard and when we said no thank you, she sort of looked up at someone (almost like signaling them that we said no) and gave a smirk and walked away HAHAH it was so awkward and weird but when I opened my purse later and found it I started laughing bc it just created a funny moment and memory. Anyways this place is good, seems hit or miss but definitely should be tried at least once! Very fresh and good, service is fast and attentive! This is probably the cheapest lunch buffet I've had and it was definitely worth it!

Great. I obviously didn't think he would count my 8 MONTH OLD BABY. But the bill came and was paid for before we noticed that they charged us for a child who doesn't even eat solids yet!
