If I could give zero stars I would. I got my car here to have equipment removed. And am in cue to coordinate a tow for pick up...the owner began texting me "pick up car now or I'm towing it" I told him I have coordinated one and I'm in cue. It's not instant. And he then said "he did so much for me " and that "he was getting it towed now" I would not trust this guy. Slimy and a scammer. Didn't even do the job and now I have to spend more money and waste my entire day trying to wait by the car for the tow. Even had to get the police involved. read more

I got ripped off and taken advantage by Esteban. Days after getting a new radio, rear view camera, and microphone for phone calls put in, I reviewed the bill and itemized charges with my eldest son. My son was appalled to see that pointed out that Esteban charged me over $200 for a rear view camera that can be bought for $60 on line. The radio put in was a cheaper model, and days later I discovered that the ANTENNAE WAS NOT HOOKED UP. I am a senior citizen, female, who walked in for service trusting that the quality of parts would be at least moderate in value and performance and that nothing would be inflated. My fault for not asking more questions, but it is can be hard to ask questions when you are naive and not knowledgable about car stereos and camera systems. Estevan was intimidating to deal with when I tried twice to talk to him about the pricing and quality of products. As a woman, I felt that I would have been better off having a man join me in trying to resolve the problems. I will never use this company again, and I highly recommend that buyers beware. read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO THIS PLACE , Here's why - I brought my car in about a month ago I bought a brand android deck for mycar online...Because his were outrageously priced!!! So all he had to do was put the deck in thats it.. told me it will be ok we are experts, 1st said he would do it for $130.then when I brought it in the price went up to $ 250 .. right then I said well $300 is all i can afford..so proceeded.. a day later yeag had my car overnight. I CALLED next day cause was getting late , told me to come get it they just got done?? I get there he takes me in car and quickly distracts me withthe way it sounds, thats it didnt try to explaine how it works . Now hwe go inside and bills me $690.00. $250 for labor onthe deck ,charged me forr 17ft of speed wire my car is 11feet and inside it is even shorter rhan that. Broke my stock GPS antenna pf the top of my car ,and didn't say nothing to me about it at all. Also two scratchs on passengerside. And a ding , oh yeah Ripped out alll my brand new amp wires chsrged me for all new why ????never asked me to do that. He screwes the amp down on the back of the back seat another Thing they didnt ask ,the car was a mess wires clippings all over my stock deck. Just tossed in back. Plus if he is such a expert.why did .he run 4 RCA along with the power wire and ground , without. twisting them..... rookie move gives feed back in speakers. Listen. The car stereo install business is a hustle!! You dont need a degree, certification., school nothing. And they make almost as much ascertified mechanic.. I needed speakers replaced so I bought four plus a sub with amp. I went to JS for install. On Monday, the Boss said to come back tomorrow. He pointed out all the cars ahead of mine. When I arrived early the next day he said he could handle it easily. I took the Rapidline downtown and set to work. He called at 2:30 - all done and early. I bused back and he showed me my invoice - more $100 less than quoted - all the cable harnesses were with the speakers I had bought - so zero parts; only installation and testing. They listened to what I wanted out of my driving environment and had very reasonable solutions. So now I can enjoy hands free talking on my phone and a stereo that plays music very very well. I was never over sold. The best is the installation crew. WHAT I MEAN IS... the installation was very professional. An overall four star rating here and everyone was extolling his honesty, great customer service, reasonable prices, and ability to do great work quickly. I was impressed and a little curious so I decided to go check it out. I had recently bought a used a truck, which I love, but it did not have an up to date stereo system. I know I am old school, but even I no longer have cassettes, lol. The speakers are great just needed a blue-tooth CD player. I didn't have a lot to spend on it and after I had had a frustrating visit to Car Toys this last weekend which left me thinking I was gonna be stuck listening to the radio for the rest of my life, I headed up to JS Advanced Stereo after work today. Estaban greeted me and asked how he could help. I explained what I was looking for and how I doubted I would be able to get what I needed in my budget, as well as installation. I explained how I had seen his store on Yelp and was impressed with the glowing reviews about him and his business. Within 15 minutes he had found a really nice Sony stereo for me and done some quick calculations and came up with a number I could handle. The total cost, new unit, all the extra needed for installation, and the install came to less than half of what CTs lowest offer was. This guy is very honest. My vehicle has been plagued with electrical issues causing the battery to drain. I had thought it was the alarm. He spent 15 minutes with me at no charge just testing out my existing alarm before giving his opinion the alarm is probably not the culprit. I also had some speakers installed because the factory ones had long since died. Loving my new speakers. And they fit in the factory door panel so you could never tell I had them replaced accept for the sound. Great place, I recommend! read more

Although I'm not proud of the fact that I had to get an ignition interlock installed on my car (DUI 6 years ago), I was lucky that my first choice of installers didn't work out. Esteban took care of all the paperwork for me. I left my vehicle with them overnight. when I went in the next day(today) to pick it up, I was greeted by another very polite gentleman that took me to my car and with the utmost patience, trained me on how to use the damn thing! Been doing business with this place for about 4 years. I've had 5 stereos installed two sets of speakers and an alarm and two back up cameras. And power locks. He really sold me on the Puoneer NEX double din stereos and when I went in awhile back he discontinued saying he could not get serviced locally anymore. Why should I have a different brand in my wife's car when we are already familiar with that one. I went in today to have him put in a switch for my power locks and he explained to me there is a valet mode and told me I should read the instruction manual and instead of trying to show me how it works he just interrupted and told me to read manual. When I tried to tell him an issue with the reset button he interrupted me and I explained I was talking and to let me finish he said I was being sarcastic I told him I was done with his place and that he was an asshole. If you do business here be prepared for high pressure sales tactics and and you will likely leave with what you did not intend to get in the first place. I actually have a speaker he installed that has failed but I would rather go get one from another than deal with his inability to deal with a customer who may have an issue. I never price shopped him or looked him up I just wanted to do business with someone in my local neighborhood. Do your self a favor drive by this guy and Take your chances somewhere else. read more

I bought a car stereo off Craigslist after mine was stolen. I stopped by JS advanced car stereo to get an estimate and Esteban was professional and communicative from the start. He gave me an estimate of $65 and we scheduled the work for a couple days later. He called the day of my appointment to remind me. When I brought it in he got to work on it immediately and had it done in 45 minutes. He added a trim around it that made it look better since the stereo I had did not have that. He told me his work has a lifetime warranty. The final cost was exactly as estimated. I recommend this shop. I had called two other car stereo shops before going in to JS and they gave me a bit of attitude, so I appreciated Esteban's great customer service. read more

Well I am officially a fan of these guys and most certainly a customer for life. I called earlier in the week to ask some questions and get prices. Esteban was patient and super helpful. I ended up making an appointment to get speakers installed for Friday at 4. I ended up having a conflict later in the day so I called them up at 9:30 to see if I could come in sooner. Esteban said to come in now. I arrived about 30 minutes later and Esteban greeted me enthusiastically. We looked at a few different options and he was patient and helpful. Very pleased with the information shared before the installation. This is what I wanted for my 02 Tundra. If you want out of your stock radio you owe it to yourself to stop by JS. I was told the installation would take two hours and when I returned less than 90 mins later the Tundra was outside the service bay waiting for pick up. This place offers the kind of small-town, personalized, honest, no-BS customer service that you don't find very often these days. Esteban was very friendly, up-front, and great to work with. My story: I'd had a stereo installed at Car Toys in Belltown last year. When it died a few months later, it was still under warranty -- but by then that location was closed. So I took it to another Car Toys (wayyyyy out of town), only to find they weren't stocking that model anymore. After some drama, they swapped out the stereo with a replacement -- but Car Toys did a crappy job of installing it (rear speakers were dim, right side speakers no longer worked, static on the radio... all of which weren't the case before the swap). Needless to say, I didn't want to deal w/ driving all over creation, and I definitely didn't want to deal with Car Toys again. After seeing the reviews on the Yelp page for JS Advanced Stereo, I scheduled an appointment... and now I'm giving them 5 stars myself. They fixed the crappy installation pretty quickly, and all my speakers work fine now. They could have used this as an opportunity to sell me a new stereo or new speakers, but they didn't -- just fixed someone else's screw-up and charged me a fair price for their time. When I asked, Esteban let me know what options I had for upgrades without any hint of high-pressure sales. Great work, fair prices -- highly recommended. First Esteban was a customer at my work. I saw his shirt and asked him about installing an alarm on my car, and if it he could do it since it's Right Hand Drive from Japan. 'No problem, i'll take care of you". I drove down to his shop first to at least see if he was sketchy or not, but nope. Shop looked really legit, and professional. I scheduled a time after he gave me a great estimate/quote, two weeks later i was in, 4 hours later I was a happy man. Car Toys want twice as much for the same alarm. My Chevy truck was broken into. The wiring and my aftermarket blue tooth microphone were pulled at and they pulled and dislodged other wires and broke dash pieces out. I took my vehicle here to have an alarm installed. Not only was an alarm installed but they put all the wires back, got all the dash pieces and parts back together and they cleaned the truck interior as well. The final result was excellent. I was very happy and I was only charged for the price of the alarm and installation. I was so impressed with the customer service. I would highly recommend them. -Tony read more
