So apparently Yelp hasn't been helpful with changing this business's information, but know that Andy is great and service is great! Make sure to call them before going. They also don't sell speakers and install anymore (again, Yelp hasn't been helpful changing information). They did amazing with tinting my car for the and would definitely come back to this same business for future needs. Would also highly recommend them to friends and family. Cost isn't that bad either. I've had other businesses quote me double for half the work that needed done. read more

Great value work especially for a 1 person working shop. I tinted my car here and have recommended others also. No complaints here or through any friends that I have recommended. It's been almost a year since the tint and there has been no peeling or any issues. My friends that come here haven't had any issues either. read more

Very helpful and friendly . . Outstanding tint job on my car . I got a good deal on all five windows. Thank you!

I have been getting all of my vehicle's windows tinted here for years. My brother has come here to get old tint removed (used car) and replaced. Great service. They stand by their work and I have never had an issue. I would highly recommend bringing your vehicles here for window tinting. read more

Grade A service. Couldn't recommend more for the value and service that was provided in a timely manner!

They don't take apple pay-seems like they don't know how. They don't manually put your card number either. I did my car window tinting-$200 before tax. Found a bubble it went a way after I pushed in. They did good job. read more

For about 3 months I have been scouting for car stereo upgrade to my JBL disc changer system since it started showing signs that it is about to expire. I have checked around several places including the famous Car Toys. I decided to check Yelp for some feedback/reviews and came across Magic Auto Sound. Family-run business. I had a touch-screen/dvd stereo system installed. Brian was the one who set-up everything for me. He was nice enough to also replace a busted center console lightbulb at no charge. In the end, I also ended up adding a back-up camera installed. Everyone is friendly and accommodating. I am so pleased I checked Yelp first because I would not have found Magic. Don't even go anywhere else. I highly recommend Magic. Next time, I will come back to get HID installed. Thanks Brian and Magic family. read more

Well first I brought my car in for a tint. They offered me a ride to the mall and pick me up while I wait.. that's what I call customer service. First vehicle done and it looks great, no bubbles or anything g and same day appointment. Today I called in for my second car and I called 30 mins before they open. He called back at 9 when they are open and he asked what he can do since he saw the missed call. Another same day appointment. Now I am sitting here and it is pretty cold, he just brought me a heater so I get warm! They provide excellent customer service, quality work for a really decent price!!! read more

This is probably the best place to get your windows tinted in the federal way area. Good customer service, no air bubbles.

Got an alarm system w keyless entry installed on my truck that had manual door locks. Works great! I don't have to use the key to lock and unlock any more :) Install looks clean. Pricing was much better than Car Toys. Nice people. I like supporting these types of local shops. read more

Drove to location to figure out location opened only by appointment and no longer does car audio.

I purchased a Groupon to get my windows tinted at M.A.S and since it was a BMW it was an additional $50 charge at the store. We were informed about the additional charge prior to booking the appointment so no surprise there . I was a bit nervous reading some negative reviews but decided to go ahead and take the chance anyway since I really wanted my windows tinted and my husband was only willing to go the groupon route lol. But anyway, Brian did I great job he was extremely nice and professional. The whole thing took less than 3 hours and I had no bubbling whatsoever on any window. The only thing I did notice was that some windows had some small "scratches" on it , idk I'll see if it'll come off once I clean the window after the drying period but It's not a big issue . Overall I recommend this shop for anyone thinking of getting their windows tinted. read more

Find another place to install your stereo! They seemed like a nice family owned business. When I met Andy (the owner on paper but his father runs the place) he was really nice even as he explained to me the best way to skirt the laws in place for driving and watching movies. He installed a switch and told me if I were to get pulled over just flip this switch and the police will not be able to tell that the DVD player was on! I paid around $1600 dollars to have them install 2 subwoofers in a sealed box with amp included, 4 midrange door speakers and 4 tweeters that I had purchased from Amazon.com. (they sell the same ones for $150 more than amazon. I purchased a DVD player stereo and an amp from magic audio. After all was finished I left for home only to have my dash fall apart on my way there. I fixed it myself that night. When I closed my driver side door I felt the handle pop up out of its mooring!? WTF!? my door too! Same problem with the door handle. They were so incompetent that they broke all the locking tabs on the door panels of 2 doors and my dash. I again fixed it myself. When I left for work the next morning I noticed that my rear view mirror was leaking oil from the bottom. (It's a $500 dollar dimmable/multi sensor mirror.) I have 3 cameras inside my vehicle for work / safty reasons and good thing I do! I rewound the tape and watched the very moment when Andy's little brother broke my mirror. I then put on my hidden pen camera and went to confront magic audio about the damage. (They knew my car was rigged with cameras because I notified them and asked that they leave them plugged in during the installation process, plus they had to work around them.) I first spoke with Andy's little brother who acknowledged that he had caused the damage and promised to fix it or write me a check for the cost. (All of which was captured on 1080p video!) He said he would order the factory mirror and replace it the next few days after it came in because they do not stock this type of mirror. I was fine with that and went on my way. After a few days went by with no word I stopped back by the shop to find out what was being done. They made me wait a long time before coming to tell me that the Dad said they wouldn't pay for my $500 dollar mirror. I informed him that I have the whole thing on video and that I would take him to small claims court to remedy my problems if they chose to ignore the damage. Then they said that if I can just show them the video they will fix it today? I said that's not how that works. You know damn well YOU did the damage! They just wanted to see if I could prove it or not. I tried very hard to work with this entire family. (I personally always try to support family business). They then told me that they cannot fix my mirror because their dad was out of the country and to come back next month when he gets back so he can fix it. I let them know that as long as it was fixed I would still give them a 5 star rating on yelp. I came back the very Monday that we had agreed on exactly 36 days prior. They acted like they didn't know who I was or why I was there!? At this point I had wasted far too much time and energy to work with them on anything other than fixing my car. They once again said that if I can show them the video they will fix it. I said that they will see it in court at which point in time they can also pay for my lost wages, travel expenses, attorney's fees, damaged mirror, damaged dash, and refund my money for the incompetent work done on my vehicle as well as whatever the courts deemed justified for my inconvenience. That is where I sit now. I will update this review after the small claims court has ruled on my claim against Magic Car Audio. Go down the street to cartoys and get it done correctly for $20 bucks more. This place is NOT going to follow the law on fixing damages incurred by technicians in their employment. read more

First off i wish i could give a 10 but this review can only go up to 5 but anyways so i was driving around looking at places to get an alarm put on my new car i checked my usual spot that i used to go to but lately i seen bad reviews about them so i figured id weigh my options and try something new, I stopped by CarToys which was a mistake because i was quoted 590 for a two way pager alarm so i walked out and i saw this place on Yelp with good reviews so i stopped by early and i was shocked to find out that i could get what i wanted for 308 after tax and installation included! so i said lets do this and it took about 3 Hours give or take but i wouldn't want to rush something important and have them mess up or anything. All in all these guys know what they are doing and i will tell everyone i know about them also i will be back for other needs! read more

When I read the review where someone said that there were bumps in their cars window after he got them tinted, I was very nervous to get mine done here. BUT, I am so glad that I just got them done here anyways. I told the worker that I was nervous to get my windows tinted because I read a review where there would be bumps... but he assured me that there are bumps in all window tinting when you first get them done. He told me that they would go away after 2 weeks...And surely enough they have gone away! So to that review: I bet the bumps are all gone now! And to all other prospective customers: The bumps will go away!! So do not worry! :) The employees here were really sweet and understanding! I am so happy that I came here and that I mentioned my nervousness about the bumps! I will definitely be coming back to this shop if I ever need windows tinted again! I highly recommend this place whether it is your 1st time getting your windows done, or not! Great local business, great service, great work! read more

Solid guy, super nice. They have lifetime warranty on their tints and have 5, 20, 30% tints.

LOVE THIS PLACE! I have taken 2 of my cars here for stereo installation. Quick and painless and they have a lifetime warranty on the work performed there which is an added plus! Took my 06 Jetta in 2015 and my 04 TSX last week couldn't have asked for anything better. I was quoted on the phone $80-$150 then when I went to pay the owner said it would've been like 200 but since he quoted me he kept his promise which is a huge plus for me! Thank you so much you guys I will continue to come back. read more

I had a great experience at Magic Auto Sound. They are newer to the Federal Way area after having run a shop for a long time in California. Given they were new, I was a little hesitant to try them out. Plus my car, a BMW Z3, is really, really hard to work on. I spent a lot of time reading online about special non-standard speakers that would be required, there was some cutting required on stock sub enclosure, plus it's a convertible and there just isn't a lot of space to work in a car like that. Magic Auto Sound replaced all of the stock speakers (6+subwoofer) and they installed an extra set of tweeters (for FREE) with my job which I thought was a nice touch. They also put an amp in the trunk, re-wired the car, and installed a new Bluetooth deck. Brian handles the customer service and he was easy to work with. Installation was reasonable and the new system sounds great. I had bought a replacement sub for them to install, but it turned out to be the wrong one. They went online and bought the sub I needed for me. Here are some highlights of my experience: * The worksmanship on the amp install in the trunk was top notch. The trunk in my car is super small, they built a custom mount, carpeted it (I can't even tell which carpet they installed vs. what was in there before), mounted the amp. It looks pro. * I told them on first listen the tweeters sounded quiet. They installed a second pair of tweeters. Sound is amazing. * Installation was relatively quick and definitely less expensive than I thought it would be. * They went out of their way to order a custom speaker for my car and have it shipped to them online * They were very careful to explain how everything worked (I am not an audio person) and make sure I was making the right decision for me and not buying a bunch of stuff I didn't really want or need * Good communication. They would call me with ETA on delivery and kept me up to date on progress One other thing, this is a family shop. They deserve your patronage. Definitely 5 stars. read more

Certain things in life have to be done right the first time or it's a very big pain to correct later. Tinted windows on your car are one of those. Brian Han at Magic Auto Sound provided me an email quote and graciously accomodated my late arrival. His meticulous crew of Craftsmen produced a beauty to behold on- time and on-budget. That is becoming RARE these days. There was no attempt to upsell me into the stratosphere and I left feeling GOOD ! Their work has a lifetime guarantee ! Brian also had an array of (as the name implies) a variety, of quality sound components and alarm systems in a very clean and orderly showroom up front. Pricing was very tempting. In short, this business will be growing and I was very happy to do my part. Thank you Brian ! Service with a smile. Can't beat it. read more
