I had Foss replaced my radio with my original radio and after it's been replaced I no longer have my CD TV. Whatever you want to call it in my backseat. I don't have any radio controls on my steering wheel. My backup camera only works when it wants to and It's been having a constant whine in the speakers after about one month. I didn't bring it back because the guy had an attitude, not the owner. He was pretty cool but the other guy if I remember right he used to work for sound Auto and that used to be not the best place to go to. So I just left it alone. I've had this issue now with everything on my car that I've listed and I will just take it somewhere else. They charged me over $500 just to put in my original radio. That was a rip-off when you lost everything that you had in there. The guy even came out and told me only after he installed it that I will no longer have any controls for the radio in the steering wheel and the Blu-ray or whatever call that TV thing in the back. Why didn't he tell me that way before he started? That is the question. read more

Usually have work done at Foss Tukwila location but they were booked out, so they had me come to the Burien location. Installed head unit, amp, sub and they also diagnosed and fixes 2 speakers that had just stopped working. Quality work, attention to detail. What can I say about Foss Audio and specifically Mike now owning Sounds On Wheels short of amazing service and quality work. Had my windows on my new Sprinter matched and tinted by Mike with Ceramic Tint. His advice and workmanship is spot on. He also did my CRV about a year prior when he was just the best tinter at Foss in Tukwilla...now he is both the owner and best at Sounds On Wheels. He made arrangements to come in on a Sunday even due to the 24' Sprinter needing room in the shop. You can see by the pictures that the work is top notch. First off, i should have never let these guys touch my truck. Especially after how rudely I was treated when I initially went in for a quote. I went against my gut instinct and scheduled an appointment anyways. (To install an amplifier and subwoofer that I had already had). They quoted me $188 + tax. When the day of the install came, the guy said that I would need to purchase a few more adapters and what not.. Which was basically another $100. Which was fine, i wanted my stereo to be done properly. Keep in mind that this is a brand new gmc denali (a $70,000 truck). I asked that they use adhesive or velcro to mount the components as i did not want any holes in my truck. 3 hours later i picked my truck up and to my surprise, there were screws and holes in my dash, there was some kind of wire just hanging out from underneath the drivers seat, a dent in my bumper and to top it off, the subwoofer barely even bumped. (He told me that my amp was too weak to push the subwoofer). Then, on my way home the subwoofer was getting some kind of road noise and feedback. I took it back and the guy was very very rude and didn't want to help me at all. (Just to clear this up, i took the sub and amp out, installed in another car and it pounded hard like it should). I am not sure what these guys did to my truck, but it does not work at all. When I called back again, the guy told me that i needed to buy some more adapters and that he wanted to pull the truck's headliner out to disconnect the microphones. (Which he thought was causing the feedback). All in all, i would never take another vehicle to these guys. And they don't even deserve the 1 star i gave them. Straight up joke and the worst customer service ever! I feel like i would probably kick this guy's ass if i ever saw him outside of their shop. But i think i will let karma take care of this guy for me! Moral of the story, do not go to sounds on wheels in burien. Waste of money!!! And ruined my brand new truck!! I pray that the owners read this and contact me personally to hash this out. read more

Still had to buy a few things from them, but the price was only 100$ more then the quote. Great price. Took such good care of my 16 year old. You're not just a number like at car toys. Total scheduling nightmare and a waste of several hours of our time with no install completed.

Well, this is only a preliminary rating because so far my only experience has been: picked up my car after a remote start was installed and it's not working. Called today to see if maybe they could look at it or make sure it's programmed properly and the guy was so incredibly rude and kept cutting me off that I just hung up. I was afraid I'd say something REALLY mean - so hanging up was the nicest thing I could do. I'm going to try to figure it out myself and if that doesn't work, God help me, I'll have to take it back in and then I suppose I'll be updating this review. Unless it gets worse. =) read more

Wow! Spent well over $3,000 with John. Clarion deck was absolute junk from day one. Returned numerous times for dead batteries in my truck after numerous excuses the tech eventually concluded they didn't unplug factory amp which was draining and killing batteries. Back up camera never worked properly along with the Alpine speakers continued to blow. I wouldn't recommend using this place. Would do nothing for me. read more

on website it says they do all kinds of things like roof rack installation, they don't.. please if you don't do something, don't advertize that you do.. chick was really nice, but the guy seemed irritated about me asking about roof rack install, and after me saying it's on your website, silence then (I don't do installs) then take it off your website stop advertizing it and you'll stop getting calls and people visiting about it.. haven't had any experience with anything else in store, but thought i'd write up due to the fact of false advertizing, hate having my time wasted.. read more

I like this guy, Sure he is a little grumpy at First. But when the owner is the Manager, Salesman and installer, you know that he will deliver good quality work. Because of the low volume/one store situation it is tough for him to compete with big stores on prices, but walk in knowing what you want to pay and he will work with you on the price. I have had Five Cars thru his shop for a variety of Stereos or Alarms and have been satisfied with each job. I will continue to use this shop and never go to a big chain store because of the quality of installation. read more

Making an appointment weeks prior for an appointment at 9am and still sitting around and being ignored at 12 noon on the day of the appointment doesn't seem to matter to them. Recommended after my factory stereo went south. Store is perfect size and speaks in volume in selection and sound. I was so impressed I took the money I was going to use to fix my factory and selected a really nice Sony. Yes they are busy and I had to wait a week to for installation but was well worth the wait (and really a week is not bad). John had it installed and ready in less than an hour and it looks great in the car. He took the time to show me the key bells and whistles and overall was just a very good man to deal with.
