Stopped by a few days ago and couldn't believe how steep their drink prices were. UnAmerican.

Walking distance from the hotel. Everything we were looking for. Great place to watch a game or watch the local scene.

Well we were looking forward to trying this place for yet another food opportunity…read more As we walked through the front door there were no tables or chairs. On further examination we realized it was all UPSTAIRS......UP TWO FLIGHTS OF STAIRS!! NO ELEVATOR!!! I am 80 and my wife is 76. Not a good start. We were told that you order here where we came in then HEAD UPSTAIRS and our food will be brought to us. ODD..... OSHA would love this plan......NOT!! Now to the food. This place is mostly a bar with a wide variety of beers etc. Their food is exclusively chicken. Not bad but very average. All in all our experience was disappointing to say the least. Probably for a younger crowd.

After you order you go upstairs and find a seat and they bring you your food. After finding a seat at a table we waited for the table to be bussed and no one ever came or apparently didn't hear us or care the two times we asked. That being said it's a pretty loud place but it was to be expected as it was more of a bar setting. They have lots of beers on tap and plenty of tv's to keep you busy while waiting. The food itself - the chicken was pretty good along with the barbecue sauce, the rice was good, and I liked the slaw but they do warn you that it's a vinegar based slaw which if you don't like vinegar you'll want to choose something else. I'll probably give it another go some time down the road.

The food and drinks were excellent, but the highlight of the night was Trent. We were looking for recommendations on things to do in the area, and Trent absolutely delivered. Scenic drives, sightseeing spots, Yellowstone stops, local attractions--you name it, he had a recommendation for it. The suggestions were coming faster than we could write them down, and every time we thought he was done, he'd remember three more places we needed to see. His food and cocktail recommendations were spot on, and he was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. As an added bonus, his voice carries exceptionally well, so hearing all of those recommendations was never an issue, even on a busy Friday night. Copper is a great spot, but Trent is what made the experience memorable. If you find yourself sitting at his bar, settle in--you'll leave with a great meal, a great drink, and a much longer list of places to visit than you arrived with.

Food and service was pretty average - we like to order an adult beverage before dinner and peruse the menu. We were told the bar was backed up so we should get our food order in. So, not a take-your-time kinda place. Not rude, but not chill. Shared a 1/2 portion wedge salad @ $12 - perfect for two and tasty. Main entrees were a bit disappointing: 8 oz Tenderloin Filet @ $54 was cooked a bit more than requested and it came with (2) baked potatoes which we've never seen before (+ $4 upcharge). The Pan Seared Trout @ $34 was prepared nicely but there is not any flavor; served w/ a Blackberry BBQ but very sparingly. Super bland. Would come back to visit the bar - would consider ordering a burger, but wouldn't return for the main entrees.

They squeezed us in - a lovely lounge spot by the fire. We had two kids , 5 and 7, hangry from a day on the slopes - and they were so kind. Our server went way out of her way to work around my long list of food allergies. Food, service, staff, everything was top notch!

Food arrives on room-service carts, and ours was all Cold. Not just temperate or not-hot, but room-temp. $25 Wagyu Cheeseburger sound pretty good? Nope. It wasn't even kept under a heatlamp between the era when it was made and when it was served. Edges were dry and cold, not even warm in the center, zero juice. I get it, resort prices, convenience of eating in the Summit Lodge, trying hard not to complain about the $25 price, but it was just a limp cold burger. Fries? Also cold. I mean, the least they could have done, after recognizing the long time passed between making the meal and serving it, is refresh the fries, no? Cold greasy fries, cold dry overcooked burger. One star at any price. It's not like there's a shortage of burger options right at the Summit either. Am I going to complain that it was $75 for three burgers at our table? No, not if they were hot juicy Wagyu Cheeseburgers, but then, these were not.

Old Saloon was closed for the first half of the week we were there (along with all the other food options) but we managed to pop in Wednesday night after a long, exhausting day. We found half of the dining area was closed so there were only about 6 tables available, plus bar seating (we had 8 people). Service was ok, but we did have to ask for refills each time we needed one and for sugar when it was forgotten. The menu was super limited (different than what their online menu showed which was disappointing because we went for certain things and none ended up being on the menu) and really expensive for what we had to choose from (ex. $4 to add jalapeño and $4 to add bacon to a burger- insane). The food was not great. I got the Big Sky (grilled chicken sandwich with bacon) and it was dry/overcooked. Asked for it with the ranch on the side (I don't like ranch) and it was put on it and on the side. Sweet potato fries were all stuck together and just not great. Overall, maybe we caught them on a bad day, but it was the worst stop we had on our trip. We got food, we ate, it did the truck, but it was over priced and just meh.
