I have only been here once but my experience was excellent. I came to Joyride to watch a MNF game, so they were pretty packed. The servers were absolutely amazing, constantly checking up if we needed more beers, usually before the beers we had were finished. They have a different food truck every night of the week, which is nice and convenient since Joyride doesn't serve food. I had the Breast in Show beer, it was kind of fruity and delicious. One of my favorite things about this place though, is how dog friendly they are! Since they are in Edgewater, they don't fall under Denver laws, which recently banned dogs allowed at brewery. One of the waitresses actually brought my dog a treat. Can't wait to go back! read more

Hot damn, another brewery within walking distance! Simply being within a mile is only enough to get me there once though. If you want repeat customers, you're going to have to make good beer and not be a d-bag about it either. Check and Check! Every beer I had there was above average but the standout was their Fresh Nugz Wet Hop Pale Ale. It's only a seasonal so make sure you get it while you can. The milk stout and regular pale ale are pretty tasty as well. I'll definitely be adding the spot into my rotation. The space is cool, service doesn't suck and the beers are tasty. read more

I've now been to Joyride enough times that I can make an adequate assessment of this brewery... All signs are pointing to fantastic! Every time I've been here I had great service and delicious beers. They have everything from light to dark and low alcohol to knock your socks off and all have a great taste and feel very polished. The brewery itself is fairly expansive with large garage doors which offers great views of Sloan's Lake. Along with the vast amount of seating in the brewery, they also have a great little back patio with corn hole sets to be played. Overall I can't think of much that is bad about this place other than once and a while it gets too busy. I'd have to imagine that's not a bad thing in regards to their reputation. If you're in this area of town I highly recommend hitting them up! read more

This has been my favorite brewery for over 4 years. No different during Covid. I feel safe with their procedures in place and can't wait to come back for the best trivia nights I've ever been to! I wondered how on earth did that pawn shop stay open for so long... I have to admit on my first visit I was pretty disappointed with both the quantity and the quality of the beers I tried. They only had four of their obviously not as popular beers that were cloudy on tap with about three others sold out. But, I liked the staff and the room so I knew I would be back for another try. Much mo betta this time around with seven beers all decent with a stand out stout and a pretty good pale. Like everyone else has mentioned the space is cool and I'm looking forward to trying other beers from them as they settle into Edgewater. read more

Really awesome staff, and great beer, we had the double IPA, the Belguim dubbel and the fall beer. All were near prefect. No food here, but they allow outside munchies in! They have televisions for all you sports fans. They were about to release a cherry stout and something else, right after we visited, so you should go and check out these new limited release beers. They have happy hour 4-7 I think some days,which makes beer taste even better. We will be back, this is a brewery to watch in the coming years. read more

I have been here a handful of times now and it is officially kick ass! First off, the brews are diverse and delicious. Yesterday there were two pints that contributed to cancer charities (one for gents and one for ladies) available. And there was a variety of other options varying from the So Fresh and So Cream blueberry (prostate cancer donation included in price) to Amber to Kolsch, to IPA, and on and on! Good stuff. Also, they have a great location and a lot of games as well as an amazing atmosphere. They get a little crazy busy during peak hours, but that is to be expected with this level of quality. They also have a really welcoming and friendly vibe. I have always had great service and the layout offers a variety of seating options. The design is ADA accessible and the restrooms provide complimentary ladies products. Pretty much the coolest place to kill a couple of hours and help a couple of good causes! read more

Another addition to Denvers (and my) growing list of recent breweries, Joyride came highly recommended by some good friends. I ended up here for a surprise party for my birthday. I tried just about all the beers they had, the Edgewater IPA and the stout were my favorite. I also enjoyed the pumpkin beer. Our server was amazing, I wish I could remember her name. I love Edgewater and I love Joyride! Such a great neighborhood spot. I live right down the block and it's awesome to be able to wander over here for a beer or three. They've usually got a food truck parked outside as well. The brewery is quite spacious and the garage doors opening up to Sloan's Lake are such a nice touch. There's also a little outdoor area in the back. They are very dog friendly, I think every single time I've been in here I've seen a dog. This is great for me because a) I love dogs and b) I have a puppy of my own and I love that he can hang out while I drink delicious beer. However, if you're someone who doesn't like having dogs around in a bar/restaurant environment....well, you're SOL here. Anyway, the most important part of a brewery is obviously the beer so onto that: for a new brewery, I think they are doing a great job. Sure, I would love to see a little more variety on tap eventually but I also think it's good that they aren't spreading themselves too thin right away. I really enjoy the Edgewater IPA but my new favorite is the Double IPA. It's got a great hoppy flavor to it and the best part: it comes in a smaller (10 oz) glass than the other beers, but they only charge $4. It always irritates me when places serve their high ABV beers in a smaller glass and then charge more for it as well. Their pumpkin ale is also delicious. I enjoy pumpkin beers but am very picky about them and I think this is a good one. Their saison is okay but not the greatest. I'm sure it will continue to improve. The stout is way too sweet for me but the Cougar pale ale is solid. The service at the bar is awesome. The majority of the bartenders are very friendly and fun to talk to. The service at the tables seems to be hit or miss. This is okay for me because I prefer sitting at the bar anyway, there's always interesting people to meet. So many cool neighbors! But, I've come here with my roommates and sat at a table for 10+ minutes trying to get someones attention. We weren't involved in a deep conversation or anything...all 3 of us were blatantly trying to make eye contact with the waitresses who kept walking by. It was weird and made me wonder if they stop table service at some point? But I don't think they do, I think the servers must just be overwhelmed (or ignorant). No big deal, I walked up to the bar and got a drink within a minute. I'm happy that they are here and I'm looking forward to watching them grow! read more

Needs major service management improvements. The Manager runs the whole establishment like an overbearing family host at Thanksgiving. Sorry can you take off your shoes? Sorry can you rinse your dish? Sorry that couch isn't for sitting...Sorry I prefer an empty business? He trails you around, and quotes the City of Edgewater enforcement as if they are the Gestapo. And then sits next to some single girl at the bar, as if his customers don't notice. You have to smoke at the Wheat Ridge city limits, and are you driving? Well that doesn't matter, because regardless on your 4th beer of the night (in 3 hours) he'll force the waitress to ask you if you're driving or walking. Thanks for making my friends 30th Birthday akward, brah. I've never heard that question asked at Frasca, The Penrose Room, Sushi Den, or any of the other top places in Colorado. Is this a coincidence or service gap? This is very unfortunate because the waitstaff and bartenders are excellent. The beer is refined for such a new brewery. They do a good trivia night, and constantly book food trucks. The place is clean, the music is just loud enough, but dang the awkwardness of the manager... Maybe he can work a week with Bobby Stuckey and learn how to become a Hospitalian. One star, plus one for our awesome waitress from Ohio. read more

These guys have set up a pretty fine little brewery in a small area of Denver that isn't over-run with beer guzzlers just yet. While I was bummed to see that the mural that use to run alongside the building was removed, they, the owners, were just as bummed. But because of building codes, I guess it had to be done. However, the beer they are serving kinda still makes me like them. :) Their IPA, my usual go-to, is nice, hoppy, and totally easy to drink. While I was there recently, I tried both their "naughty" and their "nice" Porters. Both were yummy, but I opted for a full pint the "nice." With the vanilla flavors, it paired really nice with my spicy Thai food from across the street. read more

The views are perfect with the big open windows and the lake right there. Dogs are allowed and they kept quiet for the most part. I might try to bring mine one day. They didn't really have any beer I was interested in so I got the Pilsner. It was good but Pilsners are a pretty solid basic choice.I hear they rotate often so this is exciting to me. I will be back here every week when its warm when they have blackberry and other fruit infusions!! There is bike parking and it's a close and smooth walk (3-5 miles) from anywhere closeby.. I missed the food truck but they have warm pretzels if you get hungry. The waitress was chill and attentive. I like this spot. read more

It's just what one would expect from a hip, Denver brewery. They have an excellent selection of brews that spans the entire beer spectrum. From IPAs to wheats, to lagers, to stouts, to reds - they have it all. A little something for everyone. I also like that they have two different sized growlers. Go big or small and take some home to enjoy! The location is very convenient and easy to find - right on the corner of Sheridan and Byron. I think this place has honestly become my new favorite brewery! My crew went on a busy Sunday, hoping the crowds from the Colfax Marathon wouldn't make it all the way to Edgewater. Well, not only were there quite a few Colfax runners, but the place was just ridiculously popular - you can tell it is a favorite neighborhood hangout! The brewery is right across Sheridan from Sloan's Lake, which you can see from your seats if you get the right ones along their wall of garage doors. We settled on a center table between the bar and the window tables, and enjoyed the fresh, albeit chilly, breeze on an overcast day. I don't even know where to begin when listing what I like about this place. Besides the great wall of garage doors, we had really nice and friendly service, as well some as some really tasty beer. I settled on a Belgian brewed with honey to start off, but its 8.2% ABV had me switching to the the Cranberry Cream ale after my first glass. Both beers were very drinkable. The Belgian stayed true to its style and was sweet and yeasty with a hint of bubble gum. The cranberry cream was good for fruit lovers, and apparently they do different fruity incarnations of the same base cream ale, so I can't wait to try those! We also tried the Peach Berlinerweisse, which was nice and tart, and the Oatmeal Stout, which was a touch on the smoky side but very smooth. Possibly my favorite part is the brewery's logo, which is a highly acrobatic elephant perched on the handlebars of a bike. It's quirky and fun and fresh, and the perfect ambassador for an electric, friendly, and innovative brewery. Joyride truly is a joy, and I can't wait to go back! read more

probably my favorite brewery to date in the denver area. great outdoor patio, lots of seating and a long bar inside, & a great location near sloan lake. the beer is also tremendous. long thin space that contains a long bar on the north wall. you enter from the se corner and walk thru a few high top tables, some large community tables and other smaller sizes. maybe 20 stools and an great wooden plank bar top with a steel edge (not much of a rail though but it may keep spilled beer off you) and box foot rest. bar back is mostly plain with their gear, HDTVs, and taps. past the bar are lower eating tables & games. younger crowd that all seem to be having a great time. solid bartenders that smile and will keep your beer full. read more

Joyride is a great neighborhood brewery with a good tap list that'll appeal to just about any beer drinker. Maybe not a place to put on your must-go list, but definitely worth stopping in if you're in the area. These guys have gotten increasingly busy since they've opened; it's not unheard of to show up and be unable to find a seat. That's not due to the lack of options around here, it's a testament to their beer. No off flavors, quality ingredients, and a options from light to dark to funky. They are very dog friendly, and almost always have a food truck out front. What's not to like? read more

Yum yum yum. Great vibe. Great beers. What else you want? Summer Wit is nice but outshined by waterski wheat's crisp finish. But the big winner is so fresh and so cream. Very rarely would I get a growler because I love variety but that is worth hoarding in the fridge and surprising a good friend with. I also thoroughly enjoyed the bear paw oatmeal stout. Joyride is one of my new favorite breweries! I heard about it quite some time ago, and just hadn't been able to make it over to Edgewater, but I'm very happy that I finally did. My fiance and I met up with a couple of friends there during the dragon festival - or whatever that was - on Sloan's lake. The location is amazing, it looks out over Sloan's and they have a whole wall of about 6 garage doors, so your basically hanging out outside, but covered from the sun. They have a nice outdoor area in the back as well with some yard games, all covered in turf if you're in a sporting mood. It was pretty packed on this Sunday, as well other times I've driven by since - so as long as you're not scared off by other beer lover's, great beer, and a cool venue you should probably come try out Joyride. As for the beer, my two favorites are the Joyride Double IPA - which is absolutely incredible (if you can handle it, 9.0%ABV) - and then the Bear Paw Oatmeal Milk Stout, equally incredible in it's own respect. I will definitely be back to try more as they seem to have a ton of Seasonal Brews as well. Keep up the good work Joyride! read more

It's been a long time coming to have such a great location and atmosphere in a brewery. We can ride our bikes down there to enjoy a quick pint. Speaking of pints, these guys can brew some tasty beers. The wet hopped ale and IPA/double IPA are all very tasty. They even have great board game choices and cards too in case you just don't want to leave. We keep making excuses to go down here for a beer and a bite. The rotating food truck schedule is always posted and I've yet to be disappointed with their choices. Great atmosphere, location and great beer and food. A winning combination! read more

Fantastic new brewery! I was lucky enough to get a tour by the owners, who are very informative about the process they use to make their beer. The service was fantastic, even when it was busy! Didn't have to wait long at all like some other places I've been. We also played corn hole out back in the sun while enjoying our drinks and also sat by the garage doors and watched boats on the lake. We had a sampler of all of them and I tend to drink hoppier beer but they have a variety for everyone. Highly recommend. read more

I came here to support a fundraiser, full disclosure. I must say though that I really liked my experience here! It was a beautiful day, so they had their doors wide open so that we could enjoy the fresh air and sunshine. It's got a friendly vibe, as most breweries do. On a Saturday afternoon, the place is pretty busy and full without being overly crowded. I had a couple of different beers while I hung out. The amber ale and the Ice cutter kolsch. Both were wonderful. The kolsch was refreshing and crisp, just like the name leads you to believe. The amber ale was nice, a bit citrusy and a nice balance of hops. I thought it was well rounded and a great brew for a nice day. They have a few screens for you to watch whatever game is on, and many board games in the back! Great spot that I have been meaning to check out, and it's wonderful to see how supportive they are of non-profits! Gotta love a business that gives back to the community. read more
